[ANN] WoofCoin / New Coin [WOFC] GPU Mining/PoW

WOOF COIN

Since the beginning of the pandemic, pet surrendering rates have increased dramatically around the world. Waitlists for surrendering household pets have increased to a remarkable eight months as animal shelters and welfare organisations have seen an increase of 34% for animals needing help.

Typically, animal shelters are under resourced and under financed; relying heavily on donations and the volunteer efforts to assist animals.

This is where Woof Coin steps in. As avid lovers of dogs, we wanted to make a difference. Using the power of Proof of Work mining, we’ve created a coin where miners are contributing to the donation of money to animal welfare shelters. These shelters initially include the ASPCA who already have a cryptocurrency donation mechanism but with intention to expand to the RSPCA and other organizations suggested by the community.

Our aim is to put animals first and we intend on developing ongoing relationships with pet shelters to help adoption.

Coins Specifications
21 billion supply
Block 2,100,000 halving (4 years estimated)
Algorithm: KawPOW
Proof of Work

Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now?

Don't see anything surprising. It couldn't raise in price so fast infinitely. The correction was inevitable. It's like trying to run an infinite marathon. You can't run without having some rest. Sooner or later you have to rest for some time and then you can continue running. The same with Bitcoin.

Yeah, I agree.  It was only time before a correction was bound to happen.  I’m sure there will be other runs though where the price will go up even higher.  At this point, I think people are expecting volatility in price.

Under current conditions, it is very difficult to predict whether to buy Btc stock or waiting for market positive signal. The falling of Btc price affected on almost all coins. We can see in CMC all altcoins price falling dip together following bitcoin.

I think now is a good time to mine and potentially buy.  After the market correction of bitcoin, when you mine/Buy now, the value of your investment should go up.

I know the media and cryptocurrency haters are coming out in swarms today saying the bubble popped.  Well, I disagree!  If it really popped, Bitcoin wouldn't be valued at $9,345 (current price as I'm typing) if it truly popped.  We all know that the cryptocurrency market is volatile...but the same goes for other sectors that are new and exploring the unknown.

What are people’s thoughts on 1070ti versus 1080ti?  I know the 1080ti has higher earning potential, but is the cost for electricity more than the increase?

Whether or not the increased power consumption is a significant factor depends on the PSUs you can get, and your electricity rate. The 1070ti is definitely an efficient option when it comes to power (more so than the 1080ti on most algorithms, when clock settings are optimized for efficiency with that specific unit), but the 1080ti isn't too bad itself.

Thanks for the input!  I have 1070tis, but have been contemplating using the 1080tis since nothing is ever in stock.

Re: Crypto media you trust

I know a lot of sites were listed, but what about trusted experts in the crypto community.  Does anyone have recommendations on people in the community that are unbiased and just factual/informative?  I find a lot of media these days to have an agenda.

Yes, there are really a lot of good quality posters around and most of them are in the Legendary status. But I won't drop a name here, I want you to go around the forums and discover who those Legendary members I'm talking about.  Grin. I don't want to be accuse of "fawning". LOL.

As far as media I can trust, its really hard to say. Most of the mainstream media now are just writing garbage articles specially when bitcoin prices soar. As if they are just riding the popularity of crypto's, heck you can really spot them because all they talk is non sense and they really have their own agenda behind.

For the best source of news, this is the only reliable source that you can find. Although there's a lot of FUD's around, I'm sure that you can filter it out based on the answer of other members, and of course use your common sense.

Thanks for the reply! I figured there would be people right here in this forum that could be trusted.  I am still curious if their are any mainstream writers that are respected in the crypto community.  Most of the articles I have read lately are just speculative and talk about which currency is the ‘next big’ thing.  This forum has been helpful to browse, especially since most people in here are miners and/or investing their own money.

1080Ti is the best GPU in the market for mining depending upon it's cost.

vegas are the best profit wise, but both the 1080ti an vega are too expensive

Yes and not to mention they are never in stock!  I’m still waiting to be notified for the Vegas.

Hello I run a small hedge fund and would like to get into the mining business in alt coins. I'm looking to hire or partner with someone who is passionate about this space. Age and education are of no consequence.
Please only email me if your serious at erikemail@gmail.com

This could be mutually beneficial to all parties depending on how much you’re willing to invest and the percentage you’re splitting with your partner.  Good luck!

Re: Where can I sell some XRP (Ripple)?
by
Georgejoshio
on 05/01/2018, 23:41:41 UTC
I have some XRP I want to convert to BTC. So I opened an account at Bitstamp. Unfortunately you need to verify the account before you can send your XPR there. And they are currently very much behind with verifications, looking at 2 weeks+ or so. I then went to Binance, but they don't accept new customers at the moment. Any ideas which other exchange I could choose? Preferably one where I don't have to go through a lengthy verification process.

Sell it to Chris Larsen...the cofounder of ripple who is now the fifth richest person in the world. Smiley

Re: INSANE BITCOIN TRANSACTION FEES!!!
by

The fees are tremendously high and this is the reason why ripple and other coins are experiencing a huge rise recently, and if btc don`t do something for fees its dominance will drop more.

I completely agree.  If bitcoin has more expensive transaction fees and doesn’t make it viable for smaller  transactions, I definitely see it losing momentum and adoption.

I assume the fees associated with buying from a merchant is lower than converting to your local currency.  If that wasn’t the case, it would be better just to buy in your own currency.

Re: Best Exchanger for 2018?
by

After trading consistently for the last year, I think there no single best exchange, theres always small differences and alt coins on each exchange!
but so out of all that I tried Binance (best overall) and Kucoin (most simple interface) and Huobi (best withdrawal fees).
And theres still so many to try and coming up this year, cant wait!

Why do you rate Binance Best overall?  Also, of the ones you’ve used, which one had the lowest fees?  Thanks in advance for your reply.

Besides reading articles on which cryptocurrencies are gaining traction, how are people in this forum getting information?  For example, in the following article - https://www.fool.com/investing/2018/01/02/forget-bitcoin-here-are-12-cryptocurrencies-you-sh.aspx - should I consider certain publishers or authors as more credible over others? There are just so many writers out there and not sure who to trust.

one guy had over 100k in gear and isurance is refusing to cover it.  You are best off being direct and straightforward with your insurance to make sure they know

what they have to cover straight up

I agree with you, it’s better to call your insurance company up and let them know if you want insurance to cover your rigs.  If you think from the insurance company’s perspective, they are taking on more risk without being compensated if they aren’t told you have 100k in gear, but are expected to pay out of something bad happens.

Re: How much would it cost to build mining rig?

Looking at the prices and depending n where you live you could probably get a 4gpu rig $700 for the Mobo ram cpu psu and HDD and the rest for the cards.

How much should I spend on a power supply?  I am building a rig with 6 1070s and was thinking of buying a EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 P2 80+ PLATINUM.  Any advice is appreciated.

Can't go wrong with those - they are pricey but those and G2 850's are my 2 top favorite PSU's. I also have Thermaltake 1500, Quark 850's and Corsair 850's, all of them have been hashing away for the past year no issues so far but who knows down the line.

That is why overkill unless you plan on adding more gpus into the 6 you rig. A 1200w platinum PSU is good. Evga or cosair.

I was planning on scaling to 12 GPUs.  The motherboard I bought can hold 19 GPUs and has 3 separate power supplies per 6 GPUs.  I was planning on getting 2 power supplies eventually.

Are u going to use Linux or are you going to try it on WIn 10?

Yes, I was planning on using Linux.
