I am aware that many signal groups could be fine for sometimes to build trust before they will pull the rug with pump and dump scam.  I also know that some are legit but are highly priced. Can I have a trading signal group of low fees, it could be free for a start and if there are good testimonies, I don't mind paying some fees.
When I was a newbie in trading I lose  a lot of money trading signals. Some signal groups are actually good, but some are very ridiculous. But I opined  that before you join or about do join a signal group do you all the basic about trading because it involves high risk and you might lose a lot of money trading signal.

Everyone's time is limited, and chasing external validation and recognition only takes us further away from our true selves.
Waiting for validation from people is a waste of time and effort, because you end up pleasing the wrong people. You should rather invest  in  your personal development. Because in life if you like do good or do bad people must criticize you. So enough is enough you don't need to explain yourself to anyone. Rather improve and work on your growth and personal development daily.

Re: Beginners mentally about trading
by
Freepips
on 24/02/2025, 18:43:39 UTC
Why does beginners always think trading is that easier for them to make profits?
Never wanted to relates this over here but i feels it's extremely important for us to discuss this and also make the beginners knows that trading is actually profitable but they must know the basics of trading, possibly spend some time doing their research to gain the right knowledge towards trading before they could start making profits.

It's all happened last week (thereabouts) when someone around a place I went to drink came up with this issues, we all sat in same table. You know as a free person and whom they also knows around that area, they were talking about how he was introduced to trading and promised him about making profits within 7 days of him joining trading. I actually never had interest to listen to him but what made me put it up was when he said he heard it on radio station where they talking about the trading and they both picked interest to start the training but after 7 days as they promised them to start making profits they began to witnessed several losses and it was like they have lose what they don't expect anymore and they decided to quit and asked if trading was that simple for those who are trading.

Well, I was actually perplexed and lacking of words to say towards their experience but I what I noticed is that they don't go for the knowledge rather both went for profits and as they said there were some consultation fees they paid and few fees to start up their class but it was on the knowledge that they would start making profits within 7-14 days.

My question is, is it that possible for a beginner to start making profits from trading within 7-14 days? If yes, how was it to you when you started trading newly?
I may say is possible for a newbie or beginner to start making profit from trading within 7-14 days? but data has it that beginners lose money in their first to two years in trading. It take 10000 hours to master a skill proficiently. My journey was not an exception I was still losing money even in my 2  and half years in trading until I started journalling all my trading activities, do proper back testing. Developing myself both emotional, physchologically and metally, with consistency, patience and perseverance.

Re: Is it okay to trade without a source of income?
by
Freepips
on 24/02/2025, 18:22:55 UTC
At the beginning I want to say that I am a semi-skilled trader. I do not have any source of income. I have been learning trading for the past 13 to 15 months and investing for 5 months. But even though I am temporarily profitable from here, I am completely losing because I cannot control my emotions. This is repeating itself with me again and again. Even yesterday I lost my capital along with my profit.

Then I plan to take a loan from my friend to deposit in trading again. When I asked him for financial help to deposit in trading, he advised me to find a source of income before entering trading again and advised me to refrain from trading recently and introduced me to this forum so that I can gain deep knowledge about trading. He even advised me to gain deep knowledge about Bitcoin investment so that after finding a source of income I can easily invest in Bitcoin. Should I accept such advice? Or should I go back to trading anyway? I am seeking proper advice from experienced people.
First of all you don't need to take a loan from your friend to deposit in your trading account, because  definitely now or later you will loss it all. Having a source of income is essential for your profitability is trading. You need to first of all get a source of income as your friend advise. Seek for more knowledge in trading,  development your self emotional and psychology. Set a realistic  trading goals and plan for yourself. Sometime why you are lossing your profit back is because of overtrading. Journals all your trading activities and backtesting it properly.

Re: Every successful person had a mentor
by
Freepips
on 24/02/2025, 17:38:20 UTC
I would like to discuss this here to understand how many people decide to take this step to find a mentor?

I asked myself this question because in almost every book or interview with successful people I come across a mention of them having, or even currently having a mentor who guides them, helps them develop, and perhaps points out mistakes that will not allow them to grow.

And I was interested in how many of you at some point decided that you needed a mentor, how difficult it was to find one and how did he help you? I suppose that few people use this, maybe even out of fear, because for example I don’t even know who it could be and how can I ask my future mentor about this if I manage to find such a person.

And maybe some of you have been a mentor for other people? Share your experience too, if it is not too much trouble for you.
Having a mentor in your journey to a success life is essential, but on the contrary you dont need to have a mentor to be a successful person in life. Been a successful person is all about your mindset. Is better to have a role model, someone whom you  emulate and hope to be like. Success from my perspective is 95% mindset and 5% hard work. I always tell my folks to always feature in the picture of their future. Been a successful person is not all about having a mentor is all  about having a creative mindset that is free of all encumbrance.

Re: Sadness and unhappy people and lack of purpose in life causing extreme greed
by
Freepips
on 24/02/2025, 17:11:04 UTC
The problem is that the modern world has tied it's happiness around money and physical assets,  while these can bring satisfaction, they shouldn't be a hallmark of happiness. This is because once they are gone, happiness automatically disappears. True happiness should be from your everyday life and the relationship you have with people irrespective of social status and financial status.. this helps you see the good in people and the positives side of living away from the aspect of money.
In the contemporary society many people is full of greed. Driven by money and physical asset. And when their desire and quest for monetary value are not met they are depressed some even commit suicide. It is better to avoid  such people because that  state of mind is  like an infectious disease. Unhappy people can do anything out of greed. Unhappy people thinks their happiness is tied to money and physical asset. Rather they forget that if  they are not happiness personified money and physical asset will only be a  vehicular tools for greedy living.

Re: Let's be realistic there is no short cuts work step by step and accieve success
by
Freepips
on 24/02/2025, 16:51:32 UTC
Its time to be real here, and young people shoul not make world view that they can build up their wealth success or anything fast.
Even If people talking about that criminal life is short -cut then even on this people been working years and years to accieve success in some shady actions so first they tought it's a short cut but later they realised..."short cuts" doesn't work.
So let's repeat there is no short cuts, you just build brick by brick step by step and move small success and small progress after small success and you move.

It should be clear that: there is no short cuts no matter what you do.

And If you see anyone who got what they got by working towards all this, then nobody don't tell you it was quick.
So first thing what people should understood If they want to accieve something they need time and need to forget their mindset they will get something quick.

True success requires no short cut. True Success is an accumulation of past failures,  consistency, sacrifice, commitment and perseverance. In every success story is a hidden and bitter experienced fuel by visions, goals, desires and a persistent quest for success and  achievement.

Re: As a trader, is it worth consistently trading only BTC?
by
Freepips
on 21/02/2025, 08:57:20 UTC
As a trader i strongly believe Bitcoin offers stability and dominance which is one of the core reasons why most traders stick to trading bitcoin on the other hand altcoins brings high-risk, high-reward opportunities. The volatility in altcoins presents both risks and opportunities. As a trader, navigating uncertainty strategically can lead to high-reward trades, though for me, I mostly choose to trade BTC while leveraging a good derivatives platform. What about you and which exchange did you use in trading, kindly share with us.
BTC is mostly better to buy and hold than to trade.
But for me i have been speculating BTC for sometime now and i have been almost 60% up for about 9 months now. Come to think of it, I still hold BTC and I always on a daily basis speculate it for a sustainable profit.

Re: FG slaps Binance with fresh $81.5bn suit over economic losses, tax
by

The Federal Government has approached the Federal High Court in Abuja to compel the cryptocurrency exchange company, Binance Holdings Limited, to pay $79.51 billion and ₦231 million for alleged economic losses caused by its operations in Nigeria.

In the lawsuit, Binance and two of its executives, Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla, are accused of contravening Nigerian laws, including failing to register with FIRS for tax compliance and allegedly causing economic losses to the country during the review period.

Punch

My contri  people I strongly believe say  this law suits dey come as a result of the accusations wey Tigran Gambaryan been accuse the federal govt for trying  to force  him to pay a bribe of $150 million. Looks like the govt is fighting back and want to deal with him for bringing out the  bribery matter to the public
This is Nigeria anything can happen, Nigeria government can do anything to cover their corruption and bribery. It is very obvious that our government is always against anything that help to build and sustain the youth in our dear country. But nevertheless this is always a way out.

Re: Do you follow your mentor guidelines or do you follow your lust?
by
Freepips
on 11/02/2025, 15:29:10 UTC
One of the popular alternative sources of income for cryptocurrency enthusiasts and forum members is trading, trading requires skills and these skills come with a long time of practice which gives birth to mentorship in cryptocurrency trading, most of us believe and agree that having a mentor in trading increases your chances of success by 50%, but the problem is that most of us traders still lose heavily all because we refuse to follow the right trading path.

What do you do and what is your success recorded, do you follow your mentor's guidelines and advice?

Do you follow your instincts and if yes what are the results you got in terms of the profits ratio against the loss ratio?

Having a mentor who is killing it in the market is essential in the trading industry, it somehow help to fast track your trading success and profitability. But trading is a personal journey base on  your personal development, emotional control and market reactivity. The way you might response and react to market psychology might be different  from the way your mentor might react.  But having a mentor does not guarantee  success and profitability in the market.

Hello everyone, are we going to see 150k this year because it seems Donald Trump does not have time for BTC again?

Yes we can not deny  Trump's effect  in the crypto space.
But US economy is not the sole determinant of BTC price  movement.  As investors we all want BTC to hit 150k soon but we must also consider other factors such as economic values, fundamental analysis, technical
and  algorithm movement. BTC will definitely hit 150k during a good pull run.

The rule of 90 or 90% rule is a gloomy statistics that was suppose to serve as a reminder or caution newbies traders. The rule states that "90% of traders lose 90% of their funds in their first 90 days of trading."

Do you believe that? I hope this caution new traders that are opportune to read it.

Useful piece: https://trendspider.com/learning-center/the-rule-of-90/
Yes the rule is correct, 90% of newbie traders lose money in their first 90 days in trading but it does not stop there. They will continue to lose money if they didn't acquire the right knowledge on their journey to become a successful and profitable trader to be among  the 10% profitable traders in the trading industry.

Yes but on the contrary no because been successful is not about mentorship is all about your mindset and mentality. Having a mentor might help to fast track your journey to  a successful life. But developing your mind, building yourself is sacrosanct to your personal success. Having a role model of who you want to become, creating a mental picture of  the successful life you aim for yourself and working towards it day in day out is one of the tenant of a successful life.

What does it mean to be informed?
An informed investor we have their long term investment goals in mind before being pressured into any volatile investment by all this finfluencer's that are just influencing investor's to invest one shitcoin.focus on your long term BTC investment, because an impulsive investment can derail your long term investment strategy.
Been an informed investor also implies that before you make an investment decision about any crypto asset or coin you must have sophisticated information about it in terms of fundamental, volatility, technical, market value and usage.

First is full of mystery. But making history outta the mysteries of life is what makes one brave and courageous.
On can have 10th of opportunities and achieving all, but a life without plans or management is like a blind man with no leads-stick.
The important of life management can not be overemphasis. A live without goal and purpose is a life without management full of chaos and impeding doom.

Should i start my Youtube ?
So guys plz check my latest posts not the old ones much Im smarter now because i took the course and i paid to someone who was teaching me a lot things so the latest posts are all about what i been learning from my menthor whos extremly educated as he did not agree to teach me for cheap money i paid something to him and im still paying because we agreed like that.- wich makes sense because nothing comes for free - so while Im making now decent profits Im still paying to him because he did not get his knowledge for free either.

So based on that check my this month posts here and tell me If i should start making my videos on youtube and sharing interesting content about trading and markets and about many interesting subjects.

Thank you for your opinion If older members here telling Im good to go i'll considering that If they say mostly im not good then i don't start it.

Yes why not. The best time is now. But it all depends on your commitment and consistency. Start it now, but in all your effort, you will get better and the sky will be your limit. But be specific in your niche, if is a trading channel is still good, just share what you love and what you know how to do best.

Re: Has DeepSeek burst the US tech bubble?
by

on 07/02/2025, 16:26:23 UTC
I don't know if you've heard by now, but today's dip is mainly because DeepSeek, a Chinese artificial intelligence company has developed an open-source artificial intelligence model that some say works better than ChatGPT and other US AIs, and more importantly, does it for a fraction of the cost. This comes shortly /2025/01/21/tech/openai-oracle-softbank-trump-ai-investment/index.html]after the US announced a $500B investment in AI.

The tech bubble has been behind the success of Nvidia, the world's most profitable company until MicroStrategy came into play. These companies, many of which have AI projects, have caused a huge demand for hardware that with the success of DeepSeek is now in doubt as to whether it will continue to be needed.

As a result, Nvidia is currently down 17% in today's session, and the Nasdaq is down 3.32%. As you may have noticed it has affected the markets in general and also bitcoin and cryptocurrencies which are also trading down today.

Here is an article on the subject: Why Is DeepSeek Sinking Nvidia Stock?

What do you think about it?

Deepseek is a wake of call to American tech space. It is more dynamic and magical compare to all Ai own and developed in US. Just in a little space of time it as cause numerous destabilization to US economy considering the market dip, stock crash and other issue in AI developmental priority in the US today. Deep seek is 100% free compare to our before more cleaver and versatile  ChatGPT.

I don't know whether na to celebrate to this "additional states" or not because this na the least thing wey we Nigerians d think as the problem wey we get as a country. The House of Representative Committee is proposing the creation of 31 additional state, to the already 36 existing state. Which will now sum up to 67 states, looks very funny to me cos I no expect am.

Nigerians celebrate as lawmakers propose the creation of 31 new states in Nigeria

The House of Representatives Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution has proposed the creation of 31 additional states, which would increase Nigeria’s states from 36 to 67 if approved.

Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu read the proposal during Thursday’s plenary, listing the new states across different geopolitical zones.

In the North-Central, the proposed states include Benue Ala, Okun, Okura, Confluence, Apa-Agba, Apa, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The North-East will have Amana, Katagum, Savannah, and Muri, while the North-West is set to get New Kaduna, Gurara, Tiga, Kainji, and Ghari.

In the South-East, the proposed states are Etiti, Adada, Urashi, Orlu, and Aba. The South-South will have Ogoja, Warri, Bori, and Obolo, while the South-West is expected to get Toru-Ebe, Ibadan, Lagoon, Ijebu, and Oke-Ogun/Ife-Ijesha.

For the proposal to take effect, it requires approval from two-thirds of the National Assembly, affected State Assemblies, and Local Government Councils.

How una take see this new development cos already the 36 states wey d for the country is not even sustainable, House of Representative wan add another governors with their wahala give us
At the time when Nigerian are in hunger, high cost of living , inflation and high interest rate is the order of the day. Then politicians with misplace priority will sit down and propose more 31 states when they have not been able to combat and tackle the numerous problems of Nigeria. Some Nigerian might be happy but I can't celebrate  such development when  people are suffering.

Re: Should I Get a Loan?

on 06/02/2025, 20:27:28 UTC
What I see about bitcoin is its gonna bounce between 100-110k to 80-90k for a long time (at least until Trump takes over). I have an option to take a 2.8k $ loan from a bank and pay 3.4k $ in 8 months. (I'm gonna start paying it after 2 months so you may assume its 6 months). Should I get that loan and make 3x - 5x margin trades on Bitcoin with this strategy? I really appreciate your help. Take Care.
Securing a loan for trading is first of all a very bad investment. From my personal experience, 2020 when I was introduce to trading, after seeing all the opportunity in  trading after 3 months of learning I loaned money from my elder brother and promise to pay back is 3 months time. I loss all the money. And I was not able to pay back. I have to look for another means to pay back the money. Considering the emotional and psychological aspects of trading it is not advisable to take a loan for trading.
