How many times does this corpse need to be reanimated? Just accept this is dead. Yes people have lost money, some even a lot. I was invested, and this was one of the very first coins I was invested in. I was young in crypto and naive. But there are so many other good projects you can earn money from, it just seems better to move on to them. ORB seems to be a good coin, but if it is you do not need the baggage from NoirShares! There is too much negative energy in it.
On the other hand, Mario, maybe you can just make a hardfork of ORB and allocate coins for people that have been holding coins in NoirShares and were investors, but I would not call it a merge, merely a gesture towards to those people. Or just make a new coin with some good new feature. You really do not need the bad name of NoirShares.
Even now Barwizi only responds to notice of reviving the coin, not to the BTC's he got from people that trusted him (in vain).

Is it possible to close this thread. I mean, this is useless. Everyone knows by now Barwizi will not be able to commit time to this coin and that he is still about 40 BTC (80 or more even if you count in dollars that were invested at the time) in debt with his mining investors. A takeover is useless, better invest in some other thriving coin.

I have to say that I am working in Ubuntu and not Windows, so that might be different.

Everything is still working fine for me since I imported my coins into a totally new wallet.dat. No problems whatsoever. So maybe that could be a solution for more people.

But after importing my private key into a brandnew wallet, I finally see the right amount of coins, and all the other errors are gone as well

Yes it does, should have checked that before, but was too busy with all the reloading and repairwallet to realise I could have looked that up. So bottom line, wallet is not showing the correct amount. Guess that is the case with the exchanges also and that is why they have disabled it. Hope that Dev is able to solve that soon.

It does not show it, the transactionid is not there. According to the blockchain I have sent only 1000 to Bittrex, which is strange because Bittrex is showing 2000 for that address. So guess it still must be in my wallet, but no way it is showing.

I still have the problem I had yesterday just after the fork, like I said, I had sent an amount to Bittrex, but it did not arrive there and when I was sending it I got a message that it was already sent. It was a big amount (100 million ++) and my wallet does not show it, neither does Bittrex. 2 other payments of 1000 to Bittrex before and after I sent that big amount went through and are in Bittrex. I have been redownloading the whole chain and also have done repairwallet, but it still is not there. I still get this message: Safe mode: WARNING: Invalid checkpoint found! Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or notify developers of the issue. (code -2)

I tried to send BALLS to Bittrex. First transaction after the fork went well. Tested it with 1000 BALLS and all went through. After that I tried to send a big amount and now my wallet is behaving weird. It said that the amount was already spent at first, but it is not showing up at Bittrex. Also later it said there was another stake, so I tried to send 1000 to Bittrex again, but now it says I have doubled the amount in my wallet. Guess I need to repair it or something like that, but I'd rather wait if there might be another version of the wallet later. Guess my address still contains all the BALLS, but for some reason my wallet does not know or show it. At some point it said my transaction to Bittrex was "offline", but now it shows unconfirmed.

I was already wondering if you had stopped staking, so appreciate you stopped staking for the time being. Maybe within some days when others catch up you can start staking again.

edit: or, don't know how it works when you divide the coins over more addresses? You might be able to get a lesser percentage if you divide them over 10 addresses, but will still be staking, maybe that might be an idea?

Well we will see I based my predictions on the growth between block 5084 and 7452, but if more people make it to the 5 or 10% slab it will definitely be higher. But then again that must drive up the price also

I did some calculations and I think that, if there is not much change in the percentage of coins that will be staked and if people are not accumulating much more to get a bigger stake (>1%), at the end of HighVPOS the amount of coins will not exceed 730,000,000, so even stay under 1 billion. Of course that can change with more people staking a higher percentage (more coins) or if more people decide not to stake (less coins)
