I asked them on Slack and it seems the network will be alive before the deadline! So let's wait and hope for the best that they get it all going:D
Too hard to say! Best bet is to find a coin with low value and high potential but it isn't easy like that. X10 could be easier, 1 of the privacy coins is your biggest bet like XSPEC, SUMO, ZOIN
They all got their own differences, i bought a bit of them all but i really like XSPEC with their TOR support and the new updates coming out soon

Thanks for your response. Hopefully the current marketing stance of the developers changes in the future. The ideal project has great tech and promotes it with great marketing activities. If there is only great marketing or only great tech, the project may have problems in the long run.
exactly my thoughts!The project has really great potential but the lack of real marketting makes me wonder if it will create enough awareness so that it will really take off. Wel see!
We will know in 2018, i have high hopes for XSPEC but time will tell how it will go. Based on what i read about it, it's 1 of my favorite coins at the moment:D
My biggest bet is on privacy coins. There are some out there like Verge, SUMO but especially XSPEC. I have bought some of these coins but i think XSPEC will grow a lot in 2018. There are a couple of reasons for it, the price is too low at the moment compared to what it offers.
For example, it has TOR integrated in the client and you can use stealth addresses. Soon version 1.4 will be released and a new website as well, this will give XSPEC a boost. So, it has a bright future ahead of it.

You need to publish at least 60 posts at bitcointalk board. Keep it in mind that only 14 posts would be counted in every two weeks or 14 days. I am new to altcoins and bitcoins, I have not invested in anything yet since i still need to read a lot more and learn a lot more. I did want to ask a question and that's about what will happen on 1 augustus. Of course nobody knows but i am not sure what to do. There are some coins that really look interesting, i am just not sure what the right moment is to buy a coin. For example what if i buy a coin and the value gets much lower before we reach 1 august? There is also a possibility that it won't get lower and the opposite will happen.
What do you guys think about it? Wait till 28-31 july and then decide?
