NEW WALLET IN PROGRESS...

image loading...

I was contacted by the supposed "Project Owner" of YEP COIN to assist in fixing some issue with their blockchain. The below images are screenshots from the conversation.

After reviewing the source code, and seeing this person's lack of understanding for basic filesystem operations, as well as a general lack of understanding in the repository's recent commits, I declined to offer any help. Further, I suggested that he/she "come clean" and cancel the upcoming "pre-sale" (ICO) for coins in a project that, in my professional opinion, is dead in the water and unable to deliver on any promises made initially on the project's BitcoinTalk ANN thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5098691.80).

After such suggestion, this person became increasingly hostile, to which I, admittedly, responded in-kind. Let this serve as a notice to all potential investors, regulatory agencies, and law enforcement personnel that I declined any kind of business relationship with Logan (YEP COIN), have made this information available to the public in good faith that they will disseminate and/or ingest it as they so choose, and that any investor actions past, present, and future are not my responsibility.

Hi how are you doing?
I'm the Project owner of YEP COIN
And I want to know if you can help me about my current blockchain?
I have a presale begin the 16 April and I don't have new from my dev Repo
FuzzbawlsToday at 12:15 AM
no thanks
Logan - YEP COINToday at 12:15 AM
Ok thanks
Do you know who can do that?
FuzzbawlsToday at 12:18 AM
honestly...you probably shouldn't be trying to create a new coin/blockhain project if you don't know what you're doing.
Logan - YEP COINToday at 12:20 AM
Man the old blockchain is on vultr and now need to move to Contabo
Is move from old Vps to another vps
The source code existe on Github

Logan - YEP COINToday at 12:25 AM
Yep
FuzzbawlsToday at 12:29 AM
ok, i'll say it again: you shouldn't be trying to create or run a coin/blockchain based project if you don't know what you're doing. looking at that repo, it is painfully clear that someone just did a basic search/replace and some haphazard changes to things that should have simply been removed.
Logan - YEP COINToday at 12:31 AM
The problem is repo don't respond
And I don't know what's happen
If have the Covid19 or whatever

FuzzbawlsToday at 12:32 AM
come clean and cancel/refund the participants in your pre-sale
Logan - YEP COINToday at 12:32 AM
The presale not started
FuzzbawlsToday at 12:33 AM
then cancel it
Logan - YEP COINToday at 12:33 AM
Ok
the last time I talked to him was April 2
FuzzbawlsToday at 12:35 AM
you are not qualified to undertake such a thing as a crypto/blockchain lead, and it looks like you have no development support either. if you paid this person for the initial source code...he likely ripped you off as he did a shit job
Logan - YEP COINToday at 12:36 AM
Really..
It's bad news
Can you solved this?
Finexbox waiting for the integration
I have a store in Progress
How many for solved this please
FuzzbawlsToday at 12:40 AM
no, just bit the bullet and admit that it isn't going to work out. this is what happens when you try to do something that you are in no way qualified to do
Logan - YEP COINToday at 12:41 AM
do you think i invested money and time to give up?
who did you think i was
I will never give up and it is not you who will make me change my mind
FuzzbawlsToday at 12:42 AM
yeah, give up...that would be the moral thing to do, otherwise you're just scamming people out of their money on empty promises that will never happen
Logan - YEP COINToday at 12:42 AM
Thanks for your help
firstly no one invested money on my project so i didn't pay anything back
secondly this project is not a scam since a business exists and licenses are in progress
a license costs 3k
Do you have licenses?
Nothing
you are afraid of my project and it comforts me
Have a good day
FuzzbawlsToday at 12:48 AM
afraid of a project with an 8+ month out-of-date source code, a "lead" who has no clue how to do simple data migration (let alone any actual development of the product), and an ANN thread that has blatant overestimations on what the coin can deliver?

bitch please

FuzzbawlsToday at 3:19 AM
just so I understand you correctly, you intend to go through with your ICO despite knowingly having a broken product, and no immediate means to fix it?
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:20 AM
I don't want speak with you
Have a good day
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:20 AM
but you're still doing your ICO, right?
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:21 AM
Have a good day
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:21 AM
yes or no?
simple question
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:22 AM
Don't worry I have a solution so have a nice day
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:22 AM
yes...or...no?
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:22 AM
every problem has its solution
And no is not ICO
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:23 AM
i'll make it easier on you...I will take your non-answer as an acknowledgement of intention to go forward with your ICO/coin sale/pre-sale/whatever you want to call it
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:23 AM

I asked nothing
Everything is pay by me
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:24 AM
still haven't answered the question
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:24 AM

FuzzbawlsToday at 3:24 AM
yes, or, no
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:25 AM
Open your eye

FuzzbawlsToday at 3:26 AM
so you DON'T intend to go forward with your pre-sale on the 16th that you previously stated you wouldn't give up on?
in other words...you ARE canceling your pre-sale?
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:27 AM
No I report the presale to another word
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:28 AM
oh...so you're going through with your presale then...
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:28 AM
Bud are you listening
I don't want talking with you
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:29 AM
a presale for coins that have a non-functional back-end network, a client source code that is sorely out of date, and that cannot deliver on promises made?
i'm just trying to be thorough here...don't want to leave anything to speculation
if you want to end the conversation, you can simply respond with "yes"
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:31 AM
Good luck
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:32 AM
so, you don't want to admit to your failures and do the moral thing of canceling your coinsale?
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:32 AM
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:32 AM
i'll take that as a "no"
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:32 AM
Failure what?
I already have a solution
You don't understand
I don't need you
You can sleep well
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:33 AM

Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:33 AM
Be careful
And take care
Have a nice day
And thanks you
Bye
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:34 AM
let me guess...another fly-by-night "developer" that can't code worth shit is going to rip you off even more...which you will undoubtedly pass on that "cost" to your investors
Logan - YEP COINToday at 3:35 AM
in a very short time a lot can happen so yes I have a solution
All problem have solution and I never give up
FuzzbawlsToday at 3:36 AM

Set my masternode up last night, had two payments so far, roughly 8 hours apart of 83.3333333 DNET each. Pretty happy with that so far!
Oh, looks like the difficulty has risen and store at high.
Hence, it has become hard to find blocks, even with masternodes.
Anyway, congrats for your first two blocks found.

you quoted a post from over 2 years ago...why?

Also...MASTERNODES DO NOT CREATE BLOCKS! never have, never will.

Not a 51% attack. The required checks to ensure such transactions aren't possible were disabled from the initial launch.

Sorry for stupid question - should I leave PIVX desktop wallet active for staking PIVX? Or I just can close it without losing staking process.

wallet must be running and online for staking.

- Algorithm: XMR = PoW (CryptoNight); DASH = half PoS and half PoW (x11); PIVX and XSPEC = full-time PoS. (*see note below re: PoS)

DASH isn't half PoS and half PoW, it is only PoW. Masternodes and their collateral/reward doesn't equal PoS.

There's a bug on PIVx Wallet when running in Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS, not critical but cosmetic and function bug.

When the icon is right clicked in the task bar, the menu is completely blank. If the wallet is closed, then one cannot retrieve the normal window wallet again because the taskbar icon is missing a menu.

unfortunately, this is one of the issues with Unity desktop and Ubuntu, and it is seemingly specific to just that combination (it is an issue with the Qt5 library supplied by Ubuntu and how Unity handles tray menus).

btw, this kind of issue report really should be made on github in the future. Don't rely on these forums to have your issue seen by someone on the dev team.

Seems like PIVX has been bouncing around $1-$2.50 for about a year now. When are we gonna see a $5 pivx?

I wish we lived in your timeline!

Aug 18, 2016: PIVX (then called DarkNet) was ~0.004 USD per PIV.

When is Zerocoin being integrated? and whens the next update?
It annoys me now that I don't know the date of zerocoin integration. But maybe it is better not to know it. This will avoid a pump before integration and a dump at integration.
Did they not integrate it in the 2.3.0 version, which got released recently? What were the main features of 2.3.0 version?

The list of masternodes is not in the masternodes tab anymore, is that normal ? I'm only staking but I saw the list with the previous version.

from the release notes:
Quote
All Masternodes List GUI Removal

With the standardization and reformatting of the masternode list (masternodelist) RPC command, there is no real use case to keep the full list of masternodes in the GUI. This GUI element causes a great deal of extra overhead, even when it is not being actively displayed. The removal of this list has also proven to resolve a number of linux-based errors

Note that the GUI list of masternodes associated with a controller wallet remains intact.

I believe the developer or one of the developers of mintcoin is/was one of the guys with PIVX. With PIVX finished with the implementation of the zercoin protocol, i believe its time mintcoin developers comes back and work on the development of mintcoin.
is it true?

yes, I've been hired as a part of the PIVX development team. My time with MINT has not come to an end, however it is still (as it has always been) a voluntary contribution if and when I have free time. That being said, work does continue on MINT, albeit slowly as free time is almost non-existent right now.

watching closely. hoping the premine won't be absurd or exist at all.
What's the total premined of this coin?

You can look at the BE to try and trace any premine. I will say, however, that a premine way back in Feb 2014 by a dev that has long since abandoned the coin is of little consequence today.

Latest wallet 2.2.1 has bad memory leak, currently uses over 5gb growing.

dunno how you've come to this conclusion, but would need some substantial evidence to support the claim as none of my instances across multiple platforms are anywhere near that after weeks of running. File an issue on github and give some details.
