I think it will happen. I hope I never have to sell my bitcoins, just use them for purchases.

I'm with you there.  I'm 36, I have 9 bitcoins and I'm jealous!  It might be safer to print the private key - thumb drives sitting for 10 years could easily get corrupted and I wouldn't bet that much on them being reliable.

I want $126 per coin - because I'm happy to share! Grin  Ask me again in a week, and that price will probably go up slightly. Wink

Sept 23 target between $141.0 and $145.7

In the next 7 days I expect we will maintain the upward trend since $65.

Did you noticed? Price drop started on bitstamp first! This was never before like that.

Even before bitstamp dumping, someone pumping LTC.

Re: Peak Watch
by

This update does not really have anything to do with recent developments. I just did a little data scrubbing and it changed the projection somewhat.

Tuesday, August 20, 2013
$119

Not too shabby.

We all like targets and time frames here—right?

So there's an experimental indicator I have been toying with. I'm going to see if it can get reasonably close to calling a mid-term peak. I'll update in the thread as new data comes in and there is any change to report on the target the indicator is calling.

Wednesday, August 21, 2013
$124

—Assume your own risk, blah blah...

Looking pretty good.  Where will we be in 2 weeks?

Timing has always been a problem. I can not really tell how long the process will take, particularly since we are not trending as strongly now. But I am expecting sideways to down for a while.

What if x-axis was volume instead of time?

Chinese government likes bitcoin for the same reasons it likes precious metals.  They want to bring wealth into the country.

The last bubble took six months to deflate from $31 to $2 with lots of volatility in between.  If you are not comfortable trading a bear market, I'd recommend cut your risk and sell.

So yes, I agree with Vlad.  If you have to ask, then you don't belong in this market.

Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation
by
Flappy
on 13/06/2012, 00:35:11 UTC
Just got two emails, presumably from bitcoinica...
But no link was supplied.
Am I supposed to know where to find my claim?

The First: ************************************
Bitcoinica verify@bitcoinica.com via sendgrid.info  4:54 PM

Please verify your ownership of the claimed account by opening the claim and authenticating.

The Second: *************************************
Bitcoinica verify@bitcoinica.com via sendgrid.info 5:20 PM

The previous message has left some people confused.

This is about password verification of claims.

Please open your claim page (the one sent to you in the first email) and enter your bitcoinica password in the form towards the bottom of the page.

We are doing this to verify that the person who has opened the claim is the person who owned the account being claimed.

Sorry for the confusion.

At 4.6 I was feeling a strong urge to sell...

I'm like, OMG what should I do?

So I panicked... and hit the buy button! Cheesy

Zhou will always be mtgox api's bitch..

Live and learn..

That's irrelevant.  Mtgox never went below 4.85.  If Zhou lost connectivity then he should pause trading!  It's inexcusable to execute orders like this.  Offering zero margin is more of an insult than a compensation.

The rules are the same as before, just market depth, no mark-up spreads. We will pay Mt. Gox fees for hedging ourselves.

This does nothing to compensate those who took a loss because of your slipshod service.

Look at this order history!

        344068   BTCUSD   Stop    50.0   $5.0900   13 Mar 08:30   Executed @ 5.4691
 ---> 330691   BTCUSD   Stop   -50.0   $4.7000   13 Mar 08:30   Executed @ 4.4549  <--- the very next block!
        330690   BTCUSD   Stop    50.0   $5.0900   13 Mar 08:30   Executed @ 5.4703   <--- this executes first

First a buy is triggered at 5.09.  It executes at 5.47
Then a sell is triggered at 4.7, and executes at 4.45   <--- EXPLAIN THIS!!!
Again a buy triggers at 5.09 and executes at 5.46

All within seconds.

Stop sell orders below 4.8 should not have executed.  These should be reversed.

EDIT:

Like this one:
Position #11057 liquidated @ 4.4549

I won't be using stop orders again until the algorithm is fixed.
