what is the best web monitoring for this miner?

kerney666 said sometime ago "I have some plans on getting a little Python hack going that acts as an adapter against the messier sgminer API and provides an xmr stak equivalent html and http/json interface. Time time time."

Maybe an adapter for claymore monitor or xmr-stak

Re: ATX PSU + Server PSU
by

Hi,

From what I have read I have seen many different ways to connect risers/gpus and atx+server psu

In my experience I have worked with ATX + Server PSU (HP 750W/1200W) and I can tell you what has been working for me:

  • ATX PSU for Mobo+Couple GPUS and their risers.
  • Server PSU for risers and GPUs.
  • If you use more than one server psu, each GPU and their risers are in the same PSU

 If you use breakout board will make the Server PSU on when ATX PSU is on. The system can work fine without it but Server PSU will be always on (GPUs + Risers). In some cases you would need to turn off Server PSU to recover the GPUs from a crash, rare but happens when finding the right overclock, nothing to worry if you have an stable system or if you can restart it physically.

Avoid:
Using different PSU for riser and gpu. Instead use the same PSU for the same GPU and its riser.
Using sata connectors for risers or using more than 2 risers per cable from ATX PSU.

You have to power the Server PSU first, because you need the motherboard to recognize the GPUs in the system. If you do it reversed, the system will not show the GPUs from Server PSU.

Cheers!

[2018-11-07 03:02:13] Pool xmr-us-east1.nanopool.org share accepted. (GPU1) (4728/4576/95)

how to fix that?

what method are you guys using to have a fixed core clock ?
i set it up for let's say 1400mhz for vega56 using overdriventool but when watching it with HWiNFO is not the same it's about 1350Mhz
The readme file states that core clock is the way to get a better hashrate using this miner I want to take advantage of that and it is said that used ppt mod i guess that means SoftPowerTables ?
any hint appreciated

Hey Germini,

The error you're seeing is because nanopool's stratum doesn't follow the standard protocol.  We will have a work-around option for pools like this in the next release.
As for your card clocking down, is the card thermal or power throttling?  What temperatures does it report?  What voltage are you using for the 1400 clock?

this are the settings for some of the cards all vega56 others use lower mem clock that is the only clock stable and fixed.
 temps are stable in those values I think they are ok don't know how to see if it's power throttling

Hello dear mates, I hope this shoots some light to people stuck with this hardfork or people without wanting to use SoftPowerPlayTables

I installed CastXMR v1.5.0 using same drivers 18.4.1 as when using CastXMR 1.4, the day before the hardfork hashing OK
Now the day after hardfork each vega 56 is hashing 800h/s.

Be careful with running all your GPUs for tests because power consumption is increased. For safety run only 1 or 2 to test if overclock/undervolt works fine.

EDIT: No need for ati patch using 18.6.1 also applying overclock takes place without the need to use a dummy overclock before the desired one.

Solution to fix it
1) Uninstalled Adrenalin Drivers v18.4.1 using DDU 18.0.0.2, restart
2) Installed Adrenalin Drivers v18.6.1, restart

After these two steps, overclocks/undervolt overclocking and undervolt is working without soft power tables.Now i'm hashing 7% slower than before and power consumption increased by 13%.

My setup working with overclock and undervolt no need for SoftPowerPlayTables is the following:
don't know if you can get the best undervolt/overclock using this method or using SoftPowerPlayTables, but works fine for me
-CastXMR v1.5.0
-Adrenalin Drivers v18.6.1 settings by default (HBCC comes off by default as well as crossfire is off by default even having more than 1 gpu)
-OverdriveNTool v2.7 beta 4 (http://www.dropbox.com/s/equ297p3otqu28n/OverdriveNTool 0.2.7beta4.7z?dl=1)
-Watchdog script: HashMonitor.ps1 (https://github.com/fiddlefingers/Fiddlefingers-cast_xmr-hashrate-monitor-and-restart-tool/blob/master/HashMonitor.ps1)

how to get jsonrpc with curl for this miner?
I'm trying this and it's not working

curl -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"id":0,"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"miner_getstat1"}' http://IP:3333

I didn't make it with curl but I made it with python I had to add a newline character \n at the end of the request.
like this {"id":0,"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"miner_getstat1"}\n

Hey Germini,
Can you post your code please?
I found one python code somewhere here, but neither with \n it does not working :/

Hi, no problem with this code you can get all the data from a claymore or phoenixminer with no problem using python. thanks to (https://github.com/pistonov/RedTools-Rig-Light)

Code:
import socket
import json

def get_data(ip, port):
    sock = socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_STREAM)
    server_address = (ip, int(port))
    try:
        sock.connect(server_address)
    except Exception as e:
        return []
    request = '{\"id\":0,\"jsonrpc\":\"2.0\",\"method\":\"miner_getstat1\"}\n'
    request = request.encode()
    try:
        sock.sendall(request)
    except Exception as e:
        return []
    try:
        data = sock.recv(512)
    except Exception as e:
        return []
    message = json.loads(data)
    sock.close()
    return message

def get_data_claymore(miner_ip, miner_port):
    hashrate_total = []
    hashrate = []
    accepted_shares = []
    invalid_shares = []
    miner_uptime = []

    data = get_data(miner_ip, miner_port)

    try:
        all = data['result'][6].split(';')
        gpu_temp = all[::2]
        gpu_fans = all[1::2]
        hashrate_total = int(data['result'][2].split(';')[0])
        hashrate = data['result'][3].split(';')
        accepted_shares = int(data['result'][2].split(';')[1])
        invalid_shares = int(data['result'][2].split(';')[2])
        miner_uptime = data['result'][1]
        return gpu_temp, gpu_fans, hashrate_total, hashrate, accepted_shares, invalid_shares, miner_uptime

    except Exception as e:
        return []

data = get_data_claymore("192.168.1.13", 3333)
print(data)

Enjoy my friend!

Hi, I've been trying to customize the panels available from claymore and castxmr but when copying overall rig status from claymore to other dashboard I see that Mining Time has incorrect values. How to fix this?

After some debugging I realized that the query from the original panel is different than the copied one. Is there any way to make it the same?. Where to specify $timeFilter in the copied one?

in the query of the original panel it says:
Code:
"SELECT installed_gpus,active_gpus/installed_gpus,last(hr)*1000000, target_hr*1000000,"mining_time" FROM "miner_system" WH ERE miner='CLAYMORE' and time >= now() - 24h group by "rig_id""
in the query of the copied panel it says:
Code:
"SELECT installed_gpus,active_gpus/installed_gpus,last(hr)*1000000, target_hr*1000000,"mining_time" FROM "miner_system" WH ERE miner='CLAYMORE' and time >= 1527129649148ms and time <= 1527151249150ms group by "rig_id""

I separated the word WHERE to avoid blocking from forum

EDIT: The time range in the top right was between an old time that is the $timeFilter so that's why the values are outdated. I leave the post for anyone with the same problem to fixit.

Thanks for your work rodney2250!!  Cheesy Cheesy

Any ideia to develop it in cast xmrstack?

Thanks

Are you referring to this one? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2256917.msg37051627#msg37051627

I posted there asking for a Json file and the URL to the remote management port. If you can provide both I can easily add support for it

Hi! , thanks for your work, pretty awesome dashboard i'm running it using windows 10 in a miner without any problems

When castxmr v1.0.0 is executed using --remoteaccess you go to the miner http://127.0.0.1:7777 and you get this, no file extension:

I'm trying to collaborate with your project by mining using the following command but it's not mining anything.  Could you tell what's wrong? i'm testing with cpu mining only, but I can let one of my rx470 to mine scrypt not the best choice, but it's something
Code:
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool.chaucha.cl:3008 -u ckVEtPS6S9wAhpcYeZ3BD9QWBGgqmN9qvm -p x
