how to win in crypto:
- make coin with legit looking purpose
- set masternode reward to 90% (alarming by itself)
- premine
- setup 11 masternodes at launch with premine
- make POW rewards super low (0.6 coins/min, 864 coins/day)
- disable gpu mining and pools so nobody can rush a masternode
- collect 90% of all coins generated until someone else can create a masternode (probably more than a week)
- disappear when people start to realize the scam launch setup
- collect the majority of coins generated for foreseeable future
- trick people into supporting the coin based on promised use*
= win all the moneys

* this step is where the plan must fail.  don't support this coin!  If this was a real project, it would have a real launch.   Based on the scam launch, I'm willing to bet that this is a scam project.   

Dev, if you just messed this launch up and your not actually trying to scam, please start over.  there's no way the community will support this.

This is a premature post.  You need to add a lot more details....we don't know what the coin's purpose is...?   Will it be mineable?  When will is be released? 

You need those details before you post an announcement.   Unless you are just trying to get an early date on your post so in the future it looks like you made it public so everyone could start mining today.  When actually, you are just premining the coin by yourselves and hope to cover that up in the future by editing the post.   

This may not be true, but that's the way it looks when you release a unfinished announcement.  If it is true, hopefully my post will make it clear to future readers.

Good for you to post this clarification.  It is smart for you to stand up for your client and counter the FUD.  I just hope enough people will see your explanation, though, because the title of the post has nothing to do with the main point of the post.   I think that making this post an advertisement for your services is a little unwise...I think you should edit this post to just be an advertisement and make a new post that is just to address the FUD about your client.   It doesn't help you or your clients to combine these separate purposes into one post.   Trust me, doing the right thing and standing up for your client is better advertising than a boring ad. 

Thanks for the quick and thoughtful response.  An automated system addresses the admin side of the time/liability burdeon, but not really the holder's side.  Granted, the people that are going to invest in a coin like this are obviously deep into crypto, so maybe this isn't a big deal, but I could see a situation where, when people evaluate this coin for potential investment, the necessity to manage all of these wallets in order to claim their full reward could be a disadvantage.   We all know how hard it can be to manage a bunch of wallets...there's the periodic upgrades to install, the common syncing or chain splitting issues these coins have, etc.  Even if things go perfectly, it will probably take a couple hours to send 20 different coins to a few different exchanges to liquidate them all every couple weeks.  For some people, this may sound enjoyable, but for others I'm sure it sounds dreadful.  And out of 20 coins, how many will the average person be working on accumulating?   I would guess not more than a few for most people.

This definitely sounds like a love it or hate it sort of a feature, which isn't necessarily bad, except that by limiting the potential buying pool, your limiting demand and therefore price.  Obviously the ideal scenario is that each masternode holder could decide which coins they want to accumulate and which they would rather relieve MARCO, but thats more admin burdeon.  Plus, it is actually better for everyone if you as the admin liquidate all of the other coins and buy MARCO with the proceeds because that provides a constant source of demand on the exchanges for MARCO. Granted, many of those masternode holders would probably turn around and sell the MARCO again, but a portion of them would hold (and if they sell, its still additional liquidity/volume).  

That said, I'm not an economist, so I might be missing something here =P

Was a post made here for the chain launch?  You should link it if so...otherwise it doesn't look very good.  I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you just now came up with this masternode idea late?  If I was less generous I would assume that you had the idea all along but kept it hush hush so you could mine without competition.   Either way, though, its a total bummer to announce this after POW phase.  Unfortunately, its a pass for me on that basis alone.  I'm extra disappointed because this is the type of project I would like to really get involved with and help grow.

Well, even if I'm not a holder, I still want this project to do well so I'll give my constructive criticism:  You want 20 different types of masternodes and lets say you will have 50 different masternode owners fairly early...thats 1000 addresses you have to get from people, manage, make sure are sent the proper amount each week, and address the mistakes that are inevitably made by the people sending the coins and the people receiving the coins.  Plus you are basically making each masternoide owner download 20 wallets...god forbid one of those wallets has a virus, as has been known to happen (this keeps me up at night when I'm only responsible for myself, let alone a bunch of holders!).   That is a huge time sink and liability for the admins and the masternode holders.  I just don't think its sustainable.    I seriously recommend rethinking this part of it.   A few different ideas to address this: convert all masternode gains to btc and distribute that, convert all gains to btc and buy back MARCO tokens on the open market, maybe just select 3-5 masternodes instead of 20 until you can automate the system.  Also, I recommend having someone inspect all of the wallets for viruses and then offering them all for download on your website.   So the masternode owners only have to trust you guys, not all 20 devs of the coins they are getting.  Just some ideas.   

I'm super interested in this project and am very curious to see how the future goes.  Its right up my alley to be honest, except that I usually mine my masternodes.  I just really wish I would have caught the pow phase!  =(   I'll hang around in your discord anyways and see if I can help in any way.  I'm happy to chat about some of my above ideas if anyone wants to.  At least if I stay involved, maybe I'll catch the mining phase of the next copy cat that pops up, haha .

Somehow a -0.2 btc "deposit" to my account was made by the admin.   It does not show up on the main page under my balance, so I went ahead and deposited some altcoins like usual.   I traded them for BTC, but the BTC didn't show up in my balance.  I had to actually go to the "wallets" page to see the negative balance.  Then I had to go to the history to see it was a negative balance applied by the admin.  So my BTC is gone and it won't let me withdraw my altcoins because I have a negative balance.

Really bad situation.   I was never notified of the balance deduction so I could dispute it.   Its almost like it was intentionally obscured so that I would deposit something before I realized it.  And I looked through my ledger to see if I somehow relieved extra BTC that they were correcting, but there's nothing like that going on.  There is no reason for the 0.2 btc deduction.   To make it worse, the deduction entry makes it sound like it was done manually by the admin, not by some sort of bug...like a person actually made the decision to deduct btc from my account without letting me know or showing it in my balance (until I read the "fine print").   

I submitted a support ticket 3 days ago and no response yet.  I understand they are busy, but this seems like the type of bug/mistake that an exchange would want to fix really fast.   I gave them 3 days before making this post...

This is great news. I mined enough for a masternode early and i figured it was a total waste, but now I'm more hopeful than I ever was for this coin. 

Thank you to everyone working on saving this coin.   I think the original scammer dev will wish he was still involved when the price moons after the fork. 

This is also a very important step towards developing this coin.   I think its a little too early to do this right now, though.   Those sites need a price to be able to show the daily/monthly/yearly payout, so I would recommend waiting for the exchange and some price discovery before listing it.   If you list it too early, the crazy volatility can help advertise on good days, but huge 50% drops in price will give people a bad idea.  That's why I would wait for trading to settle in on a price before listing on the masternode ROI sites.   Plus that gives us early miners some more time to try to get a masternode up and running before the hash power goes way up. 

Yeah, discord is a much higher priority in my opinion.   Making people wait a little can make a coin more popular (I like to call this the nightclub effect ), but without a discord people can't easily tell if the project is active or not.   This tread doesn't have enough activity to make people comfortable with the project...I almost chose a different coin to mine because of the lack of activity/lack of discord.   

He is talking about addnodes for syncing the blockchain, not masternodes.

To answer your question, most coins allow multiple masternodes per server, but each one needs its own IP address.   I usually just use separate VPSs to avoid the confusion and because they are cheap.  Also, the wallet with the coins on your personal computer can be linked to as many masternodes as you want (assuming you do the separate collateral wallet setup, which is recommended). 

I've been mining this coin...I like the name (that's about all there is to go on at this point, lol).  We really need an update from the dev...too many scam projects these days to go silent for too long, especially at start of coins life.   And what about a discord?  The lack of activity makes me nervous....hash rates have been increasing slowly, a little too slow in my opinion.   

Yeah, this is really disappointing.  There is really no difference between this coin and the coins it parody's, but people won't take this serious as long as the name is what it is.   Now that the joke has clearly run its course, I think it would be worth a re-branding effort.   The ROI is high and it could be a really profitable coin.   Lots of people trying to get into a masternode for under $1,000, but they probably just write this off as a joke coin.   I believe that, with some work, we could get this coin to a level that it competes with the others.   For anyone that buys in at current prices, that would be a really nice profit.   

Dev, what do you think?   It could be a community effort so you don't have to do all the work, but I think you would need to be more involved than you seem to be now.   Did you really just intend for this to be a quick joke and money maker, or a more serious coin?   Please be honest with us.  If you aren't interested in working on this, then there may be another person who is.   Assuming you still own some, it would be in your best interest as well if someone started working on it.   

Seriously, if the name was different this would be easily worth at least a couple dollars a coin.   Seems like an easy path forward....we can just call it VIOG as an inside joke for those of us in the know, but as long as its called "Vivoinnovaonexgobyte" then it won't be taken seriously.   Even if its just as worthy as any of the others. 

Unfortunately, I'm no dev or I would volunteer to work on this.   If there are any other dev's out there that might be interested, please speak up.  I think the first step would be to get a discord. 

same here.   Isn't the collateral wallet used to start the masternode as well as watch it?   When i do a masternode status command on my linux wallet, it says waiting for remote activation.  How can I activate it without access to my windows collateral wallet?

Why stop at 1000% roi?   Someone else will just make the same thing with 10,000% ROI and steal your thunder!  Heck, go for 100,000,000% ROI!  Imagine how good your mnrtank.com stats will look for the first few nodes!  

This is not sustainable.   Sure the ROI will be high to start, and that will drive FOMO buyers.  But the number of masternodes will grow, ROI will drop, and eventually buyers are going to lose interest and prices will drop.  A coin needs more appeal than just masternode ROI to exist for the long haul.   Without the masternode ROI, this is just an extremely inflationary, pointless coin.    This feels dangerously close to a ponzi to me...yeah the first people will probably make some money (and the creators will laugh their way to the bank), but someone is going to be left holding the bags at the end.  

Judging by the response this is getting, I can forsee a bunch more of these coins popping up in the near future, until either people wise up or a government intervenes.  Its just way too easy to make a ton of money selling some forked coin on the basis of masternode ROI.  The creator keeps selling the coin based on ROI and nothing more.   Come on people this is so obvious!   You really want to trust your money with a guy that selected the name dandruff?

Sure I was being sarcastic with the 10,000%+ roi, but only halfway.   I seriously will not be surprised when it happens.   For those of you excited for this project, ask yourself how high the ROI would have to get before you decided it is a scam?   If I make the same coin but with a 100,000,000,000% ROI, will you give me money too?  Just think about how rich you will get with that high an ROI!!!!  You'll be the next donald trump in a couple years!

I really don't like these "pay us for a masternode" coins that are popping up.  Seems like an obvious scam or get rich quick scheme.  Very unlikely that this coin will be supported once all of the coins are sold.  If this was a passion project rather than a money grab, a different distribution method would be used.   I mean, the OP can't even spend the time or ask someone to fix the terrible english in the announcement post...   

The whole coin is basically "Pay us money and then we will make you rich!".   Its not even a little bit subtle. 

When did it start being OK to ICO a currency coin?   I used to think ICOs were only for tokens for businesses.  Now we have some guy in his basement forking a coin selling them in an ICO.   

OP, if you are serious about this project and not just trying to scam, I suggest you rethink your strategy and try again.
