Sorry we don't have time to actively maintain this thread.  But here are some updates on what is going on with FuelCoin:

New website launched: http://fuelcrypto.com/
Android app available in Google Play.

Overview of our mission: FuelCoin is not the ordinary cryptocurrency that caters to daytraders and users within the virtual currency industry.  What we have created is a sustainable cryptocurrency that is educating mainstream society about Bitcoin and its alternatives through FuelCoin.  We are working with high-level MLM groups, marketers globally, and are hosting informative calls 3 days a week each with over 150 people attending.  FuelCoin is distributed among those who are interested and funds raised are used to support the coin in both development, expansion, and stabilizing the price.  As you can see the price has grown steadily over the past several weeks (minus the recent massive pump when some crypto day traders caught wind of our initiative) and will continue to do so as we educate more and more people around the world and get them involved with Bitcoin, FuelCoin, and virtual currencies in general.  Be it as you may and call it a scam as so many people on this forum enjoy doing, but quite frankly we just do not care one bit.  Our market (mainstream society) is exponentially larger than the current industry and our business model has already started to prove itself with a massive stockpile of btc from conversions from individuals interested in learning about virtual currencies and businesses exploring the option of digital payment solutions.  With our network growing by hundreds/thousands of people per day, this is beginning to go viral and the current price is nothing compared to its potential.  If you would like to become a part of the initiative at its ground level please submit a contact form via the fuelcrypto website.

Hey Guys,
Twitter is our main source of communication. We have submitted several articles on the conversion...http://vcfundamentals.com/News_Story.php?id=14
https://www.sembrodevelopment.com/crypto-coin-party/ or http://www.altcointoday.com/for-immediate-release-fuel-coin-re-distribution-and-upgrade-deadlines-apply/

We have provided all of the resources needed to understand the process. The coin switched algos..So your old FuelCoins (sha-256) are useless and you will receive a proportionate amount of FC2 (x11/pos) once we are contacted.

We obviously are not walking away from a project that has tens of thousands of dollars invested in our matrix educational campaign (http://www.altcointoday.com/fuelcoin-matrix-marketing-unleashed/).

Please follow us on twitter @FuelCoinNews or @SembroDevelop

We understand substantially less fuel is being received but it is the same % share of total coins. Since there are so many less we will be able to start the market in the hundreds of satoshis rather than around 5-10sat.  So once it is back online at exchanges, you should see the coins as roughly the same value in btc as before the swap.  Please allow for a few days for the price to stabilize once relisted as well.

How do I find my wallet address for verification?

Not the pool address for payments.

EDIT: And the article says only 3 days but you posted 30 days in the thread.

I'll be ticked if I lose out since I started this on day one.

You can ask the pool owner or look in your transaction log.  You have up until 30 days to send in the coin amount.  We will make sure you receive your coins.

**IMPORTANT**Please read: http://vcfundamentals.com/News_Story.php?id=12

We are switching to a new algo and redistributing coins. Get your total amount into us ASAP. No need to send any coins, we just want the numerical value. Information on how to send is available within the article above.

Agreed - announcing a new coin and offering a trade-in period of only 3 days is very unfair.

FuelCoin devs are going to end up with nearly all of the coins to themselves - 50% premine plus 30-40% of the coins that will not be claimed because they only gave 3 days to do the trade-in.

You should really consider allowing at least a week or two for the FC2 trade-in.

We are going to set the period to 30 days so it gives more than enough time.

Bittrex was shut down as per our request. We will be issuing a press release tonight with details on the direction we will go to solve this solution and prevent it from happening again.

Use Fuelcoin-src https://github.com/fuelcoindev/fuelcoincode

It seems that too many clients are still on the old version and some miners may have stopped the correct fork from taking over if they were on the wrong one.  We would recommend loading your miners on the p2p pool as we know this one is on the correct fork and try to get the coins back on track.  There will be thousands of lost coins in this process but it will stabilize the network if successful.

On another note we already have a backup plan in progress to fix everything as a safety net. Just make sure to follow @FuelCoinNEWS and @altcointoday on twitter.

We need to get the pools offline while we get the coins on the right fork. Someone or group is mining on the incorrect one currently.

Hardfork coming on block 227,000 approx. 1am EST this Friday! Please update to new client before then:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/c3fifaooq3ctvin/FUEL.zip

Can you update the github with the new code?

Thanks!

https://github.com/fuelcoindev/fuelcoincode

The great thing about virtual currencies is we can always change the code back if it is not working. View it as a test run. Our large shareholders have been claiming that miners are dumping nonstop to keep the price down and lock in quick profits so we are going to test what happens after the fork.

Can you upload the source properly?  It just a ZIP file.

Sorry about that. Uploaded extracted package to same repository. https://github.com/fuelcoindev/fuelcoincode

well it is not reducing the total supply just affecting how mining it occurs. the dev wants people to be able to mine this coin for a long time. and wants this coin to be long term. i beleive it is also a drastic change. i suggested the block time be switched to 60 seconds to help with larger miners working on stale work. the block reward im not sure how keen i am on it.

Well, these changes will definitely make mining last awhile - probably 60 years or more.  Kindof ridiculous in my opinion, no one can even begin to predict what the crypto-currency world might be like 3 years from now, let alone over half a century.  Just think - 60 years ago from today we didn't even have color TV.

The existing block reward of 1,000 coins is a reasonable length of time, with roughly 1,388 days of mining (almost 4 years).  Implement some block halving intervals in there and you could easily stretch it out.

As I said earlier, I have seen others use this strategy in an attempt to inflate the price.  It sounds logical that reducing the mining rewards will eliminate alot of mine-and-dumping, which is often blamed for a drop in price.  In reality, what causes the price to drop isn't miners dumping, but a lack of confidence in the coin in general, which equates to a lack of buyers.  Miners won't dump if they are confident the price will go up.

Such a drastic reduction in mining rewards, and increased block time (and therefore slower transaction confirmation times) will be hurtful to the value of this coin.  The network will slow to a crawl when the new block reward is put in place - no one is going to mine this coin for 1/20th of the value they are getting now, unless of course the price goes up by 20x to compensate (unlikely, without other efforts than the new code base).  Just my humble opinion.

It's pretty obvious that one or more miners are dumping their coins every hour, every day. These miners don't care about what is coming for the coin to sell at such low prices. Reducing block reward will stop that.

Dumpers gonna dump, that is to be expected.  But I can confidently tell you at least 30-50% of the coins being mined each day are not being dumped, because those are being mined by me.

Reducing supply does not automagically increase demand; the only way to raise the market price is to increase the number of coins being bought.  As I said, I have seen this "block reward reduction" strategy attempted on a number of coins, it almost never works, unless it is paired with other aggressive measures to help increase awareness and community confidence.

Noob to the coin here: So is this coin dead?

Haha no. This coin has not even woken up.  http://www.altcointoday.com/?p=13661

The plans we have for this coin just would not work with miners depreciating the price. You can check out more about what makes us completely unique from any coin on the market here: http://www.altcointoday.com/?p=13661

Please PM if you would like to become a part or feel free to share with your friends.

Wow, a single address with 1.7+ billion coins, talk about a bagholder!

That's called part of the pre-mine being held by altcointoday.

We have finally finished beta testing our grassroots educational campaign and expect to send it to leaders who have contacted us and wish to participate throughout the united states, Europe, and Latin America within the next 1-2 weeks so FuelCoin should finally start taking off.  If you would like to be part of this and become a leader in your area please PM for more details.
