Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning

I wonder how does vitalik feels about all the millions of people who invested their family savings in miners to support his rectal coin and are now hanging on huge loss. This is a disaster! He should be held accountable. While we are all dealing with bankruptcy he is traveling the world spending our money on those symposiums or whatever they call them. Everybody knows that the only reason why people visit such events is for the free drinks and food everybody goes there to take advantage of the all inclusive, nobody does any work there.
It turns out in the end ethereum is just another scam like all of the crypto. Sad.
For the record I asked vitalik directly how does he feel about all the people losing everything they have on https://www.reddit.com/user/vbuterin but my comment was deleted just minutes after I posted it. It turns out not only he is a scammer but he is a nazi too - if you can't handle uncomfortable questions just delete them. I'm really disappointed.

I thought VB is traveling in the world to promote the use of ETH. He cannot control the price.

Good miner, but I have problems to launch it with R9 290. Miner is always crashing. If compare with Claymore this miner has increase of  speed about 1% and less fee. But Claymore, in my opinion is more stable.

did you overclock?

I am getting this very same issue,  same GPU.

I tried all 3 items to no avail.

Anyone else having trouble getting 7950's to be recognized in Claymore?

What is the driver version ? 7950 runs well with 15.12 or 16.9.2.

I think the ZEC miner is already very efficient.

And how Fiji and 17.xx.x drivers, bad support 560? I'm waiting for version 12.7
I guess, because just a very few ppl mine with 560s, because they are not so efficient, so worthless to bother with it.

they are not so efficient as it is not optimized miner
They are not so efficient because they are weak. The bad thing is that 560s are the only available cards atm in stores, but ppl shouldn't really buy them for mining.

Why 7850 is more effective?
I don't think it is more effective, but that is an old card...

7850 - 12.6 - 160sol (1050/1350)
560 - 12.6 - 140sol (1216/1750 timing mod)

560 all parameters should be more effective

The 7850 is an old card, so it is cheaper.

Only use it when your electricity price is low. Otherwise, it might not be profitable.

Memory clocks are same as regular 1070 - and core has no influence on ETH mining. I underclock cores on 1070s to 1000-1200 levels and still get same results (with much lower consumption from the wall). The highest hashrates on ETH are around 32,5 for really good cards (Zotac AMP! - able to sustain +900 (1800eff) on memories), 30-31 on regular cards and 29,5 on unlucky cards (Asus with Micron memories).
So regarding the ETH - I dont see any possibility to get higher hashes on 1070Ti - unless You manage to OC the memories like god.

It seems 1070Ti is not worth it for the ETH. We will wait and see.

Hello, I am interested in buying ETH. When is a good time to pull the buy?

Now might be a good time, considering that the market price is low

That is right. After October of the big update, the price will rise a lot.

Cryptocurrencies appear to be regaining poise following last week's news from China, with the ether-US dollar exchange rate (ETH/USD) rising to a four-day high of $316.73 today.

Such a move might first appear like a rebound. The digital currency fell to a low of $291 on Friday and extended losses to $276 over the weekend on both China's formal ICO ban, as well as its rumored ban on exchange trading.

Despite the recovery, however, there are signs ether is still feeling the heat of the ICO ban.

While ether moved above $300, the bullish move lacks substance as suggested by weak volumes. All in all, the cryptocurrency is having a tough time scoring big gains above $300.

https://www.coindesk.com/ether-nurses-ico-ban-hangover-bulls-struggle-300/

I think there is no need to analyse the daily price change. The ETH price will rise in the long term.

Very soon, the $ 500 ethereum will seem very cheap

I think so. By the end of the year, the price could be $1000 or more if there is more usage.

It needs more developments for the price to be that high.

AMD card for ETH, Nvidia card for ETH.

Sometimes other coin will gain more, but ETH always back to his throne.
I think the new DAG in a couple of hours might take care of that "fact".

yup .... every dag is getting more and more painful even for my 6ghs farm....

... the ice-age timebomb is painful, I dont think I can bear till 1st Nov even with reward halving - either way miners are screwed

my only consolation is we have vaulted all mined ETH since January -- hope it would be worth higher when it reaches POS.

If it reaches full POS, I think the ETH price will drop. I do not see any good POS coin so far.

This is what I thought. Its not a beta AMD driver. This is an modification performed by an individual. One of the links is not opening. The second has a virus alerts. Be aware! Have not you had any issues with that driver? Are you still using it?

One should think twice before installing untrusted software on his money making machine.
Sometimes we see people surprised when their miner mines for elsebody Smiley

I think it is safer to wait another week.

I don't think so that Ethereum is a scam coin after btc I think ETH is the next big coin. The price of ETH coin is going down at this time is because of the segwit situation most of the people are doing the panic selling. I am sure after the market get stable ETH will be back on track and I am also 100% sure on that it will cross its previous All Time High.

I do not think I'm scam.It will be in better places in the future. The prices of all the coins are decreasing

I think the correction is good for the future rise.

Byteball have been down hard... this is probably related to the bitcoin and all cyber currencies are going down. It is just the cycle I guess. Wait for bottom to buy.

That could be right. It is possible it will drop with bitcoin in the next few weeks.

I think ETH is a solid project, i just dont like what they did after the dao hack to bail out their funds and also dumped on the ETC buyers

That is right. Some people say that ETH is a scam, so I sold most of the mined coins. If I keep them, I will be rich.

Ethereum is a 72 million premined ICO coin.  Does everyone get that? That's almost 80% of the supply was premined.  That is almost $19 billion worth of ether that was premined.  Hello? People? Do you even know what you are buying and where your money is going?  It was never supposed to be a store of value.  It has a limitless supply.  Wake up!

The ETH has changed hands many times. So most of the coins are owned by new investors.

Weird issue with 7 470s, they're all detected on windows and msiafterburner, no overclocks yet.
Driver 16.9.2 patched. Psu 1600w, motherboard asrock pro btc 2. Already mined with 7 cards to test before, one of them was a R9 Fury and no issues.

It starts detecting them and says "AMD cards available 7"
https://image.prntscr.com/image/766cfbbbd93244fa96716c4641f3aff6.png

But then it says "total cards: 6"

https://image.prntscr.com/image/6c8f1e9e56c64eab8b7637958b55da87.png

And only six cards are mining.

Anyone knows why and how to fix this?

Have you set the PCIE to generation 1 in the bios?
