Re: 80 BTC: transaction not found?

I checked the sending address (18JP8n2bzJhNXqiQvrS5h28mgEuGDaTn51) and found that there were only 78 BTC in that address at the time the transaction was broadcasted to the network. What might of happened was that the transaction was rejected by the Bitcoin network (or blockchain.info's bitcoind), but due to a bug the 80 BTC were still subtracted from beeteecee's online wallet.

Hmm, it's probably a bug in the blockchain.info wallet software then. Did you check another site to see if the bitcoins were actually received/sent to that address?

I think the guy is lying, just to get you to send him 80 BTC again. Even if the bitcoins were "lost", that would still be his fault.

Is there a safe way to receive/send LTC without downloading the whole blockchain? Any alternative client?

I believe there is an Electrum client for Litecoin, but I'm not entirely sure.

FYI: I'm getting a Chrome alert when trying to access page 3 of this thread. Something to do with ladyomega.com. I seriously don't have a clue what it's about, but may be important.
It's a dangerous website warning by Chrome. Google's robots picked up problems at ladyomega.com.

And no matter what I click on their warning page, Google won't let view page 3. I'm not sure about the other pages with the exception of this one and 1 & 2. Nor can I view ALL pages as a whole.

BTW, there's nothing special on Page 3 I was trying to get at. I was just perusing the thread looking at the logo designs.

I am getting the same warning on page 3 while using Chrome for Windows 7.

I wonder if the people at Paypal are doing the scamming, to make people lose confidence in Bitcoin.

That is the common denominator.

The current incarnation:
  BitcoinTalks.com

The e-mail address for that PayPal account:  bitcointalks.org@live.com

Previous scams (in chronological order) likely by the same scammer:

 - EasyZPay.com
 - MtGax.com
 - MtGix.com
 - i4Dollars.com
 - BTKoin.com

There was one other, I can't remember the domain.

Please report this scammer as badware:

easzpay.com?

Four months and seven days (129 days) have gone by without repayment.

I compound the amount owed daily, but at a rate as if it was compounded monthly. The formula I use is:

Code:
31*((1.09^(12/365))^[number of days since 4 August 2012])

As of 11 December 2012, KingKatari owes me 44.67772601 BTC. (This can be paid in USD, as per the original agreement.)

Hahahahahaha. This thread is hilarious!

Don't you guys see? Successful troll is successful. My guess is that annette786 is just LukeJr's sock.

Just to aggravate the flamewar...
TheButterZone, your argument is completely invalid. Just because one Litecoin transaction you had didn't confirm before a Bitcoin one did, doesn't mean it's always or mostly that way.  Roll Eyes

And remember when Bitcoin was in its infancy? Just because there aren't many places that accept it, doesn't make it a bad idea.

Notice "transactionS". Wasn't just one ridiculously long confirm. Add that to the people I was dealing with saying that they never got fast confirms when it counted either, and I have to wonder if anyone but miners are getting quick confirms, as consistently shouted from the rooftops.

There can be only one.
The one cryptocoin to rule them all.
Bitcoin.

The statistical probability of a >10 minute block on Litecoin is much less than the probability of such a block on Bitcoin. Just take a look at http://explorer.litecoin.net/chain/Litecoin. And yes, I am getting quick confirmations in my Litecoin wallet.

If you have a slow network connection or are not connected to any peers then I can see how your client will not show any confirmations. But in reality, the transaction is still confirmed whether your client shows it or not.

I'm using cgminer 2.7.1 and also getting very high rejects for last few days. I changed to another pool but when I tried 50 btc again it was still having issues.

Here's what I see now:

Q:8439  A:37169  R:2051  HW:1  E:440%  U:12.1/m

Up until a few days back I always had very low rejects and I have not changed anything at all.
Switching to another pool until this is resolved.

Here's a segment from my log and I've noticed this happens at each longpoll like this,

Code:
[2012-11-22 21:44:06] Accepted 137c3b45.db61c58d GPU 2 pool 0
 [2012-11-22 21:44:12] Accepted 92371924.45e6083d GPU 1 pool 0

 [2012-11-22 21:44:37] Rejected 5263f6f8.06c4b9e4 GPU 1 pool 0
 [2012-11-22 21:44:44] Rejected c8333f3e.efc74e0e GPU 0 pool 0
 [2012-11-22 21:44:45] Rejected f1bf2204.37ac6f20 GPU 2 pool 0
 [2012-11-22 21:44:46] Rejected 1b1001fd.784bd629 GPU 1 pool 0
 [2012-11-22 21:44:50] Rejected 5aa8f448.74c9068b GPU 2 pool 0
[2012-11-22 21:44:51] New block detected on network before longpoll
 [2012-11-22 21:45:01] Accepted e05d9559.70fa6d66 GPU 1 pool 0
 [2012-11-22 21:45:04] Accepted 63df1ca8.378aa886 GPU 1 pool 0
 [2012-11-22 21:45:06] Accepted 8f568c87.a7ececb5 GPU 0 pool 0

Sometimes the string of rejects happens after the longpoll and not before. Sometimes only one reject but often many.

I have the same issue exactly as described above, except that I am using CGminer 2.8.7.

Very quick communication. Thanks!
