I too are nervously waiting for verification - Questions arise.
Has my account been compromised and someone else has claimed it?
I saw the stolen data and my login, email and password hash were there for the world to see.

I have my walet encrypted ( with truecypt ) and backed-up off site but it is inconvenient some times to access the file.

Yeah my uname, email, and password is on there. Just finished changing every damn password I had. Funny thing is I had a Dwolla account with the same email to log in and the same password. Someone used this info to try to hack my gmail, i assumed that they cracked the password by bruteforcing the hash, but were unsuccessful bc different password. BUT they didn't try to log in to dwolla, which had the same pw. Lucky me, I guess.

How do you get an invitation. I would like to try a reputable dealer other than Mt Gox. I have nothing against Mt Gox but it nice to see and promote competition.
As a newbie who just heard about bitcoins on a pod cast ( Buzz out loud ), I too want to get into them but @ $18+ makes me cautious. I personally think there is a lot of hype going around and the short attention span of the internet will cause prices to stabilise sooner rather than later.
Last night in a bout of impatience I sent another small payment using this format 12Z12ZMTGOX12345X. Now waiting to see how this goes. Mt Gox says it will take 24hrs but I'm taking that with a grain of salt.
Two days ago I attempted to transfer Funds from my bank account to MtGox via Technocash. This transfer has not gone through yet and it could be due to my bank truncating my to account message. My bank only allows 18 characters so a message 12Z12Z MTGOX 12345X would become 12Z12Z MTGOX 12345.
What should I do next time? Remove the spaces?? 12Z12ZMTGOX12345X

the other in this format 12Z12ZMTGOX12345X
2 to 3 days seems the current norm for a transfer.
Technocash were very good and responded to my email with "the ref "X" is just optional."
Mt Gox looks like it has changed it's deposit instructions to use only "MTGOX12345X"
Now to wait for Mt Gox to come back on-line to see what has happened to my account
