Confused, does it mean. The "switch" happens on the fly, so everybody who already pointed his mining hardware to it, will automatically start mining catcoins?

So let´s do some estimation.
Dogecoin case: Max Coins: 100,000,000,000 DOGE
Catcoin case: Max supply: 21 000 000 CAT
People said in the initial days of dogecoin it was possible to mine some Mil. of Dogecoins.
Lets say the awareness was nearly the same as on this coin. Means you could mine some 100 - 1000 coins on this one until it gets too difficult and ineffizient? (Depending on your hashrate of course).
Or do you think its not comparable this way? Maybe we have bigger awareness here. I´am not sure how and under which circumstances Dogecoin launched and how many ppl. mined already.

Nobody said anything about premining, but about +24 hrs. for other miners to discover.

Well at least I dont expect any magic coin. - I see the dogecoin as example. its dead now.
But one can´t ignore the fact that some really quick people who got in first, could earn some good money. - not millions but still...
(implying its the truth - which I don´t doubt) but its limited to a few individuals.
