Ladies and gentlemen,

We all know very well what a breakthrough Bitcoin was. It supercharged our consciousness and perception on possibilities made available by decentralized computer systems. It showed us that a single number maintained in a decentralized computer storage, guarded by a decentralized consensus - actually can become worth thousands of US dollars. It caught us by surprise.

Indeed, for many of us it just opened our eyes wider to what we already knew very well - that money is just a virtual abstract concept, whose limited supply is guarded by some authorities above us.

Now everything has changed.

It turned our authorities are no longer needed to maintain trust around virtual assets, and for these assets to exhibit qualities similar to those of well-established assets such as gold.

Inspired by these findings and after throughout, meticulous analysis of a multitude of Bitcoin-like systems, years of research and implementation - we have managed to create something new - a 100% decentralized Operating System - GRIDNET OS. While still under development, the system is already running on a decentralized Virtual Machine of its own; it comes with a programming language of its own (#GridScript) and will be soon accessible from anywhere using its decentralized command-line interface.

Below you can see the system #Live in action - watch a  Decentralized Hello-World application being written, deployed and then executed right in the  GRIDNET’s Decentralized Terminal Interface (DTI). It all takes less than 2 minutes, with some additional commands and directories created in the meantime.

Most importantly it never is or was the matter of encryption/security or SSL/TLS protocol.
You can check this by visiting http://gridnet.org (without the httpS prefix).
The server is configured to redirect you to the encrypted website if you chose to use pure HTTP protocol.

Now. There might be a 'WWW' A record DNS record missing from the DNS server (we've switched the provider in recent days, we'll look into this ASAP)

UPDATE: the issue had to do with the 'WWW' prefix being not recognized by the server.

@Czynatagmz The issue had been taken care of and is now resolved; please do expect a satisfactory bonus for letting us know.

•   Question: The Test-Network was supposed to go live on the 1st of March why do you keep postponing the release?

Answer: GRIDNET is a system which is being developed entirely from scratch. The project is probably the most ambitious blockchain project ever conceived. During implementation and testing, we have decided to take some drastic measures and introduced majors changes to the overall direction of the project.

Particularly, we have decided to move away, entirely, -  from the UTXO model of transactions.

We have decided to go with an account based model all the way, instead. The aim is to farther underline the capabilities of GRIDNET platform as a global computational machine.

We have been experimenting with many database engines including MySQL, LevelDB, HyperLevelDB , among others. Our final choice is RocksDB.

These design decisions all have added up to our decision of postponing the deployment of a public Test-Network.

Introducing major changes to a large public network would be problematic and miss the point of public tests which are supposed to reflect most closely the final product and environment.

While still doing major development maneuvers there’s no point in public tests.

Question:  So, when will the Test-Network go LIVE?
