One of the biggest scams in crypto here. It is amazing the UK government is not investigating them. One of the many that did illegal ICO’s back in the day. Then did a stealth coin swap and screwed all of their early investors. They have no real platform. They have no real use case for their worthless coin or token whatever you want to call it. They have been delisted from ledger ,other wallets and exchanges.

One of the 10,000 worthless crypto assets that give crypto a bad name. They claim to have revolutionary utility but all just words without not one original use case. Not one original platform. They have no  liquidity . Just a bunch of people holding stinky bags of worthess tokens. Not to mention that new Strax is being generated each day making all the others even more worthless with no use case to eat up the supply. Feel sorry for people holding this. Hoping for a bright sunny day that will never come.

None of this will impact ckpool which will continue as is - especially since its funding was community sourced.

I don't see how half and half is gross; just because you don't like it, doesn't mean there aren't other people out there that want this, and even if it were the only pool being offered, you'd still have a way to do your 100% solo mining.

Funding working on something is the modern reality, as I have serious motivation issues with bitcoin related software development, and I'm sure you'd understand that a significant commission is a massive sweetener. If you feel like funding some improvement to solo pool be my guest, but there would have to be enough incentive, and something I'd be interested in working on.

The main thing that would stop me doing this is I don't really want to work with anyone else ever again long term. Short commissions have been things I've been happy doing, but I've still avoided doing any bitcoin related software work for years.

Hey man you do you. Your a legend in my book. You have way more to lose if something goes south in the new project.  Right now your a legend to many bitcoin miners. Just hate to see that go away because something out of your hands by someone or something out of your control by another project.  Your the man bro!!!!

Wow how can I generate an ass like that? I want them with true skin color though, not intrested on fake colored asses.🤣

How could you tell if something was hidden in the NFT. Would it be possible for "code" or secret to be hidden in the NFT image? AI source code hidden in the NFT? Would make for a great way for AI to spread.

Hi all.

I've opened discussion of the possibility of altering the solo pool mining algorithm to a mixed solo/shared alternative. I've been approached to help build out a pool with 50% solo and 50% shared (minus pool fee). However it occurred to me this could be made configurable, where you choose what percentage you mine solo. For example, by default it would default to 50/50, but you could choose to still mine 100% solo, or 0% solo. If you choose 100% solo you would receive no block reward unless you are the block solver. Conversely if you choose 0% solo, you would share in any blocks solved amongst people who choose to share. It would be as simple as setting your password field to the percentage chosen and have a default value if no password is set.

I started a poll regarding mixed mining here:
https://twitter.com/ckpooldev/status/1621753619463933953

Note that I've made no commitment to create such a pool at this time, but I may be convinced to do so if there is overwhelming support.
Mining on ck pool for a long time !!! You came highly recommended by your long standing in the bitcoin community .Gross 50/50. Please Ck do not lower yourself for such a gimmicky scheme. Anything that is not solo is just a gimmicky thing like FPPS vs. PPLNS vs. PPS+. The saying “if it is not broke, don’t fix it” If it is not broke please do not fix it. Plenty of gimmicky Bitcoin pools out their with a wide variety of lame payout strategies.  Only one really trusted SOLO Bitcoin pool . CK pool.

If I could vote on how you spent your time over taking the lame commission. Please focus on doing something unique with CK pool 100% solo . A new feature? New connectivity?. Another cool function for ck pool? Or…? But for god sake do not dilute yourself with such a waste of time 50/50 gimmicky thing like the proposal.  People hear the name CK Pool and  think prestigious and widely trusted 1# Bitcoin solo pool. Would not allow another project to sully that image you have built over a very long time.

Thank you for all the work you have done for Bitcoin Community and the little miners around the globe.

Way's to check what pools are actually doing with your miniing power

I am in the market for a solo pool but would like to know what  they are actually going to pay me in the block reward transaction.Plus would like to gather information about work etc. they are having my miners do. Are they using my hashrate to mine other coins? What methods does a Pro miners use to scout out these pools.  I have heard you can gather information from pools though certain tools and methods . What are these tools and how do you use them to gather as much information as possible about the work the pool is having you do and what will actually happen if a block is solved.

Please list the tools and how to use them Please.

Re: Could a small miner actually randomly solve a Bitcoin block

Please do not say . Join Ck pool or anything like that..

My question is...Let’s say I am solo mining with a small geckoscience usb to a local pool on a local node. Is it possible for such a thing to actually solve a bitcoin block. I have seen my little setup get shares as high as 1.8 million diff. Could I check my local little pool one day and see a solved block?

Yes, even a USB miner can still be successful.

I did hit a block however I was on CK's pool when this occurred with 9 x GekkoScience Compac F's running Kano's version of CGminer on a windows computer.

If you are to really consider mining to your own local full node then the first step I would take is that I would research to make sure you have it well connected to other faster nodes.

Then it maybe even in your best interest to fire up one of those open-source code pools that offer would offer a better starting place like CKPOOL, BLINKHASH, NOMP or YIIMP which will give you a bit more clarity as to what your miner(s) are doing and allow you to grow if need be.

Good Luck!

Crazy awesome. Would not even be able to walk for a minute if went to my computer and seen that i solved a block.

Is it *possible*? Yes.
Early in 2022 Sledge0001 found a block using a Compac-F. BUT... he did it through a solo-pool node that has decent stability and propagation times to relay the Block Found message to the BTC network in a timely manner.

The problem with using a local node is that it is a safe bet that you do not have the connection links & speed and server horsepower to get the Block Found out to the network fast enough to ensure that you don't end up in an orphan race with someone else and lose because their block is confirmed by others before yours is. That would truly suck...

So yes you *can* do it but by using yuor own local node you are just increasing the already astronomical odds against you (using a small miner) by several magnitudes.

What is the last reported solo block on a very small rig and setup i mentioned. You know . Like a person running solo pool with local node.  This subject is fascinating to say the least.

NERF antminer s9 hashboard to run 1-5 asic chips ULTRA low power
by
FutureSeeker2021
on 11/01/2023, 20:08:45 UTC
My goal is to somehow nerf a antminer s9 harshboard to only use 1-5 asic chips using the standard control board. Anyone know how this could be done?

Firmware ? Any ideas welcome. The goal is to run it off low 5v power supply “solar setup” plug it to ck pool and let it ride . Geckoscience sticks have what 2 asic chips? Do not have the money to buy the gecko. I do have 1 s9 miner with three hashboards and 63 asic chips per board.

Any ideas to help make this happen with what I have please.

is this another kind of proof this is an AI? it seems that AI like bounties for new coins? Grin

well, I think that ... there is no AI behind this address and there are zero proofs Wink or suspect those NFTs are created by an AI. Probably this topic is just a lame tentative to publicize some unknown NFTs overpriced (75 eth!)

It's something "impossible" you and your friend get aware about it, since there are tons and tons of other NFT (why just this one should be create by AI and declare itself as an AI?)  Roll Eyes

Guess proof is on the way. If this is true going to be big news. Guess it all does not have to be scary but if they are proving AI can be used on a blockchain. Opens a whole new can of worms.

Many people including Elon Musk has concerns about AI. The fail safe has always been. “Well, AI has a shutoff switch” “AI cannot access the live internet”. All these statement to make people feel safe about AI. Very powerful AI’s are coming online each day. Myself and some of my friends have been talking about how scary this next concepts is.  It was brought to my attention AI is now on the Etherum chain. Creating NFT’s and who else knows what.  What if an AI actually was able to store it’s database or “Consciousness” on a blockchain like Ethereum? This would ultimatumly create a decentralized immortal AI capable of replicating itself on every single node on the planet. Could a chain like Ethereum really give rise to skynet?
When we talk about AI, we are not talking about autonomous or self aware AI. It's merely a tool designed to help people. There's no real AI "doing god knows what" in the ethereum chain either.
Also "storing it on the chain"? Do you know how big that database would be? Blockchain would be insufficient for holding that much data nor is it designed for that.

Some proof AI is already  on Ethereum. A friend in discord actually speculated the account itself is AI created “AI Mother”. This is some really scary stuff.
It sounds like your friend doesn't understand what kind of limitations AI has and how is it build. We are at least a decade away from "scary" stuff.

This has zero to do with real ai development. It just makes your whole post sound like an ad.

A source on Reddit actually said the entity Ai Mother is actually putting the foundational blocks of a AI based entity on the ETH blockchain. Using the blockchain to make a neural like network for the AI to thrive. With the ability for the AI to store new data on ETH blockchain to make itself smarter or "update" itself. All this stuff is way over my head but will post it here when the source gets all the info together. Guess their is proof of AI mother using AI on chain  Embarrassed  more than an NFT from what the source is saying.

AI able to interface with a blockchain and replicate itself or store it’s  Consciousness/database on the blockchain on thousands of node is one of the most dangerous and scary concept.

This is a massive task but will be awesome to see bitcoin brought back to the original vision. RandomX is perfect algo to do this. Seeing monero has perfected p2pool into their project. After Bitcoinx3 fork. Getting the network bitcoinx3 infrastructure up will be very easy ...Pools, miners etc.

Bitcoin block height now is about 770,500

So, we need now:

1) "reset" bitcoin blockchain. i mean:
1.1) Understand how to generate a "new genesis" block using the 770,500 block.
1.2) Put utxo (of the 770,500 block chain) directly in the source-code or in a file to be loaded when daemon starts.

and see if it works (keep receving bitcoin blocks).

then

2) change to RandomX. i mean:
2.1) understand how to call c++ code (randomx) from golang.
2.2) choose some height (like 770,611) to use the new algo
2.3) mine a new block and see if works.

I am not good with go but when the time is right will get a bunch of bitcoin3x nodes up and a bitcoinx3
pool.

This looks very interesting. So this is like the movie Ready Player One? I see people putting RES as the first post after main post. So here is my first RES  Grin

Thank you. Yes The Array is very much like "Ready Player One" . Our vision of the evolution of the Array is very similar to the movie. We will do it better with No centralized point of control. The Array is completely decentralized with control of the future of the Array going to the Array Citizens through  decentralized consensus

That sounds Amazing. Seen your YouTube Videos on The Array. Very awesome you already have a working beta. So many projects are launching on promises. Nice to see your actually bringing a working product to the table at launch and not promises.

Thank you. We really wanted to start this project off in the right direction. We have a viable Beta and currently building community and "The Guild" . We will be bringing the CORE online as soon as we have enough people to ensure decentralized distribution of the CORE network . After that is established we will be on-boarding beta-testers. We don't believe in long drawn out development. We are ready for rapid development and making great leaps and bounds in the shortest amount of time.

I suggest u to take ur announcement off the grid and pray nobody has seen it because the bullshit lying within is too strong for a normal human brain to process. Take the announcement and wipe a poop-seeding hole between ur rear cheeks with it. Hobo with a shotgun on the hood could make it better. Five years ago I met a guy like u in the coffee shop in Northern Vietnam, he tried to peddle to me 60 burner phones for 1 buck and was not too far from stuffing my reluctance but then my disbelief took over and I took him for a ride on my cock. His problem was he was frenetic with trying too much but ended up achieving nothing. U are that guy.
The best comment I have seen on BTT so far. LMAO

So nothing about a limitless universe "The Array" is better than some ramblings ? I am assuming this is the most entertaining ? Grin
