Bitewei/Whatsminer is much more better in miner engineering than GMO.

That's a stupid statement to say that a company is more stable and trustworthy because it is located somewhere else than China. Just plain stupid.

Well it's just not somewhere else it's Japan. I'm pretty sure companies also has more legal obligation regarding the manufactiuring/selling and better consumer protection laws than China.
I'm not saying their hardware, software or even intention is better but if I just want to buy a miner as an enthusiast I still would've gone with them but I'm still considering buying the M10 too. Smiley

More stable and 'legit'? Have you even bothered to read the 1st few pages of the threads about the GMO miners?

Not quite sure what you are reffering to but with "more legit" I mean that they are a stable company based in Japan and have their european side based in Switzerland which is better than just ordering from a Chinese manufacture with paying in advance.

Hmm, well let's hope people get it soon I'm really curious since I pre-ordered a B3 miner. I'm also now thinking about pre-ordering a m10 but the company doesn't seem as stable/"legit" as GMO in my opinion. But I also hate pre-oredering becuse of the difficulty adjustments.

Doesn't anyone thinks it's a bit weird that GMO's miner B3 is an 7nm architecture, does ~33TH@3300w and the Whatsminer M10 is at 16nm and does ~33TH@2100w?

I'm a bit sceptic  Huh

Re: bitcoin-qt data directory is only a few gigabytes

It sounds like you've enabled pruning:

Code:
  -prune=
Reduce storage requirements by enabling pruning (deleting) of old
blocks. This allows the pruneblockchain RPC to be called to
delete specific blocks, and enables automatic pruning of old
blocks if a target size in MiB is provided. This mode is
incompatible with -txindex and -rescan. Warning: Reverting this
setting requires re-downloading the entire blockchain. (default:
0 = disable pruning blocks, 1 = allow manual pruning via RPC,
       >550 = automatically prune block files to stay under the
       specified target size in MiB)

Haha yep, maybe I should've checked the config file before posting  Roll Eyes

bitcoin-qt data directory is only a few gigabytes
by
Gimberg
on 07/02/2018, 20:08:42 UTC
Hi, I'm running a qt node and I recently took it apart and noticed that the qt data folder was only 4-5 gigabytes and I previously remember that I used to have the whole blockchain, which is no above ~150GB.

I started the node and it had some blocks that it needed to download but other than than it seems 100% normal, so my question is why is it only 5GB? I should have the whole blockchain or do I but it's compressed?

Thanks in advance for any help! Smiley

I have some good news for you guys! Cheesy
This week I got contacted by Christian who is the CEO over at http://btcx.se
btcx.se is a Swedish trading site where you can buy BTC and LTC for Swedish krona.

He wanted to start selling eKrona over at btcx.se, which is really great news!
However they need eKrona to get this to cover the integration cost and so they have some capital to start selling eKrona.

So I have set up a contribution address so PLEASE contribute so we can get this going! I have myself contributed with 1000KRN and I will probably contribute more later.
Any questions you can just PM me. Smiley

Contribution address - KUwnWYRs1agN3MVX1aYXR2Vm9vDqgr346n - http://altexplorer.net/address/KUwnWYRs1agN3MVX1aYXR2Vm9vDqgr346n

I am in...will contribute 1000KRN also

Did they mention what the approximate integration costs would be? They should keep in mind that the price of ekrona will probably hit somewhere in the .0015 - .02 range very quickly so these 1000 donations will be worth quite a bit of btc surely enough to integrate.

No, but he wrote "a large amount". I have asked for more specific amount so we can have a goal to reach for but I don't ant to speculate on how much Smiley
