hi you are right - there is no roadmap on the website at the moment, but the plan to bring the Globcoin Platform to fruition, and all other parts of the project  to be built out, is ongoing by all the dedicated team at Globcoin, and all updates are posted – the blog is the best place to follow those.

Re: Do you think that STABLECOINS are needed in the future of crypto payments?

Comprehensive overview of STABLECOINS — PART 2
FIAT COLLATERALIZED STABLECOINS
**Fiat collateral for creating a token represents reserves held by a central entity.**
How it works: The mechanics for implementation are fairly straight-forward. A third party takes deposits in US Dollars (or another desirable fiat currency) and issues a unit of stablecoin for every dollar deposited. To cash out a unit of stablecoin, the third party wires US Dollar to the holder and burns a unit of the stablecoin.
Pros:
* Easy to conceptualize
* Value will match USD with certainty if properly implemented (digitized dollars without capital controls)
Cons:
* Must trust third-party to hold fiat collateral
* Need additional third-party for audit to make sure appropriate collateral is being held and units of stablecoin match deposits
* Expensive and slow to audit
Projects with this structure:
1.Tether,
2.TrueUSD,
3.DigixDAO,
4.Globcoin,
5.AAA reserve,
6.Stably,
7.X8 currency

It's the best known stablecoin. That doesn't make it the best. But definitely the first mover in the space, and I think all other stablecoins aim to improve on what they have built; or offer a valid alternative. Globcoin GLX is one to look at. Hope that helps.

Hi. I realize that glx has not given yet and glx basket repsents - this is obvious from your wp. There is no word in your WP about the GLX acquisition so I ask you about the machanics of the acquisition. How can I get back GLX (in furute, since GLX has not been released yet)?

Hi Leo, I believe you asked the same thing on Telegram and we replied there?

Anyway, thanks for being so interested.

We are currently talking to several exchanges to get GLX listed once the legal and regulatory setup is ready . This will be the first gateway to purchase / redeem GLX . The other gateway is our platform.

On our GLOBCOIN platform, you will redeem the GLX (the coin mirroring the performance of the 15 currencies basket + Gold) against one of the single fiat currencies offered.

As you have seen in the Whitepaper, you need a certain quantity of GCP tokens to trade GLX on the Globcoin platform (acquisition and redemption).

Hope this helps!

GLX is definitely on the way -  stay tuned

Can't argue with 8k ppl turning up for very expensive tickets for one event. There's a good number of institutionals at Consensus. If they add money to the crypto system, why not?

Re: Poverty and its effects to the world

Here, at the forum, was the opinion that cryptocurrency is one of the tools to combat poverty. But to do this, you need to change your thinking, get the appropriate knowledge and act. And who will tell poor people about cryptocurrencies? So I think that cryptocurrencies can not help in the fight against poverty.

I am sincerely hoping it will.
Changing money sysstems to digital; giving people a digital identity; allowing access to services only reserved for those with a bank account....it's not just absolute 3rd world poverty, it's also helping those in each developed country living below the breadline (acceptable minimum living conditions) and those struggling just above it
We can do this, I honestly and fervently hope.

I think it will take a long time and if depends what you mean by 'stable'
If you want tiny gains or losses every year, that's not (hopefully) the aim
Big swings bring the big gains - and the big losses
Maybe stablecoins is the answer - have a little stability in your portfolio by having a few stablecoins (one you like and trust)

I think to start go for something you know / you've read enough about / you can trade easily - so probably one of the 5 most common coins. Invest 20%. Keep the other 80%. Add when you feel comfortable.
