Hi,

I cannot change my automatic payout amount amount. It gives me the error:

"There was an error updating the database. Please try again after a few seconds."

It's been this way since I first started trying yesterday. (First time I've tried changing it for a day or two, was using manual payouts before) I want to change from 0.1 to 0.1005 so it's not like I'm using a weird amount or anything. Can you help me?

Also, you mention a 'small charge' for manual payouts, how much? Maybe I should just go back to manual payouts.

EDIT: Little update, just tried disabling automatic payouts by changing it to 0 and it worked right away. Tried changing it to 0.1005 and it it's gone to 0.1 So, I think it will only do a value of one decimal place. So I guess my question now is, how much are you charging for manual payouts?

All I want to know is where i can see (hopefully copy and paste lol) my 130 character public key.

Thanks. But that's a generator. I already have a wallet with a few addresses and it's those I want to know the public key for.

Key Question

Hi,

This is a simple question that seems to be impossible to find the answer to if you're using google. How can I find my public key? I can find my private key on my encrypted wallet.dat file no problem at all. The public key? no way. Been looking in forums and web pages, faqs and answered questions on question sites but nothing.

How can I get my public key?! I'm not talking about my bitcoin address, which (thanks to reading lots of material) I now know is a hash (to put it simply) of my public key and my private key. (One of which is simply a set of coordinates along a particular elliptical curve, i know, read these things about 2 dozen times).

All I want to know is where i can see (hopefully copy and paste lol) my 130 character public key.

Hi,

I'm having trouble connecting to the server with cpu miner 2.2.2, I'm getting 403 error when i use my browser.

Can you help?

403 error just means you're not authenticated.  So to see that in the browser is good, it means your network connection to the pool is fine.

Are you sure you're on cpuminer 2.2.2?  The latest 2.2.3 build for windows 64-bit had a bad bug in it.  Go back a few posts for details.

Cheers.

Oh you're here haha..

Yeap, just ran the --version command, definitely 2.2.2

Re: invest in bitcoin a good idea with ASICs around the corner?

I think that if you are going to invest in bitcoin, then you should actively be using bitcoin.  Through your experience in both mining and making purchases with bitcoin, you will be able to make a determination on whether bitcoin is for you.

I think what you will find is that the bitcoin is a strong currency, and is the way of the future........unless you like fiat currency, fractional reserve banking practices, and having your currency affected by variables from which you have no control over.  Invest now.....just don't put everything in bitcoin.

Sounds like good advice to me.

To be honest, I'm only aware of 2 Avalon units out in the wild. ASICMiner has a big setup at about 3TH. BFL are currently at the bumpping phase of the project so... I don't think anything is going to change much in the next week or two.

However it will change dramatically when BFL starts shipping, since their first batch (of appx 6-7k chips) will account for 40TH dropped onto the network. (approximately). Then a soon to follow batch (of abbout 10 days delay) will drop another 40-50TH onto the network. Maybe more.

Pretty soon 4.5GH will look like 250MH.  Shocked

I would like to see if this stays constant and build upon it's growth or pops like a bubble. With the advent of ASICS, I'm not sure if it will make any difference or not.  Huh

Fun, and useful.

I guess sometime I will have enough BTC to warrant such precautions.

Here's hoping...

Hey all,

Been lurking for a couple of months, decided to start posting.

Learned about Bitcoin a couple of months ago and I'm kinda late to the party considering the reward change and the impending difficulty hike from the ASIC storm that's a' comin'. I was all fired up and ready to build my own FPGA grid from something like spartan 6 chips as I was learning and I quickly ran into this ASIC wonder that's coming. Kinda killed the whole hobbyist/enthusiast deal by replacing it with a box with a light on it bu hey.. things move along.

Well, hopefully I can be of some benefit to some here as well as soaking up whatever info and tips I can.

Have a good one guys.
