I agree with you...i allways say if somebody want coin for long term need to focus on coins-tokens or ICOs that are developing own blockchain, especialy for those which are developing som inovacy which other blockchains do not offer...For example: ethereums inovacy was that started to offer smart contracts based on blockchain - ethereum was first which beginned with it - this is the reason why is now so high....
who knows what kind of innovation will be successfull....there are many projects developing blockchains 3.0- every project try to bring somethiing new: for example quantum proof, decentralized app ...it is really difficult to say which kind of innovation in blockchain will be able to attract big attention of investors and will be considered as blockchain 3.0 .....

i have found project ethereum commonwealth or dexaran - i dont know exactly  this project working realy on good things which can fix problems which ethereum currently have.... t
hey are working on: 1. infrastructure improvments -- DexNx, PR Company, Solidity Coding Standard, Governance system, Token exchange,
                                  2. Maitaining compability with ethereum -- GETH Classics, Mist Classics, Port of Metamask, ECNS
                                  3. Important protocol updates -- Raiden, Swarm classics, Virtual Machine, zk-Snarks
                                  4. smart contracts -- ERC223 token support with support of decentraized apps
 
.I thing it is very promising project...i havent invested so far but i am watching it  - maybe later i will invest there 100 euro.......it looks similar to bitcoin -- mysterious developer satoshi nakamoto who want do improve-change something - now mysterious Dexaran from ethereum classic  who know, perhaps it could be successfull project - perhaps not

if your post is truth - than congratulations to you......but dont forget - money is nice but there is something more important and this is HEALTH  ..... if you all are healthy - you are milionairs because there are a lot of people who arent so lucky....

perhaps some new project - create a fork of doge and focused on anonymity and fast transactions with using supermodern  post quatum computing cryptography without blockchain -maybe tangle  --  would not be bad ....doge is one of the oldest coin - still have good name....if is more modern and  inovative in something -- it can easily be successfull

i would add also perhpas blockchain 3.0 technology may be successfull including projects like decentralizes apps, computers, supercomputers...and also projects focused on post quantum security and encryption or how to fully secure blockchain without need of fork of current coin....

When some coin bring-run-work-offer  new technlogy which so far hasnt been used-offered by other coins ....and this technology has great potetial ---- this the way ---hese type of coins we need to analyze and focuse on just as bitcoin brought blockchain and POW, ethereum advanced blockchain with smart contracts, monero super anonymous transactions.......

 i think statistically 1 from 50 undervalued project can in future experienced high increase of value....so if we currently have aproximately 1400 coins -- there are udoubtedly some sleeping giants which are at the moment under top200 coins in coinmarketcap and their value is very small, but in the future thanks to good inovation they can easily replace coins which are currently in top30..
2. there also are  too many ICOs --- most of them doesnt give any sense and the projects will not survive for more than 2 years, but if you make good research, separates good projects from bad and you find something unique, something what can be milestone, can influence other projects and doesnt attract too much attention, wit little luck your investment could return 100times or perhaps more..i think we should focus on  projects of which technologies are trying to upgrade blockchain or are developing own blockchain which is better, more advanced, which offer more than only simple smart contracts. Or focused on something similar to blockchain-but not blockchain as for example tangle from iota....
