No, there was a meeting just the other day with some Investors interested in possibly funding the Guccione Reality Show and Online Magazine. Not that the coin matters in that case because both are separate from each other. There really has not been a developer for this coin ever. It was hoped that people would step up and run the coin. Regardless because Nick Guccione is a somebody it is of my opinion that this coin will not just fade away. Not sure here what it is your looking for, however I suggest you contact Nick Guccione and either get off your chest whatever it is or just find out what his plans are here regarding this coin. His email is in the OP. You will get much better results talking to Nick, nobody believes that a coin named after one of the most successful and richest media mogul in the world is going to just bite the dust. Personally I think and have suggested for a long time to just lock this [ANN]Thread up until enough people come together to create a new one and rollup their sleeves and start running this show as an experimental active open source beta crypto project just like the disclaimer in the OP says it is.

This to me, feels like a long term project. The price simply reflects the current state of the altcoin market along with the risk of holding gcc for the foreseeable future. There are, in my opinion, a few other reasons for the current price point, yet I don't see why that would detract from the longevity of the project or it's success.

I agree. We should call and talk to Nick Guccione together on a 3 way, then report back here what he thinks. I believe that there is potential for a positive response from his end. If that would work with you or if you want to call him yourself I believe you have his number. Let me know.
I talked to him last week about the proposed changes, but he seems to be quite busy lately.
We can call him together though, I have no problem with that.
Lets do that. I m glad you have been in contact with him. If Nick is really busy then maybe things are getting ready to jump off on his end. Once he gets back in pocket I believe we could see him more engaged on this end in a positive way.

First we need to hard fork the coin.
If there are no working seed nodes, they will need to be added.
The hard fork is necessary because as it stands now, gcc will surpass 39M coins as it enters it's second year of mining.
I personally believe that we need to make gcc a pow/pos hybrid for this coin to be secure from network attacks.
I'm not entirely sure how this coin was supposed to have a 6.9M, when all it takes is a two second glance at the main.cpp to tell that this coins supply will far surpass that amount.
As it stands, we will generate 50M coins by this time next year.
If anyone is willing to help me fix this coin, please don't hesitate to send me a message.

I told long time ago this coin needs a hard fork and either go fully pos or pow with supply cut.. But i am not a programmer so i cant help coding, let us know how else we can help?

You have great ideas. I hope those ideas can become action and can turn this around from the clusterfuck that its been. Regardless of whatever I still find it mind boggling that a GuccioneCoin could not of been supported more than it was. My guess is that most people really did not think Nick Guccione was really involved with this coin others probably never heard of Nick. Most the rest knew it was really Nick and knew who he was but expected him to sink a fortune into this project. Nick would of put real money into this coin if it would of showed that people were willing to do the same but its market was embarrassingly weak and never pulled up. Thats not Nick Guccione or the people that he had as the development team, or the few in the Community that are still here's fault. The development team made enough errors but the coin was made available and nobody really jumped on it. This thread should be moved to a new one and leave all this behind and let people see a fresh start and a community based development team instead of just 2-3 friends of Nick Guccione's trying to walk through this minefield. It will be a long time before you ever see a big named coin like this again if ever. I think you should go for it and let Nick know that the coin will make it.

You guys should consider synching some permanent nodes for GCC on some servers and make them publicly visible. The AWS servers that housed some of the first coded nodes worked great. I am not sure how much Scotty (GCC Team) was paying but I do't think it was a lot, but obviously it was to much for him to have to pay based on the coins low performance in the markets.
BTW- GCC should be available at PayServices.com https://www.payservices.com/currency.php?type=crypto for converting GuccioneCoin into hundreds of different Fiat, Complimentary, and CryptoCurrencies any day now. I believe I heard that anyone over 18+ can sign up for their free accounts now. Once upon a time Nick Guccione had a tentative agreement with PayServices to be used as the primary payment gateway for his online magazine which he planned on accepting GCC infer the purchase of digital content like streaming movies, etc.
Someone should contact Nick Guccione ceo[at]pureguccione[dot]com and see how things are going in that area regardless of the fact this coin and his business ventures are completely separate from each other. I have not spoke with him in well over a month but when I did he was working on investors for the online magazine, plus working on a new film and editing a reality show he plans on launching. You would think once all those projects are completed and in full swing that GCC would finally take off. In my opinion I would think it could go either way.
You guys really should consider building a development team for GCC. I would hate to see this great coin fizzle out before it ever had a real chance. If that happens a bunch of us will be pretty sad. However the good news is Bitcoin these days, now thats a that refuses to fizzle out and cares not what anyone thinks about its image.

I have had to pull back from volunteering here and elsewhere in Crypto for health reasons. Due to strict regulatory issues involving CryptoCurrencies I would not count on seeing me coming back anytime soon. As far as I know Nick Guccione is still working on getting his legacy media projects along with his reality show together however not sure on the statuses of either but those projects are not relative here. Nick did say that he would accept this coin for paid digital content once he has the venue to make that possible like his online magazine he has been working on for about 3 years now which is how long a few of us that were part of the original team have known him. We all volunteered together at a 501c3 around 3 years ago and Nick Guccione became a very close friend to about a half dozen of us that all were part of the original GuccioneCoin Team. The person paying for the AWS Servers hosting the nodes could no longer afford to pay for them out of his own pocket so he had no choice but to let them expire. If the GCC Community wants to keep this coin going as a community run project you guys need to figure something out regarding the nodes issue plus decide who is going to be the point person to keep Nick informed regarding the coins progress. Regardless of the status of this coin being an open source community run project it is still incumbent of all of you guys to seek legal advice before any continued involvement in this coin or CryptoCurrencies in General. There are 4 people that have access to this account. They have all moved on. It might be a good idea to open a new [ANN]Thread for this coin. Nick Guccione wanted to keep this thread open last time I spoke to him but I think it should be closed and locked so that the new [ANN]Thread is more organized and community driven instead of waiting for a dev team that have disbanded and can no longer help as volunteers here no matter how much they believe in the awesome potential of this coin.

My apologies as I have had some health issues that have prevented much involvement of my end in Crypto. There are 3 of use that post from this account here, obviously the others have not found it important to respond.
I have not spoke with Nick for over a week and have not received any advice in this regard for a long time. I am not sure what he is up to I am in the same boat as everyone else which we are hoping that he actually finds a way to build his online magazine so that these will be accepted there. He did tell me and others that he would honor that in regards to purchasing digital media as paid content which is no skin of any operators back since its digital.
This is an open source project run by its community so everyone involved has the ability to make this coin the best they want it to be. Nick never said he would put any money into it however he did say he wanted to if only if it was ever to take off and prove its of value. It looks like the market has stabilized at a very low number of satoshi. Maybe thats a good thing and the beginning. There are also a lot of people that want to see it fail.
Regardless, my involvement from the beginning has just been as a friend of Nick's and a volunteer researcher and participant just like everyone else.I strongly supplest that the community together contact Nicholas Guccione ceo[at]pureguccione[dot]com and see what he wants to do and at the same time consider everyone coming together to actively run this coin. Counting on Nick to run this by himself is a longshot.
I think this coin could be great some day as long as it has a development team to run it and a community that puts GCC first over all other coins. Otherwise with nobody in charge ad a developer that refuses to put money into it until it proves itself will most likely produce the same results as we always see with other coins.

Someone (18+) needs to contact him and be the point person to help him get fresh material up when he has it. That person can also encourage him to get more involved with the coin. I am not sure what exact news your expecting. However if its good news then we share the same desire. I know Nick Guccione has a lot going on. I also know that the pilot for the eventual reality show seems to be his priority. General funding for both the pilot and the online digital magazine seem to be his current direction. All we can do is support him so he can reach those goals.
My recommendations you contact Nick and find out what going on and come back and share what his response is. I have spoke very little with him lately. I know that this coin could use a boost. The Network miners seem to have moved on and the price is low regardless of the embarrassing error on the part of the coders who built this not setting the cap at 6.9 million GCC like was requested but instead setting to have it halving every year until it hits one coin at 39.76 million. That was a major let down but I believe Nick is still in this for the long run.

Regarding the Block issue. Apparently the coder/developer in regards to the coin halving every year either superseded the coin cap which was supposed to be 6.9 Million GCC then single coin blocks indefinitely but appears to be working at 69 coins per block halving every year. So the actual coin cap is something like <1252 blocks per day 69 X 352 = 30408572 (half) x2 = 60817152 + pre-mine 3.49 Million>
We are looking into this and talking with people skilled in hard forks since the coder that built GCC is not well versed in forking a blockchain.
Plus with the dismal look of the GCC market on Yobit, its not worth forking it at say 7.9 million GCC if they are barely trading at such a low value, we need to take a look at what was done wrong here and work on improvements.. This coin could most likely stay at the 64+ Million GCC Coin Cap. We will see. Feedback would be great. Any and all Feedback will be evaluated and considered.

You would need proof of this but regardless, you need to take this up with IGotSpots operator of GorillaEx. When the exchange first got taken down we went against policy and refunded 2 long time community members however we can't do this in this circumstance or ever again. This is covered in the disclaimer.

We agreed there would be synergy between our two coins. GCC would target high-end erotica and gentlemen's lifestyle products while TIT would target low-brow pornography and adult services. This is a $15 Billion Dollar industry so we feel there's more than enough wealth to go around.
We're looking forward to the ongoing relationship with Mr. Guccione and a few of the plans he has personally told us about... namely the launch of several new high-end gentlemen's magazines and a reality show at the end of the year. On our end, we're planning to help market GCC to the public which we have successfully accomplished with TIT (namely our coverage in Playboy Magazine, Cosmo Magazine and Men's Health Magazine).
Naturally it does take some time to really get the ball rolling. Hopefully we'll see the fruits of our labor towards the end of the year. In the meantime, keep up the good work guys.

GuccioneCoin (GCC) is on the Cryptsy Vote List. Lets not leave it at the bottom if possible. Things will take off we hope before we get to the top, however Cryptsy has the option to add GCC anytime regardless of vote.
