Pablo,
Just to get it clear, 'preferential' doesn't mean free? If so, what price range current users should expect for the upgrade?
Also, if someone decides not to upgrade (concerning it's not free), are you going to continue the work on Butter Bot development or current version is the last one?

Thanks  Smiley

Hi Pablo,
I'm sorry if this was already explained but this thread is already quite huge...
So, because my subscription for Butter Bot finishes quite soon, I was wondering if in case I decide to extend it an upgrade to Butter-X will be included?

Hi Guys,
I have to Qs to the users here and Pablo:

1) As back testing engine was nicely implemented into bbot wouldn't it be possible to use that mechanism and test all the possible EMA pairs and maybe even sell/buy thresholds against the past data and precisely tell which one is the best (at the moment)? Or this is the way you do it Pablo to tell us the best initial parameters? I just saw that EMA returns table created by Gombo's and was thinking is it possible to automated with bbot back testing engine.

2) In many places mentioning about trading BTCs it's mentioned that one should not keep neither bitcoins nor fiat on the exchange account (except the time of executing trade of course Wink. In the light of different hacker attacks and even exchanges disappearances it make sense although while using bots become a little troublesome. I was wondering then about your opinions in the matter; do you think it's safe to keep the money on exchange or it's a worthy precaution to keep it in you (offline?) wallet and transfer only after the  'first threshold' email?

P.S Sorry Pablo for not sending you the logs last time, API came back to normal after couple of hours. I'll try to stay cool(er) the next time ;P

Everyone else having problems with MtGox API at the moment (and last couple of hours)...?
Price info seems to be pulled correctly and graph is updated but yellow warning keeps saying that there is a problem with it. I'm trading in €, if it has any meaning.

Hi Gentle_bend,

I'm also using the MtGox API in combination with €/BTC trading, and I'm not having any issues at all.
Have you tried a refresh of your Chrome Extensions? (CTRL + 'R' in the Extensions menu)

Thanks for that MicroFi but despite reloading/restarting bot and browser I can still see the warning message and no info about my finances on Mt.Gox ...  Cry  On the other hand brief look at the logs doesn't indicate any problems (I'm not a coding person though).

I think I'll move my coins to BTC-e, just in case this rally(?) ends abruptly (will it ever?  Grin)

Hi Guys,
I'm observing Luicon and jbssm arguments and it's hard to disagree. Some of us play with BTC to earn more fiat but ther is a group (believe it or not Wink of people who believe that fiat is long time gone and it's downhill from here (you saw this http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702303763804579183680751473884... however useles it is post factum) so possessing bitcoins may have way more sense in the future.
Btw, should we believe Coinsetter saying that institutional and venture capital to stabilise growth http://blog.coinsetter.com/2013/11/10/bitcoin-price-explosion-isnt-bubble/ and it's not a bubble?

Concerning TSL, would it be possible to have a price displayed at witch your set TSL value will sell and switch of the bot?

Am I the only one having serious problems with Gox...?
Butter should buy long time ago and instead I just sow some strange orders for 10k BTC for the price of €0  Cry
Now I'm trying to trade manually on their webpage but it seems I can't! I can't even cancel these orders...
I stopped bot but maybe I have to deactivate it completely...?

Ok, I deleted API used by Butter from Gox and I was able to delete the orders. EDIT: NOPE, STILL THERE. Nevertheless it's abundance of '502 Bad Gateway' there whatever one one to do.....
After removing that API I also don't see any graphs in Butter now, non of the exchanges load. Is something wrong with my computer/account or is it something bigger?

Hi Guys,

A short question:
Is it possible to trade in EUR (or any other FIAT currency) on BTC-E using BBot? Value is bot is by default in USD but afaik you can deposit many currencies with BTC-E... or is it something with their API?
I could of course buy USD but if I prefer to trady in EUR that is another fee...

Hi Guys! Anyone keen to share their BBot setting for these flaccid times? From a very brief testing with the last week data it look like lengthening the trade frequency period minimises the loss. I understand that it's useless to judge EMA trading efficiency through so short periods but I was wondering if any of you experiment with these... who knows how long this trendlessness may last...

Hi Pablo,
Just wanted to say that I managed to install BBot (the newest version) using 'Developer mode' ('Load unpacked extension'). Works ok, although backtesting takes quite a time (how long does the 1week option takes you guys? I started it 10min ago and it still 'Please wait...' me).
After installing I spotted that the default buy and sell thresholds should be changed, as they're set to buy1:0, buy2:0, sell1:0.25, sell2:0.25. I'm sure that everyone review these setting before starting fun wit your bot though Wink

A small question as well, would it be possible to see other fiat currencies (like EUR) in BTC-E? Or are there any API restrictions?

Concerning arbitrage, as mentioned before it only makes sense with altcoins but would be a very interesting addition. Did you plan to move mentioned inclusion of the other trading strategies to the next main version?

Hi Pablo,
Unfortunately it's like you said...
It looks then that I'm the only one with this issue Sad Maybe reinstalling chrome will do the job. I may try later.

Hi Am I the only one having problems installing the new version  Huh
'Apps, extensions and user scripts cannot be added from this website' message shows every time I'm dragging .crx file onto extensions tab. I use updated Chrome (29.0.1547.66 m) on Win XP and didn't have this problem with previous versions.

Hi Pablo,
Some time ago you mentioned about an option to get the log of all the transactions done by bbot in console output . Could you give any more details how to see/extract all the transactions there? By default it shows only the recent ones (at least in my case).
It's probably a question concerning more chrome addons management in general but I appreciate your help Wink

Hi Pablo,
Another happy (although not rich yet) b-bot user here Grin
As you guys have many ambitious plans concerning this project, including more exchanges, do you also consider introducing a cross-exchange arbitrage at some point?

Comprehensive exchanges fees info?

Hi Guys,
I was wondering is there any place where I can find a comparison of the fees I have to pay on different BTC exchanges (concerning the popular ones)  Huh
I'm a lazy creature and don't want to go to each service and check that out while such a service (actively updated) would be of a great value to all of us... wouldn't it?

Bitcurex, especially if you buy with PLN or EUR (their bank is in Poland)
On the other hand the additional security around changing BTC address where you want to withdraw your funds can be annoying...
