Re: What Zuckerberg & Libra Have to do With The Crypto Market? How Low Will BTC Goes

A lot of people are relating it because Libra is also expected to be a part of the crypto and blockchain scenario (Which is highly unlikely in reality). But none of them know-how different and unlinked they are.

I am certain about ETH, XRP, and NEO, other than that I dont think I would trust any.

Because bitcoin is actually better and safer than Libra
I think the real difference comes in with Permissions. Libra is going to be a permissioned blockchain that is centralized where its consensus mechanism, software, and governance are controlled by Libra Association members who are the only ones permitted to validate transactions, on the other hand, Bitcoin is permissionless.

Over the past months, Bitcoin has been rising in market dominance at a fast pace. Altcoins have been on a constant decline in price ever since the bear market began back in 2018. They've been the ones which suffered the most, while Bitcoin has obtained greater prominence within the crypto market.

Bitcoin has been the dominant force in Crypto world. It not a surprise that it has obtained greater prominence within.

I haven't been trading my bitcoins and cryptos since this year begins, but I have noticed that the hype train is slowing down since then, compared to last year. I want some honest opinion about the future outlook of BTC or crypto per se. Should investors invest in it ?

Bitcoin yes. Some alts that you can look at are Ripple and Ethereum.
Ripple had great partnerships this month, one with SWIFT and the other one with Samsung.

Only if you mean trading on a stock exchange.  Genuine cryptocurrency transactions are peer-to-peer and don't rely on the SEC or other government bodies for approval.  As such, trading cryptocurrency is unstoppable.
But for Crypto's to be accepted as a credible asset, It needs the stock exchange.

Also, In the article, it's mentioned

Is this normal?

Imagine 3 whales with 1000 btc each decide to sell bitcoin and by chance they do so at the same time. Of course the price will tank and people will wonder why, bots will follow and so on.
Just like any other market, Crypto is also driven by supply and demand. All of a sudden, the supply increased. Hence, the price fall.

Just try searching Binance on Etherscan and you will be surprised to see the results. The biggest portfolio are usually hold by exchanges. There are over 1000 coins worth more than $200M on Binance's ETH address.
Just checked it out, thanks for letting me know the website.
Tbh, I won't be surprised by an institution like Binance to have gazillion coins, but this is a random bloke I was talking about who started really early and is reaping the benefits now.

Wow, I'm impressed by that guy. Did he told you how he has managed to acquire that huge wealth? before it might not that be as big as he thinks but now the value is enormous. Does this means that until today, he is holding this number on his portfolio? I'm sure that he's still continuing investing to different altcoins that he might find interesting and is buying huge quantity again waiting for the right time to harvest it. These investors that has this huge portfolio chooses to remain lowkey.
He started really really early. 14-15 maybe. Yes, he is still holding this and he has a good number of bitcoins as well.
I think that he will still be investing in altcoins considering the fact that his portfolio is big and the type of guy he is, he would surely be.
He is not very vocal about it though, we were taking for a while so he showed his portfolio.
