133 thousands blocks occupied 480 MB. What will in future? Gigabytes?
Is about 60 thousands bitcoin users, not all are all time online, but miners are.
All of users keep all blocks.
Some redundancy is needed for example even square root of users: each user keep only random blocks 1/250 of whole, is system database is still 250 redundant, user can keep digest block(group of blocks), could be all blocks on one server with blockexplorer but main idea is distributed database

For security I want to enable wallet.dat reading only by bitcoin client (or maybe archiver). I created group 'bitcoin'
and try
  chgrp bitcoin /usr/bin/bitcoin
  chmod g+s /usr/bin/bitcoin
  chgrp bitcoin /home/frodoj/.bitcoin/wallet.dat
  chmod 060 /home/frodo/.bitcoin/wallet.dat
but if I call bitcoin client, it crash:

When will bitcoin client works on encrypted wallet.dat?

There are connections, but very long time to appearing connection

Under Ubuntu 10.04 has connections, but Under Ubuntu 10.10 bitcoin client has no connections and start faster. Maybe any firewall block it?

Client directly connect to 8 nodes. these nodes connected to another nodes. Bitcoin client can't know how many is altogether?

How many clients is installed, how many different IP?

You encrypt only copy? To security client _must_ work on encrypted wallet, only client must known password, encrypted partitions by TryCrypt is insufficient.

Thus only way to prevent against theft is bitcoin client with encryption else trojan can steal.

True crypt and creating copy is no way. True crypt install disk and while it trojan can steal. Only way is working on encrypted by _bitocon_client_ file wallet.dat. If not yet this secure client version, can keep on mybitcoin or Mt Gox parts of money.

Alice has money on its wallet. Bob copy its wallet and send all money. On Alice wallet not this transaction, she send money. Can she send money? How prevent against theft?
