Does the Coinomi app you used have a BTC wallet too or only a BTG one?

Check with passwords you already used elsewhere (at the time), check browser for saved passwords, I my case a lost pin/password just popped up in my brain after several days.

Is that 4 vid. cards, if so I suspect power issues, start with 1 card, if ok then 2 etc. Besides that remove the 2GB stick, adds nothing but chances of mem errors.

For me Coinomi works without flaws, supports many altcoins too, easy access to shapeshift and changelly exchanges, seed and password protected, ways to set your own fee height.

How has this worked out, any success?
I wonder btw if shapeshift sorts this things out by themselves if one would not ask, had to take this route myself twice already with them.

Of course you already ran a check-disk with file system error fixing and bad sector scan/repair, right? Are there more files corrupted on that disk?

Re: Lost wallet but still have keys

This sounds confusing to me: have things changed these last years? The 15.... key is my public address right? That should not change when I make a transaction is it? Maybe I was never aware how a transaction really took place.
How can I check this in Electrum?
And don't forget to get the altcoins you also have from blockchain splittings that passed recently, BCH (bitcoincash) and BTG (bitcoingold), both at a 1:1 ratio for the BTC you have, and BCD (bitcoindiamond) at a 10:1 ratio. If you use an android phone, consider Coinomi as wallet, covers most cryptocoins but BCD not yet.

Re: Can anyone help me in claiming Bitcoin Gold coin.

Dont use coinomi to claim BTG my friend got hacked too,he lost 3.5BTC thats a year of investment i feel sorry for him.

How did that happen? Was it because of Coinomi or because the lack or replay protection of Bitcoin Gold?

Actually coinomi wallet is compromised and now the hackers are using it to hack the wallets and steal the coins from the coinomi wallet. It is much better that not to claim Bitcoin Gold coins as they have not hardfork it professional way. So they have not uploaded the details online

Are you serious?! I had no idea that happened. Why is Coinomi still listed on the Bitcoin Gold official website?

Ya it is very serious as i have seen some two or three threads where user stated of getting scammed when they used coinomi bitcoin gold wallet and lost all their coins.
Then show these threads, just claiming coinomi is a fraud doesn't add up, there would be thousands of scammed people reporting by now if true.

Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG)

Hello Guys,

I need your help to recover my bitcoin gold from my exodus private key

So I explain.

I had my bitcoins on exodus wallet on my MAC before the fork, but since exodus is not supporting the fork and BTG, I decided to transfer my BTC to my ledger nano S wallet.

The fork was supposed to happen on the 25/10 on bloc 491407, so the 24/10 at 2:34PM I transferred my BTC from Exodus wallet to my ledger nano S.

The problem is that the transaction took place on bloc 491 494, after the snapshot and the fork which come earlier that expected!!

So to get back my bitcoin gold, I had to export my private key from exodus, and import it into coinomi for example , following this thread: https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/63088/claiming-my-btg-from-my-btc-private-key

But when I follow the steps, and I sweep my wallet in coinomi, I got the following message "The private key does not contain any funds".

So I went there (https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin%20gold/ ) and entered the public key of my BTC wallet in exodus, and I can see the amount that I earn.

Do you know why coinomi is telling me that my private key does not contain any fund?

Is there anyone who can help me getting back my BTG?

Thanks a lot for your help!
Don't sweep the wallet by key, use a fresh Coinomi and choose restore wallet by key (word seed).

Okay so during the bitcoin fork my btc was stored on coinomi. Then after a while I transferred my BTC somewhere.
Now how can I get my BTG?
Add a btg wallet in the same coinomi, use M/44H/0H/0H as derivation path to get btg from btc that already were in your coinomi pre-split, or,
restore a wallet with a word seed in Coinomi from scratch. Do not alter the derivation path when adding the btg part of your wallet.

Hello,
do you know where I can find detailed instruction on how to import a BTG wallet (created with Copay) on Coinomi?
I have tried to insert the pass phrase (12 words), but the balance showed is 0 (probably due to BIP incompatibility).
I have also specified the derivation path (M/44H/0H/0H), but the balance is still null.
Thank you for the help!  Undecided
You have to restore a wallet with the word seed in Coinomi from scratch, not sweep a wallet. Do not alter the derivation path when adding the btg part of your wallet. Only use the M/44H/0H/0H derivation path to get btg from btc that already were in your coinomi pre-split.

Sweep and enter seed from mycelium to coinomi does not work, key format not recognized, however restore wallet from scratch in coinomi works right away with the same seed.

At first I set the derivation path when adding the btg coin in Coinomi to M/44H/0H/0H, no btg showed up. I added a second btg coin part in the same Coinomi but now without altering the derivation path and the coins showed up right away.

@HostFat Thanks for this awesome guide. It really helps.
@Flat.E - thanks for your support in this thread, I've been reading it all.

I just need a few confirmations on what *I think* I must do in order to claim the BCH.
So, I have btc in a electrum android wallet. Some of them are still there, some were spent. I understand that only the ones BEFORE aug 1 split are eligible for BCH.

1. I think best solution is to move all bitcoins from the android electrum wallet to a paper wallet (yes, better to be safe than sorry with the private keys...)
2. I already got the android electrON apk file, checked the signature and checksum. I did not install it on my phone yet.
3. After electron Installation on android, I should restore the wallet from seed. And the BCH should be already there? I don't want to do something wrong.

Had somebody tried this, with success?
Thanks,
Flavius.

1. The idea is to get your BTC out of the wallet whose seed you will be using to restore to another wallet prog., so if someone steals your seed (malicious- software/-BCHwallet/-seed extractor) they can not access your BTC. Other wallet prog. or paper wallet, doesn't matter.
3. Yes, that's the procedure. Every wallet that had BTC up till august 1-2017 12.00 utc should have the same amount of BCH in it. After the restore from seed to a BCH wallet, the BCH must show up.

@sir.humus, don't have an answer to that, try different wallets to retrieve you BCH perhaps?

I tried to get private key for blockchain.info through the html code downloaded, but after I input 12 words, it listed a lot of addresses which none of them is my blockchain.info address. I did set the client to blockchain.info. Any idea on it?
Anyone can help on it, please?
Use electroncash on a windows pc.
In electroncash: file-new/restore, pick a name-next, standard wallet-next, "I already have a seed"-next, enter seed words- under option check bip39, next etc.

But how would you get Bitcoin cash out of a multisig electrum address?
1.Start ElectronCash (Make sure you have latest version) https://www.electroncash.org/
2.Click on New/Restore
3.Select wallet with two-factor authentication and click Next
4.Select I already have a seed and click "Next"
5.Enter your Electrum wallet seed and click Next
6.Select disable and click next
7.Enter password and click next etc.

Great information. Very helpful.

I am hoping you can help some more  Wink

I am trying to import from Multibit classic.  I have exported the private key but when I try to sweep it in Coinomi I get the following error.  What are my options?

"The transaction is bigger than what the network allows, try sending a different amount"
I suspect this is due to this wallet having lots of transactions (was used for mining).  My other multibit classic wallets imported fine.

Thanks,
NJ

Anyone has any ideas?  Been working on this for days.   Undecided
Try it with another bch wallet software?
