Indeed that is very big.
It is actually very complicated to explain, it is very technical. In brief, we don't want to divide the tokens, and to transfer DNA you need a lot of "transactions" for send very small contents. So we need a very big supply.

Why did you choose ERC20?
If it is a medical system block chain,
I think that it is more advantageous to have its own blockchain rather than ERC20.
Actually, we use ERC20 for the short term. You will see it on the roadmap on the website, we are planning to create our own blockchain around Q3 of 2018
