Re: Bitcoinsports.eu Bit365 SCAM Discussion Thread

I'm happy to report I just received 1 btc from bit365. I do believe now he is trying his best to pay back everyone and that he is not scamming us.

I agree with with jj30, maybe we should start betting again. Trust is everything in this business, and when/if bit365 pays everyone back, his betting site could really prosper. I do hope his communication will improve and that he should be more open and honest with us. Sort of what busoni from poloniex did - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=499580.0 and not what karpeles did in mtgox situation.
I'm pretty sure the community will help bit365, if he is open with us.

I saw it posted that he lives in Czech Republic. Was this ever confirmed?

I think its time to track down this guy. Anyone know a good bitcoin focused PI?
We could organize some kind of bounty on him. Since people are already selling their investments at a discount, I'm pretty sure most of them would be willing to give something like half of their "investments/bets" to a person who tracks this guy down. For a few hundreds of btcs reward, i'm sure many would look for this scammer.
There is a good chance he left his IP address somewhere, like i said, i'm not sure he started this site as a scam, so maybe he didn't use proxy everytime he logged in to this forum or when he registered domains...

Yeah I think when he started this site, it wanted to be legit. But at some point he decided that stealing money is way easier than actually earning it. Everyone has a price, a few hundreds of btcs (when they became worth 1000+$) was bit365's price for him to go "breaking bad". Or maybe his wife left him or his dog died, who knows what made him tip over... As long as he stays anonymous, he is not risking much by scamming people over and over.

If anyone is interested, I may know the Personal information of the OP. He has been in the Sports betting field for a while. Those who have been affected deeply. Send me an email .. blaze@bitcappers.com and I'll see if I can help you.
Hi bit365 Smiley

Another guy who just happens to know bit365's identity. First it was jj30 who either went nuts or was in on the scam... Now another guy shows up buying time for bit365... Fool me once - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjmjqlOPd6A&hd=1
Mods please label this thread as a scam, bit365 stole hundreds of btcs from us.

Those who are selling your investments, you probably have less than 5% chance getting your money back.

So he pays out small bets to keep this scam going. He didn't pay any big investment... That investment page on his site is obv a joke. Does anyone actually believe he had every single bet/investment stored in seperate cold wallets? lol cmon.
Mods need to change the title of this thread to warn other people. Also be very careful of all the new betting sites that are coming out now. He probably already started a new site. scammers gonna scam.

@mekanical
yeah i doubt he would his real address in domain registration and/or webhosting. what's bitcointalk's policy about sharing a scammer's IP address?

@wasubii
did you get paid for this investment, which has no winnings/losses and was made after he solved his "winnings calculation problems"?
Personally, i am owed BTC8 from an 'investment' which he had for less than 24 hours (http://www.bitcoinsports.eu/inv/72d3d)

Now some new guy shows up in this thread, promoting his newly created twitter account and highly praises bitcoinsports. This looks more and more likely to be a scam, I guess I have to readjust my "educated guesses" from my previous post Grin

Let's face it. We are not getting our btcs back. I guess he got enough money from us, why would he bother now fixing the site and wasting his time on a site with damaged reputation? He will never get as much money in commisions, so it's better for him to run away with our money. It is best for him to pay out a few small bets/investments, to give us the illusion that the site is still operating to get even more btcs. When the jig is up, he can just start a new sports betting site. Or maybe he already did, with all the spammy PMs I'm receiving to join other sport betting sites...
That is probably his most +EV move if he's a scammer.

If he's just really incompetent, his best move would be, to be more transpartent and open with us. We gave him every opportunity to do that, but he is just ignoring us.

So my educated guess is:
50% sure that he is a scammer
40% he lost btcs while converting them to $$$, and the recent spike in price made him insolvent
10% sure he actually has problems calculating winnings

Does anyone have a better explanation?

Hi everyone,

We are still working on the investment issue, which has taken much more time and effort than expected to fix. However, all pending bets and investments will still be sent as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience.

So not a single investment has been payed...

It has been almost one month since my investment withdrawal request: http://www.bitcoinsports.eu/inv/9306a

Did anyone get paid who made a withdrawal during early to mid november when the "problems" started? I don't buy what bit365 said, that he has to go manually through 8000 bets. There were a lot less bets made during when our "problem" investments were placed.

Hey bit365,

I'm also still waiting for my investment cashout which I requested over a week ago - http://www.bitcoinsports.eu/inv/9306a
I've made several investments on your site and cashouts were always fairly quick. Now this slow cashouts are making me wary of investing again. Please take a look.

Thanks
Gizm0
