I have decided to open this thread in order to help ONLY Newbie and Jr. Members and give them a chance to rank up.
The reason why I am doing this only for Newbie and Jr. Members is that sometimes their posts can be overlooked and they might have a hard time getting those needed merits even though they try hard to make a quality contribution. This doesn't mean this is a merit giveaway thread because it is not. You will have to show me your posts that you think deserve to be merited, I will take a look at the suggested posts and other posts from your profile and decide whether to give you a merit or not.
Read the rules, make sure you understand them! This will be a self-moderated thread, I will remove any off-topic posts or applications from members that dont comply with the rules. I will put aside X Merits that will be given to X different Newbie/Jr. Member accounts - 1 Merit per Account ONLY.
This thread will stay open for 2 days. After that I will lock it and go over the applications.

I have nothing against bounty campaigns BUT if 99% of your posts are in the Altcoin > Bounty Section / Thread Bumps / Off topic posts / Low quality / Spam / Nice project, good luck type of posts / you will not be considered.
6. Only NEWBIE/JR. MEMBER Accounts will be considered, no other ranks.
7. Only posts written in decent English will be considered, NO posts from Local Boards.

My advise to you on the last question is to work hard and earn merits. when you have enough merits. move to the service sections to join bounty payments that pays in ethereum and bitcoins. this the only sure way to earn a penny here. do not listen or join any airdrop activities here because it is a business for some scam people.
Yes, some airdrops didnt have value at all, and i ever got scammed too..

For me i will slowly to increases activity as long merit to join bounty payment as you explain...
my personal opinion is sometime merit and rank are important for people that have good and spend so much time in bitcointalk
and some airdrops chaser like me that require to be junior/senior members.
but merit isnt the main focus, as we can still look and read posts, find some knowledges or informations.

Looking for alternatives is better for you. Never use the custodial wallet as your main wallet. Stick with something like Electrum, Ledger, Trezor etc or run your own node if you want to. It will take some time to adjust how you buy or sell bitcoin but it's definitely worth it.

And as soon as you exchange more than a couple hundred bucks, freewallet will arbitrarily lock your account and make you jump trough loads and loads of hoops to unlock the money that was yours in the first place.
They'll ask scans of your id, they'll force you to contact them for a video chat, they'll force you to prove where your funds came from... Freewallet isn't a wallet, it's an exchange disguised as a wallet. I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.
