Currently the Globitex exchange is UK-based. The exchange is already live NOW (0% fee BETA trading) and you can start trading bitcoin and bitcoin cash against euros immediately. It's not down like certain other exchanges have been recently  

Maker/taker fees offer a transaction rebate in the form of lower/no commissions to those who provide liquidity on the exchange (the market makers). The chief aim of maker/taker fees is to stimulate trading activity within the exchange.

In simple terms, if you place a limit order to buy at a price lower or  sell at a price higher than the current market rate of an asset, you can expect to pay lower/no fees compared to someone that just places a market order and immediately buys/sells at the current available rates.

CME recently announced that they are planning to launch cash settled Bitcoin futures. So they partially is our competitor. However, Globitex is bringing the idea further and the project will enable people to trade physically settled bitcoin financial products and trade real commodities against bitcoin. There is no other project of our knowledge that is offering anything similar. 

We will announce pre-sales results before start of the public sales.

Due to the impending Bitcoin fork event scheduled around 16 November 2017, which is a significant event for the community, Globitex have taken the decision to postpone the public token sale event of GBX tokens, originally planned for 8 November 2017.

The revised date for the public token sale will be announced shortly, so please check back for further updates or join the Telegram channel to hear the news first. Meanwhile GBX tokens will continue to be available via an ongoing pre sale for contributors of EUR 10,000 equivalent or more.
