Hi Portnoy and all others,

Coinreaper.com and Bunnyrun.us should be added to the list.

The balances has been payed out! (some were actually payed twice by misstake)
New balances can be viewed on the bunnyrun page.

The proof for payouts were posted in the coinreaper thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=131785.msg7358819#msg7358819

Re: Where Can I Buy Bitcoin Related Ad Space?
by
Ghostofkobra
on 13/01/2014, 02:36:19 UTC
Hi and welcome.
The ad spaces on bitcointalk is auctioned off every week in the auction section.

This is a part-quote from the last round of ad spot auctions.

Best
/GoK

The forum sells ad space in the area beneath the first post of every topic page. About 25% of ad income goes to the forum moderators as thanks for all of their work. (There are many moderators, so each moderator gets only a small amount -- moderators should be seen as volunteers, not employees.) The rest is stored in the forum's treasury (verifiably), where it sits until the forum needs it.

Ads are allowed to contain any non-annoying HTML/CSS style. No images, JavaScript, or animation (no marquee or blinking). Ads must appear 3 or fewer lines tall in my browser. Ads will be prefixed with "Advertisement:". Ad text may not contain lies, misrepresentation, or inappropriate language. Ads may not link directly to any NSFW page. Ads may be rejected for other reasons.

There are 10 total ad slots which are randomly rotated. So one ad slot has a one in ten chance of appearing. Seven of the slots are for sale here. Ads appear only on topic pages with more than one post, and only for people using the default theme.

The ad lasts at least 7 days starting from when I put it up. (However, if you look at the ad history you'll see that ads frequently get 1-2 extra days, but this is random and definitely not guaranteed.)

$1500 or $600 for just registering the domains and selling them off, that is a good profit margin.

It is funny that you had this project in mind for maybe, 3 hours before you realized that you wanted to do focus on another project.

When i looked at the whois for the .biz domainname (i didnt want to waste more time and look at the rest).

It said:
Domain Registration Date:                    Mon Nov 25 00:26:06 GMT 2013

http://www.whois.com/whois/shopwithbitcoins.biz

So you clearly registered the domains to sell them.
You are fully allowed to do that, but some people (like me) think its a bit shady. (it stops people that actually build things from building them, thinking someone else is working on it, when its just a domain name broker.)

And so do you, otherwise you would have wrote: i registered them to sell them to a person who want to develop this idea.
Instead of lying about your intentions.

Happy Auctioning.

Store Update

All new sales will reflect our November price point of;

...

In less than a week, this "second batch" for far less should be delivered if KnC keep their promise.

I understand that you are upset, and not getting your early order in shipped in September is unfortunate and gives
you a right to be irritated/angry.

But please get your facts straight:
November orders (with new pricing) have a scheduled shipping time of November 15, that is  in 5 weeks not less than a week.

Re: Mt.Gox Account secured with Yubikey but still had 29 BTCs stolen
by
Ghostofkobra
on 15/09/2013, 22:08:04 UTC
One mistake i made in my police report was that i said i did not think MtGox took the money.
Then the police didnt investigate much at all, and did not put any pressure on gox to solve the issue whatsoever.
If you are not 110% sure noone at gox are involved, do NOT say you dont think its gox.

My account was cleaned out about a year ago, and mtGox's logs showed that noone was logged on when the withdraw was made.
Everyone pointed at This auth stuff for security, but now the same or some other security flaw has surfaced for a yubikey user.

But i am guessing this will get the usual, "We only talk to the police" answer from Gox.

I hope that i am wrong, that you get your cash refunded, they find and patch the hole and eventually catch the thieves.

Re: MTgox Account Got Hacked
by
Ghostofkobra
on 22/08/2013, 14:36:21 UTC
I am using Linux , i am IT  so i am pretty sure that the computer is not compromised

The only thing i see possible i did mistake when i started use bitcoin i used same password as bitcointalk

there is no other possible way the password is 8 char long with Upper and lowercase

i can only blame myself that i was not using 2FA but lesson learned i post this that maybe it can help or will help someone in futur

8 char long? So crackable in a few minutes/hours depending on the setup of the cracker. I never use password of less than 16 characters and upper, lower cases and also symbols (!, $, %, etc.) if its possible.

And being in IT and not using 2 factor auth on a site like MtGox should automatically get you fired from your job. Seriously, what were you thinking about?

Plus, working in IT and reusing passwords instead of using unique, random generated ones by default on ALL sites you use is so retarded you should be banned from the IT industry.

It is funny that i wrote this while you called me a troll.  Roll Eyes

You Sir, obviously have no critical thinking and see the world as black and white.

- 16 characters are marginally better than 8 character passwords, both can be cracked in hours or days. Ars Technica article on random passwords
- But it also has to do with pattern, randomness, etc. I can easily make a 8 char password that is better than a 16 char password
- Your point on symbols noted but changing i for ! and S for $ is just as bad.
- Password cracking is only fast if you already have the password database. (which the OP put out a warning for, compromized db's)
- If you try to crack it online by querying the server, 8 random upper lower chars takes months. (and could easily be made impossible by if logins / hour are restricted or with 2 factor auth).

- Your last point is just cruel and hateful and bears no merit on the real world. It belongs in a sand box.

Another factor that is more important than using the same password is to use different login names on all sites.
If the login names cant be matched, the passwords are useless.
