Re: Bitcoin solving the problem of intermediary

Wow that's great, but for sure bitcoin really helps right, especially if you have different currency, and your currency is in a weak condition so its value lower, then it will cause more problems that you have to pay higher price since you're paying it in USD. But with bitcoin, the currency value won't differ anymore, you two will have the same currency to transact, of course it will save a lot of time, inconvenient and might be more fair for both of you as well, without needing to care about the value of your own currency and the exchange rates. For me myself, i haven't got any experience like that since i haven't been able to use bitcoin for anything, but maybe if in the future i need to transact for anything outside my country, i might use bitcoin instead since it's easier and more convenient.

Re: China pushes cryptocurrency market

Cut off those who are involved in cryptocurrency transaction? damn China really do things thoroughly with bitcoin, banning it entirely. I wonder how those people in China that are investing in cryptocurrency, what's their investment condition? Can they do nothing about it? just let their coins all go in vain since it's banned and everything is illegal? Imagine if someone put a lot of their money there, and unable to get it back because the banks will be able to see that the money coming is from cryptocurrency selling or such. It'll be such a pain, not to be able to do anything due to the government's regulation.

Bitcoin really changed my life, i was in a really difficult financial condition before, but in 2017, thanks to bitcoin i'm able to be quite financially independent. I'm a bit worried about college fee and such, but thanks to bitcoin it's no longer a worry, everything is handled well thanks to bitcoin, finding it really changes my life from poor person to someone decent, have enough money to eat, go to college, and even treat myself some things i want. Without bitcoin, i don't know how my life will be, i think i'll really struggle even until now, under a lot of pressure and my mental health will be so worse. But thankfully, i found bitcoin which is able to change my life to what i am now. I'm really grateful for it.

Re: Why don't banks work with cryptocurrency?

All your statements sound true and so reasonable. Of course banks don't want to have anything to do with cryptocurrency, especially this thing can actually be such a great threat for their existence. Other than that, cryptocurrency is really hard to control, and really risky as well compared to fiat, of course they don't want to take the risk and prefer to play safe, stay in their comfort zone that has been going for years.

Re: Why are some individuals hostile to Bitcoin?
by

on 18/08/2021, 16:17:32 UTC
There are a lot of people like that, even i know some people that don't like and believe in bitcoin. From what i summarized, the reasons from them are mainly because they don't understand bitcoin well enough. Why should they use or buy coins with no real form using their real money? They just don't believe in the concept of digital currency. Some also don't want to get involved in this matter due to religious reasons, like saying it's haram and such. Other than that, they just don't understand bitcoin since it's too complicated for them, don't want to learn, and just think that it's cool to hate something popular. Sounds ridiculous i know, but it's true and happens.

Re: Why Bitcoin mining isn’t a waste of energy?
by
Freezingel
on 18/08/2021, 16:08:36 UTC
I mean, it's safe to assume that most of the "Bitcoin is a waste of energy" people probably didn't even spend enough time thinking to grasp the concept of "store of energy". That, along with the dozens and dozens of nonsense criticisms against Bitcoin.

As far as I know though, the argument against Bitcoin's energy usage is mostly in the environmental perspective. That Bitcoin is unnecessary hence is causing unnecessary damage to the environment. Funnily enough, people criticize Bitcoin's energy usage with them turning a blind eye on other "unnecessary"(not necessarily bad, but not necessarily needed for humanity to survive) energy hogs such as Christmas lights and gaming consoles.
True, in fact if we're talking about waste of energy, there are a lot more cases out there instead of bitcoin. But people will always find fault and criticize, not surprised of course. They might be thinking those kind of things because they think that bitcoin is not tangible, it has no shape so it's just a waste of energy to mine for something untouchable, and those who don't understand think that bitcoin surely has no real value. Although it might be bad for the environment, although not really if we think about it, but i don't think bitcoin mining is a waste of energy.

Re: Risk of Inflation in Economy.
by
Freezingel
on 17/08/2021, 16:02:35 UTC
Inflation can be managed if the government can do their job well actually, of course, inflation is always a problem or issue that will never disappear in our economy, and it's really dangerous as well if we don't pay enough attention to it, but i believed that great policy, precise decision making from the government, and also a control from them can help to control and manage our inflation in low inflation. If it's already going to medium inflation, the government should already pay a lot attention to it and take actions, before it's going to hyperinflation or going out of control. However, sometimes our government are too neglectant, paying to other issue, or just care about their ownselves, corruption and many others. The risk of inflation will always be there, but it can be controlled.

Re: Can Your Bitcoin Wallet Be Hacked? How Can You Secure It?
by

on 17/08/2021, 15:52:54 UTC
Yes of course your wallet can be hacked, actually there are some cases regarding that already but most of them are because of the carelessness of the owner though. Like clicking phising website, willingly input the data of the wallet to scammers, and such. Everything in the internet is vulnerable to hackers, we just need to be careful, don't believe suspicious websites or people, never give any important detail and information, keep our wallet key or password in safe place, and always be cautious. There are so many things we can do to prevent it getting hacked for sure.

Re: Musk cares for $TSLA, not Bitcoin

Well it's not surprising since in the end everyone has their own business and interest, ignorant enough to do anything just for their own good. I guess many people realized it already, of course he's not doing anything for charity, since in the end he also wants profits. So whether he plan to pump or dump the price, i guess it's all according to his plan already. Too bad many people believed and followed his words. But good thing now, many people have realized the fact and i guess he already lose his influence though, not all but not many people care or give attention to him anymore, unlike before.

I guess it's not only freedom of though that bitcoin make, but the whole new experience and limitless possibilities is also brought to us by bitcoin, making our mind realize that there are a lot more great things out there other than fiat or gold. Before, maybe we can't even imagine something like bitcoin, but now we know something like that exist, and how wonderful it is, it surely opens up our mind. We get more knowledge, know what to do with our assets, the best way to manage them, and a lot more other things all thanks to bitcoin. It surely amazing though, knowing we can be free and independent without getting controlled.

Re: Whose job should be more appreciated about Bitcoin widespread?
by
Freezingel
on 17/08/2021, 15:00:11 UTC
In my opinion, the one who deserve the appreciation is mostly the founder and also developers of bitcoin, since without them, bitcoin won't be here and of course it'll lack of many things. Other than that, we should give the appreciation to the miners, because their job keep bitcoin alive. Miners have such an important role in bitcoin. Then, i guess we should give appreciation too to us, the bitcoin users that believe bitcoin, willing to buy bitcoin, hyping bitcoin and making it as big as it is now. We, the users, the one who create the supply and demand also need appreciation to keep bitcoin alive and high like now.

Well we shouldn't care about them too in the first place. I mean, it's okay to listen to what they said, but take it with a grain of salt. Don't believe everything they said, because in the end people have their own interest. Who knows if they're lying or manipulating? We should learn and believe what we believe. Don't get swayed easily. If we know we can gain profits from bitcoin but they said no, why listen to them? listen to ourselves so we don't feel regret later on.

Re: What is the legal status of Bitcoin in your country?
by
Freezingel
on 16/08/2021, 15:55:01 UTC
In my country, bitcoin is not considered a legal currency, or that it's not allowed to be used as a transaction or payment method. However, it's not illegalized too much, like banning everything regarding bitcoin, not allowing people to mine, to transact, or even to invest in bitcoin. No, thankfully it's not into that extent. I guess my government just don't care too much with bitcoin, at that time when bitcoin is so hype back in 2017, they only give statement that it's not considered legal, and people should just avoid it for better. But they won't take any actions even if we use bitcoin or engage in anything regarding bitcoin.

Re: In COVID-19 everyone needs motivation
by

on 16/08/2021, 15:50:41 UTC
At the beginning of covid-19 last year when there was lockdown & shutter down everywhere in the world. Due to coronavirus economic activities were seized. There was an economic crisis everywhere. At our home, There was only one activity that continued staying at home, we were trading cryptocurrency. This activity proved our financial survival to meet our needs. But I think, there is still a need in the current time of trial that people should be given awareness about the importance of the cryptocurrency market.

When the lockdown was first announced in my country, the exchange rate of Bitcoin was $6,000 per coin. Now it stands at $46,000. Obviously those who had the means (and the risk taking appetite) to invest in cryptocurrency benefitted from the bull run. And it is not just the cryptocurrency market. Even the stock market is close to ATH levels, when compared to what we had in 2020. I think a lot of investors chose to invest in stocks and cryptocurrency, as the other sectors such as real estate are looking overpriced.
Yes, i had long forgotten about bitcoin since i was busy and think that the price had went down way a lot. But then, the price went up again. Thankfully, bitcoin helped me so much during the pandemic, although none of my family member got fired or anything during pandemic, but still it is hard. But i believed a lot of people benefited from cryptocurrency investment, and i'm happy too to see bitcoin being alive and rising again. So different with stocks, all of my portofolio in stocks are red, i experienced loss so much during the pandemic. Luckily bitcoin is not affected much, even being higher than ever.

Re: what makes us good investors.
by

on 16/08/2021, 15:44:42 UTC
The time I started trading cryptocurrency , it's really difficult to control emotions and always there is regrets once I sold at a lower price and suddenly the price goes up drastically. But after I understand how trading and investing works I slowly manage my emotions and focus on the market movement to avoid unexpected loses. Trading and investing is full of risk but it is also our key to gain huge profit. Become a good investors just need patience, and self discipline including on how to control and manage our emotions.
True, i experienced the same thing the moment i started trading. There were so many times that i already keep an eye on certain coin, but my greediness and unexperienced emotion want to keep waiting its price to be lower, and lower, since at that time the trend is bearish. However suddenly the price went up, hugely that i regretted it immediately. If only i buy at that time, i would still gain profit. but now i have to buy it in a higher price than before. Surely, trading needs us to learn more, understand the market and know how to control out emotion and greediness. Then we can avoid loss and gain profits from trading.

Re: China - everything is fine! But everything is bad ...

on 16/08/2021, 14:47:15 UTC
China is a greedy and inhuman country, the latest pandemic also came from China from Wuhan and they really made a lot of bad things, food or all chemical products. cause cancer, greed has not stopped there for many centuries, they always want to be global hegemony, aggressive with European countries, silently poisoning young generations of Asian countries, food also like their ideology. I always thought the CCP was no different from the old Nazis, I didn't like them.
Wow it seems like a lot of hate. Not trying to defend China, but i don't think any country is always that bad. Of course countries have their own bad sides, the same with China. I don't know if what you said is true or not, but for some people China is great, and for some people, like you China is bad. I guess you shouldn't judge too much without knowing everything, or involving directly there. China has some great aspects too, and we can't deny that it has the power to influence the world, especially economically. Yeah there are negatives but it's not all, everything has their own white and black.

Re: What is better - cryptocurrency trading or investing?
by
Freezingel
on 14/08/2021, 16:56:12 UTC
If you don't have many free time then i suggest you to invest bitcoin rather than trading it, since trading might take a lot of time. Like for example if you're employed and have a full day working hour, then it'll be better for you to buy bitcoin, and hold it. Use it as investment and just wait until the price increases. However, if you have many free time and want to do something productive, you might try cryptocurrency trading. However, make sure you understand at least the basic, and don't be careless or greedy since you might experienced a lot of loss. Try to learn, gather a lot of knowledge and experience in trading, so you won't lose your money.

Re: What factors can affect the value of Bitcoin?
by
Freezingel
on 14/08/2021, 16:50:05 UTC
I think it will still take a long time for all bitcoin to be mined, and to be honest i don't really know what will happen after that, but it will be really long so we shouldn't worry about that i guess, since if bitcoin is really surviving till that time, some experts might take action regarding that. Other than that, i think mining is still an interesting job for some. Even though they get less than before, but as long as bitcoin value is still high, and it's enough for them to cover up the expenses then it's fine. Most of the miners i know said that now their income decreases, however it still cover up the expenses and give them some earnings, so it's fine with them as long as they can still have money from it.

Re: Bitcoin is more real than money in the Bank
by
Freezingel
on 14/08/2021, 16:40:33 UTC
It might be true that one of the reasons why some governments oppose bitcoin is due to the fact that they can't control it, unfortunately. As government, they might want to be able to take control, but sadly it cannot be done with bitcoin. It's a good thing of course. Although i believed that not all government has bad intention like it, but the fact that we can have our own money and be our own bank is true. In banks, our money won't necessarily always be there. Even if we have $100,000 doesn't mean that there's $100,000 in the bank, they will use our money to give credit and such, and it might be difficult for us to get all of our money immediately if it's such a huge amount. But not with bitcoin, if we have 1 btc, then it's one btc for us. No one taking it or distributing it to others like bank.

Re: About the popularity of Bitcoin
by
Freezingel
on 12/08/2021, 14:40:57 UTC
I think it will sure be difficult for them, but i guess if bitcoin is really adopted massively and being used as daily currency, people will think how it can be modified to suit blind people. Like for example, before blind people have it difficult, but there will always be innovation made so it will be easier for them, that's the same with bitcoin i guess, many bitcoin users might think what to do to help them, maybe programming some app to help them, make a voice-based app so it'll be easier for them to use since they can't see and others. While for eldery people, it might be hard to teach them, since most of them don't want to learn anymore. However we can slowly teach them, giving tutorials, simple explanation and such, if they really want to, they will be able to. People around them should be willing to help as well.
