The demand is quite high which makes the price always change all the time. I think it's likely that the halving, or reduction in mining rewards, which occurs every four years, could influence new supply entering the market, which could lead to an increase in the asset's price. The more people, institutions, and companies using Bitcoin for transactions, the higher the demand. Wider adoption can increase investor confidence and interest. And the price will certainly move if they (investors) buy it. Of course we can't stop them as you said, they buy bitcoin to protect their energy from inflation and likewise by selling it it is impossible for them not to enjoy the results of their investment that is why the price is very difficult to stagnate.
