It is because of people like Laszlo that bitcoin got to where it is today.

Pizza day is not about pointing a finger at the value of BTC then and now, and cringe or laugh. Bitcoin started at zero on the 3rd of January 2009.

Pizza day will forever immortalise the significance of the community for the success of the world's most important decentralised movement in human civilisation.

laszlo is a pioneer. He is a legend.

Thank you laszlo, happy pizza day !!

Re: TradeOgre SCAM? Admin supposedly stole 3 btc (screenshots included)

Graft is the only CryptonightV8 pow coin and this guy orders 30+ mh/s at the exact same time as his deposit of 1.9 million yeah ok.  there is no point to deposit that much at once unless you are dumping onto the entire order book.  he even admits he tried to do a doublespend the day before in his message and now is mad that he gets caught the second time?  yeah im sure they just want to steal your graft shitcoin so they can sell it on another exchange, wait there is no other exchange for it. what a fucking idiot.

Again, there is no proof, how do you know who ordered what and where? Where did he admit? Can you post proof? There is no point in depositing x amount of coins? Wow, so you as an admin (obviously) are going to decide what is a "normal" deposit and what is "too much", based on your subjective feelings? I know people who have 10x those amounts in various shitcoins, so when they send it to an exchange,
admin decides that is "too much" and steals their money, cause they could dump it? Cheesy I'm sorry guys, but I'm done with this.

We seriously need to ignore all the centralized exchanges ASAP, this shit will lead to mt.gox x1000...

As a legendary member with +10 trust factor, I feel it is my responsibility to call out this injustice towards Trade Ogre.

For reference, I was part of the official Dash team for 3 years, and I am now part of the Graft team.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Trade Ogre admin has shown nothing but the utmost professionalism and competence running that horrible looking exchange. But you know what, It is called Trade Ogre for a reason. It is not meant to be pretty, it is meant to work rock solid - which it does. I was also a bit put off at the beginning due to the anonymous nature of the people behind it, plus dealing primarily with cryptonote based coins also freaked me out. But in these past 8 month I have grown to respect TO far more that most other exchanges. NEVER leave funds you can't afford to loose on an exchange.
In - trade - out. No drama, any risk is mitigated.

TO does not wash trade. TO does not margin trade. TO does not have shady book keeping, or false triggering. Deposits and withdrawals are the fastest I've ever witnessed. And customer support, despite being on Twitter - simply works faster and more efficient that any other exchange.

 Regarding this case;

On the 29th of January, this user contacted me in an extremely aggressive manner, while asking my help. He deposited 1.9M Graft only to find his account became locked. This was after a successful previous dump. I will not reveal TO secrets, but it is clear without a doubt this was the user that performed a 51% reorg attack using NiceHash, and because Graft is currently only traded on TO with enough liquidity, he was silly enough to deposit back the stolen amount under a new account. This action instantly flagged his account and was locked for investigation.

"Moon Cow", as seen in the screenshot below - was so enraged that he even threatened to sue Graft lead developers - which is in the least both bizarre and … just plain silly.

I hope that it is evident by the choice of words and aggressive nature, this is not someone in distress asking for genuine help. This is someone who is on the verge fo a tantrum attempting restitution with threats, who is irritated and not genuinely concerned about his funds.

I did, however, take this very seriously, and contacted TO admin. We both went through the evidence and I have absolutely no doubt at all regarding TO's admin's seriousness and honesty in this matter.

Moon Cow / soundasleep acuses TO of selective scam, and infers about an attack that nobody knew about except TO, and then the community a few days later when deposit confirmations increased to 200 and everyone started asking questions. What an astonishing coincidence…

I follow several communities that use TO daily. I have never, ever once hear anyone mention and detained funds - even during and after several attacks TO has been subject to.

Even still, I did invite Moon Cow / soundasleep to show real intention by "KYC" himself to TO, as a sign of good faith and transparency. And by that, I would involve myself further at a higher level.  Which he refused, again, threatening to contact the authorities. Which of course, I said that would a perfectly valid option and invited him to do so.

Moon Cow / soundasleep is also anonymous and has no legitimacy in this case.

 He is a NiceHash attacker.

 Hi limmousine,

The MVP is available in Alpha version for now, but only for select institutional and qualified investors.
After that, we will release a public Beta - other than this I cannot provide any more specifics regarding the platform at this moment I'm afraid.

Development is hush-hush for now, because we are preparing something really great. Do stay tuned, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I would highly suggest everyone join our Telegram channel and follow the discussions there.

 https://t.me/Kambiochat

And will the Beta have open access, or restricted to ICO investors only?

Woooah - will this be the end on the ICO as we know it?

Hopefully so. Ask anyone that participated in an ICO last year what they feel about it today. The fact is that ICO's were seriously abused. heck, no one made any effort, just download a WP theme, edit the text and boom - instant money maker. Millions of unsuspecting retail investors got seriously burnt. This is not p2p decentralized chains... they are just money grabbers. Which is why I'm soy interested in this next phase of security tokens. At least they call it what they are supposed to be called, and not try to dodge the authorities.

Very well put, my thoughts exactly

I think denarius was a POW / PoS cryptocurrency hybrid based on the original Satoshi core codebase, Denarius is a new electronic currency Bitcoin is based on the original core of Satoshi Nakamoto. I noticed for the project inspired the name behind Denarius Roman monetary system. It became the most popular coin was produced in ancient Roman times to circulate in public.

lol... What does that have to do with anything related here? Denari-who ?  Grin

@GhostPlayer that the ico has not started and the team is attending conferences shows professionalism and seriousness when creating a project, something rare in the days we live Smiley

Do you remember the good old days here in the forum, when an airdrop was actually a totally legitimate thing to do as a means of equalitarian distribution of coins, so that projects would not suffer from the "instamine blues" ... or simply be 100% premined but justly distributed amongst all participants, so the dilution of coins would produce a much fairer and even economy, without being subject to insider manipulation?

Ahh ... the good old days...  It makes me sick to my stomach to see what these airdrops have become today. Completely destroyed the original vibe. Hope Kambio doesn't fall into the "free money come and get it" game

Totally agree with you, I sense this project is different. Can't remember an ICO in pre-ICO stage that had so much going on already.

I agree, the development is very interesting, it is certainly difficult for me to practice the action and the process of finishing it, but in theory everything is interesting.

yeah, I got thrown back a bit at first, wasn't expecting that at all. But makes perfect sense, this could be huge. Hope to see an MVP soon

What a whitepaper  Shocked !! damn...

I've got to say, only a team of this calibre and expertise can pull this off. Puts this project right up there along with tZero, Polymath and Bancor.
Will definitely keep this under the radar. The ICO is not even active and already attending conferences showing face... bravo!

PAY-IN/PAYOUT EXCHANGE BROKERS: DESIGN AND ECONOMICS

As mentioned in the original white paper, the network relies on pay-in and payout brokers to facilitate near instant payments with any fiat or cryptocurrency, and near-instant merchant payouts into any fiat or cryptocurrency. What follows is a more detailed description of how the system operates along with the fees that are present. Read full blogpost at https://www.graft.network/2018/07/27/pay-in-payout-exchange-brokers-design-and-economics/

I know this may a little preemptive, but I am lighting a candle that over the crazy good tech you are developing, there is an equally elegant GUI/ UX!

You think that price will evolve enough to avoid this airdrop? Smiley

There have been very few times in my life when I was absolutely certain about something. This is certainly one of them. By far the best-hidden gem in crypto.

If you study the details closely, you will quickly see how Graft is way waaay waaaaaaaay more than meets the eye.

 The only thing that needs to happen is ... well ... its happening already. I will not eat my most prized organ on national television like John McAfee, but I will say this;

Out of all the projects I've witnessed through the years, and some even officially participated in - this is the one that truly nails it IMHO - in terms of philosophy, tech implementation, team credentials and competence, market strategy and (finger's crossed) delivery.

True decentralization, even at the FIAT level (jurisdiction dependent, but hey, its FIAT...)

RTA is kick-ass, and Verifone + Ingenico a fast track to mass adoption. But still, that scenario is still a few good years away from true expression.

The way they are edifying the DEX and reward system - holy smokes batman!

A proper DEX, for the first time, to serve the crypto community, without any BS. Lighting fast, with instant authorization, without slow bookkeeping due to blockchain confirmations/orphaning...

The community is a liquidity provider and sole beneficiary. Incentivized  Supernodes to power the 2nd layer without the BS.

The barrier of entry in terms of tech knowledge is completely eliminated natively. The DEX can perfectly serve as a personal bank to anyone holding a smartphone - no need for anything else.

I am blown away by the elegance in the design of the network. When this "gets out" ... Binance Labs will have a very strong competitor.

FYI the airdrop is capped to unsold ICO funds that are already included in the circulating supply. By my calculations, there is a maximum of 60 million unsold ICO funds currently in the circulating supply. Therefore the airdrop will be for no more than 60 million GRFT.

The airdrop will not need to happen. Mark my words.

Devs question on CryptoFind - How to send a lot of money to a wallet? I ask this question for the third time - why can not you answer?  Huh

This has been answered a few times before.

Hello, any idea when GRFT will be transferable from CryptoFind app to Graft wallet? Thank you!

This function should be available in the next release.
However i do not have an ETA at the moment.

almost the same capacity and the same volume of trading ...
but one project grows and the other, "where the team works" - falls !?

I'm sorry for people who believed in the graft!

Ok calm down. I understand your logic. I thought the same in 2013.

If you base your views on what is happening on that weird and extremely dubious exchange, that no sane human being would ever
send funds to start with ... then that says it all.

Anything that happens on TradeOgre has zero significance whatsoever, especially at 3 BTC/day trading volume

Re: Looking for anti ASIC, GPU miners
by
GhostPlayer
on 13/07/2018, 21:35:23 UTC
I strongly believe that ASIC resistant proof of work mining is the best way for a cryptocurrency to create a decentralized, censorship resistant, blockchain that maximizes both the quantity and quality of stakeholders. My background is in financial risk management, and I have been heavily involved in Crypto since mid 2016. In July of last year I founded a company based on my philosophy and as it has proven it out, I am now in the process of expanding and scaling it up. My goal is to create a company that develops/incubates ASIC resistant proof of work coins, using mining to invest in and finance these projects. Thus by mining coins we believe in the firm can generate income by contributing to open source developments of the crypto ecosystem.

Currently I'm looking for people who share my passion and belief in ASIC resistant proof of work mining and are interested in joining my team. If you are interested in this idea and would like to be a part of this project, or just want to know more about what I am doing, please reach out to me on here. I am especially interested in finding other GPU miners but if you are interested and passionate about ASIC resistant proof of work don't hesitate to reach out to me.

I most-heartedly agree 150% with your first sentence. However...

Let me see if I understand this... Your ambition is to create a for-profit company that creates hundreds (or thousands) of new coins, that are ASIC resistant, so everyone can mine them, but you will mine the coins that you create - for profit - and by doing so you are contributing to open-source?

 I think its brilliant.

How did you do as a financial risk manager, by the way?
