"-etha 2" will help you. Within 24 hours I will release an update, this option will be set automatically on Linux+gpupro.

-etha 2  reduce hash rate 0,2Mh on each RX480 card - 1Mh in 5 card rig.

Now is some problem with EU servers on nanopool. Other server work  but did not switch to another on the list (epools.txt)
Can you check it ?

This is something else, but I keep getting this unsupported overdrive version error messages in the log with 3x 480x, they are mining nicely tho, it's just annoying,
what can this be?

Added to OP:

- Temperature/fan management for RX 480 is not supported currently. 480 card uses Overdrive v7, latest ADK SDK (v9) supports Overdrive v6, so currently AMD has no public documents about Overdrive v7 and therefore there is no way to manage temperature/fans/clocks of 480 cards.
Not exactly.
Read https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/linux-graphics-x-org-drivers/open-source-amd-linux/871595-amd-delivers-overdrive-overclocking-support-for-amdgpu-drm-driver
precisely from page 4 for RX series.

AND CRASH!
PLS HELP!!!!!!!!!!
I'm just guessing but your last line in log could be that your using unsupported drivers.
Which driver to use with RX480 !!!??? Anybody use this card??

On Linux only AMDGPU-PRO  ver. 16.30 ubuntu 16.04
Windows 7-10 driver version 16.20.1035.1001-160705a-304296E  known as Crimson-16.7.1

In Windows7 with  mem clock 2250MHz core clock def.(1290)  I have 28MH/s  per RX 480

Mining with Claymore and get full HDD (128GB SSD)  in half hour.
After checking find /var/log/syslog and kern.log  grown up to 52GB each.
System write this 4 messages about 4-5 thousands per second !

I am surprised that a person with such experience in trading leads as long discussion irritating their customers more and more, rather than just give them his money.
The customer satisfaction should not be the first place? If he asking for a refund money I'd sent the money. Zero anger and a chance to be the next satisfied customer.
Sometimes, simple solution are best solution. Maybe generate sometime little lost, but result are worth it.

About reputation.
In my opinion is not good practice to spoil the reputation of the person whom he did not interest. For something different reputation system is designed.

I shudder to write something more, because my reputation will go to hell Smiley

The new bitfury chip will have the same pinout?
Our rev2 55nm chip is in the same 7mm punch-type QFN48 package with identical pinout to the rev1 55nm (summer 2013).

Quote
There will be improvement in Ghash/s?

Yes. Our preliminary tests show 25% increase in hashrate and 25% lower power consumption. We will receive new chips tomorrow and will have samples available to developers.

Do you plan sell bare chips ?

Yes, but this engineering batch will not be sold in big quantities. It's for evaluation purposes.
Please add me for few samples. I think 16 pcs be enough.

The new bitfury chip will have the same pinout?
Our rev2 55nm chip is in the same 7mm punch-type QFN48 package with identical pinout to the rev1 55nm (summer 2013).

There will be improvement in Ghash/s?

Yes. Our preliminary tests show 25% increase in hashrate and 25% lower power consumption. We will receive new chips tomorrow and will have samples available to developers.

I am looking for an alternative to chainminer and its proxy.
Whats software are best for BFSB hardware ?  BFGminer or CGMiner, other alternatives

Do CGMiner has been running stably Bitfury?
Is formed instruction on how to run CGminer on RasperryPi?

If you have BitFury boards, with a V1 or V2 controller, I've updated the driver in my git and it should work with either now.
https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer

I've tested it on BlackArrow hardware.
One V2 controller with 1 board, the other V2 controller with 6 boards: 3onSPI1, 2onSPI2, 1onSPI3.

Both work fine.

I, however, use Arch coz I find it more reliable on the RPi.

Getting cgminer on an RPi

Thx Kano for link to detailed instruction. But its want work with standard Bitfury hardware. I mean M-Board and H-board from Bitfury shops.
If compile with BlackArrow support report "BlackArrowBitFuryGPIO failed to open spidev (2)"
I test it with scope today evening.

BFGMiner works perfectly, I'm not sure if cgminer even has support yet.

You can use set-device to change chip clock speeds:

"set-device" : ["BSB:osc6_bits=55"] sets all chips to speed 55.

"set-device" : ["BSB:osc6_bits=55","BSB2:osc6_bits=54"] sets all chips to speed 55 and all chips in slot 2 to speed 54.

"set-device" : ["BSB:osc6_bits=55","BSB2:osc6_bits=54","BSB2aa:osc6_bits=53"] sets all chips to speed 55, all chips in slot 2 to speed 54 and a certain chip in slot 2 to speed 53.

You can mix these common/slot/chip settings arbitrarily, though it might result in a very long config line.
Thx for tip. Have next question Smiley

1 - BFG have failover function in pool settings ?
2 - What difference in performance between Chainminer and BFG
3 - Confirmed stability on different pool. For example chminer work unstable on Eligius for me.
4 - Where I find  complete instruction  how run BFGminer on RasperryPi ?

how is tytus related to megabigpower in any way? he just runs a mine. unless he bought out dave's company. the btc world shadniess amazes me.

Bitfury chips were developed by intron & cscape for Tytus' mine.  Without Tytus there would be no Bitfury.  Read the first post in this thread.

No no no. Valery (bitfury) designed the chip,
we did the board designs.

intron

Thanks for clarifying!  But what I said is basically true... that without Tytus, Bitfury wouldn't exist, correct?

Yes, think so.

Tytus provide financial for many startup. And so without his help Bitfury chip probably would just as ambitious project. Thats why on chip are logo Tytus company (BioInfoBank).
Valery and Tytus decide on price and who can buy chip, no one else.

BitMine update git.
Now we have  schematics, PCBs etc. All  files need for reference design miner and controller.

Beastlymac,

Depending on costs for USB sticks to be manufactured and timing, I'm down for 1000 to 2000 chips.

We won't have usb cost until we have got a design and prototype tested. For that we are waiting on a response from bit main on sample chips that we can use to test the design.
Bitmine still not post BOM and ref design files. Do you have plan to publicize your design ?
Can I count for sample chip to ?
