Re: What is best wallet for long term bitcoin holding?
by
GMAIL RM008
on 18/07/2018, 14:27:24 UTC
As far as I know the best software wallet for BTC holding is coinbase wallet.

"IN BRIEF
Founded in June of 2012, Coinbase is a digital currency wallet and platform where merchants and consumers can transact with new digital currencies like bitcoin, ethereum, and litecoin. We're based in San Francisco, California.

Bitcoin is the world's most widely used alternative currency with a total market cap of over $100 billion. The bitcoin network is made up of thousands of computers run by individuals all over the world."

Re: How to decide a project scam or not?
by
GMAIL RM008
on 05/07/2018, 13:07:33 UTC
Hey bros,

80% of ICO projects are scam. With your personal experience, let's discuss the tips to reveal a scam ICO project.

Anonymous team or team with weak experience is one of them.

As expert said "Understanding who is on the team behind a blockchain project is perhaps the most important step in your due diligence. Even if the premise of the venture and the addressable market seem attractive, one of the biggest determinants of a venture’s success is the makeup of the team behind it".

It is often a red flag if the team behind an ICO does not have any named full-time developers. Additional caution should be taken if none of the leadership team has any domain knowledge in the specific vertical.

When looking at a team and verifying their experience, platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn are useful. However, it’s important to note that they are not infallible, as profiles can be faked. If members of the team claim prior association with universities or companies, double-checking with reputable third-party sources (e.g. a university newspaper or the company website) can provide the facts.

ICOs often list their advisors on their websites. You should also verify whether the advisors are legitimate.

Re: Discussion about Bitcoin with merit awards - block mining
by
GMAIL RM008
on 29/06/2018, 15:50:35 UTC
As we know, "Bitcoin mining is the process by which transactions are verified and added to the public ledger, known as the block-chain"
and "the Transaction data is permanently recorded in files called blocks. They can be thought of as the individual pages of a city recorder's record book (where changes to title to real estate are recorded) or a stock transaction ledger. Blocks are organized into a linear sequence over time (also known as the block chain)".

Smartphone Wallet is Insecure
by
GMAIL RM008
on 24/06/2018, 15:03:48 UTC
⭐ Merited by asha18 (1)
smartphone wallet is fully dangerous,  I mean insecure. it is not danger that much for that app, but it is for the keyboard we use or any other 3rd party app.

explanation:   There have been over 10,000,00,00+ downloads of emoji keyboards, (actually: keyloggers, spyware disguised as friendly emoticon keyboards.)
So when you want to enter your wallet, you need to type full info and password of your account, in the main time keylogger is  sending these onfo to victim's server. so you got hacked easily.

also we install many 3rd party app like : QR code or bar code scanner these get permission to read our contact, read to call log or making call even audio recording sometime.

Remember, on android any app can spy on you.
For example: our favorite flashlight app (third party) spying on you while you take a picture of a QR code to scan a bitcoin address, etc.
So I think Android is more risky than iPhone. So be careful.

Some tips to protect your wallet on smartphone :

1: make  sure to Delete all the apps you don't use.
2: When using your wallet, make sure NO background apps running.
3: Don't use any risky third party apps- (make sure your app ONLY USE the PERMISSIONS they need to operate.nothing else)
4: keep locked your smartphone when you are not using it.-
5: don't run/use 3rd party keyboards.

I found this for you from support binance.

How to handle stolen funds transferred to Binance?

The victim must go through KYC verification on Binance.com.

The victim must submit a support request on support.binance.com, providing the following details:

Detailed description of how the hack happened
Detailed (clickable) blockchain links of all transactions involved
A signed NDA or a statement agreeing to obey non-disclosure standards from Binance
If Binance thinks there is reasonable evidence that the funds are stolen, Binance may lock the funds temporarily.

The victim must provide a police report within 24 hours of filing the support request.  From there, Binance will work directly with law enforcement to handle processing of the funds.

Re: Which BTC wallet to use?
by
GMAIL RM008
on 21/06/2018, 10:09:18 UTC
Greetings,
Do you guys know what is the best wallet for bitcoin? I've never had a crypto-wallet yet. I have a bank account, though. In banks, cash remittance is unlimited and pretty fast, but service fee is pretty high. Is there a wallet with fast cash remittance and minimum service fee for remittance?

I will suggest you to use coinbase. Because Coinbase is one of the easiest ways to buy, sell and hold cryptocurrencies, which earns it the first spot on this list.
With Coinbase, you can connect to a U.S. bank account and easily transfer dollars in or out of your dollar wallet. You can use those dollars, or transfer in new ones, to buy and sell.
In addition to Bitcoin, Coinbase currently supports Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Litecoin.

(There are constant rumors of additional currencies like Ripple getting support from Coinbase as well.)

While the big upside of Coinbase is ease of use, that is offset with some worries about security.

(Mt. Gox was at one point the dominant platform for Bitcoin and other currencies. That is until it was hacked and lost nearly half a billion dollars in user currency. But Coinbase did learn from Mt. Gox’s loss, and has very firm security in place and regularly updates and improves the entire user experience.)

Re: How long I can have sMerits?
by

I've searched here in Bitcointalk before posting my question. I've found a similar thread but there were no certain time frame for how long I am able to send my sMerits. Please someone inform me. Thanks.

time did not set yet, but they said you could lost your sMerit by not sending anyone. because they can vanish your merit if they want. so if you got any good suggestion or quality post   you should send your sMerit. because having the sMerit doesn't mean anything to you.
