Re: BTC price break 1459 USD, is it too late to invest in Bitcoin?
by

This really just depends on what your intentions are with Bitcoin. If you're looking for a quick buy low sell high kind of thing, I think it's too late for that. If you're talking about long term, that's something else. I don't think it's ever too late to invest into Bitcoin if you're thinking about sitting on Bitcoin for a long time. I'd say buy whenever you can and sell whenever you think you've made enough profit.

Re: Bitcoin reaches the price of 1500 USD do we have to sell or we save?

What is your opinion for me right now?

I think this just depends on yourself and your sistuation. Ask yourself, what is it that you need? Do you need money right now? Are you going to make profit from what you've invested if you sell right now?

These are the questions you should ask yourself when you're considering to sell. If all the answers above are no then just save up. As for me, I'm saving up for now even though I would make a bunch of profit right now.

Let's presume that when 21 millions of bitcoin have been mined, Bitcoin price would be $100,000 each. So even 10bits (which is a very small amount of bitcoin – 0.00001BTC) of Bitcoin would be worth $1 at that time, hence, the 21-million coins would be enough for everyone, but we are not going to be there soon, worry not.

This is true. We, as Bitcoin users, got a long way to go before all the Bitcoins will be mined. Would be nice to teach our next generation about Bitcoin and pass it over to them.

Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose?

I do it for both. For fun and for future purposes. Right now I don't feel the need to use Bitcoin, I like having the option to be able to have Bitcoin as a payment option. At the same time, having Bitcoin and saving it for later (or for whenever I want) is fun for me.

Back when I had an iPhone I used to use the Blockchain wallet. It worked well for me and to this day I still haven't found any cons about it.

Re: Bitcoiners...We making History!

But spending BTC is going to be much easier than Gold.  What do you do with a 1 oz coin if you want to spend 75 dollars on something?  Gold is very inconvenient unless you deal in large amount transactions at once.  I fully believe that in the next few years we will see things bought and sold for a few satoshi's.  That is where BTC is so much better in the long run.  Plus, you can steal Gold much easier than BTC if the holder knows what he/she is doing.

That's what goldbugs don't get. Gold is absolutely useless in the digital era. Who the hell wants to hold some stupid gold coins in 2017? I mean what is the point in any case? We live in a globalized world, a global economy, the internet is the biggest business, you can't think in local terms anymore, and bitcoin is the best way to make payments across the planet. Gold is only useful if you live in an isolated village with no internet and out of the civilization or something.

Gold might be useless in the digital era but it's been around way longer than Bitcoin has. I'm sure Gold will be around for a very long time. There are still tons of miners out there mining for gold. Who knows how much Gold there is to find.

Unlike with bitcoin, there's only a certain amount of Bitcoins to mine.

It's a gamble. Nobody can say for sure when it's the best moment to sell.

Re: As the price of a single bitcoin gets further and further out of reach.....

Nobody told you to buy whole Bitcoins... right? Buy what you can afford, until you have bought whole BITCOINS. One thing that might happen,

would be, that existing hoarders will exit the scene when the price increase after the approval of the ETF and then rich Wall street investors will

buy those coins and speculate with them. You would still be able to buy smaller amounts or Satoshi's.  Roll Eyes

This exactly. Depending on what your definition of rich is, you don't have to buy 1 whole bitcoin to be rich. But then again, you don't have to own any bitcoin or satoshi to be rich.

I don't own 1 btc yet. It is somewhat my goal but I don't have a set time or plan for when I will own 1 btc. Bitcoin is just something I like to do in my free time. The last year or so have been really busy for me with college and stuff. I'm trying to focus on that and whenever I'll have time, I'll show up here from time to time.

I think bitcoin will reach $500 again before halving comes around.
Bitcoin is already so close to reaching this amount.

I personally believe that any time is good to buy if you can afford it.
If you can't, you can just hold on to whatever you got and sell later for a higher price.

I would have to choose bitcoin. Just because of the fact that there's less hassle to it.
Rather than dealing with a bank.

I don't like to keep up with it since I play for pure entertainment.
So there's really no need to for me, whatever I spend on gambling is a certain amount that  I can afford to lose.

That's a lot of bitcoins to win. But this really just depends on how much the player already spend.
If he/she spend up to 2000btc then they are just far away from winning.

Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin.
by

For me it's hard to spend bitcoin when not a lot of merchants accept bitcoin in the first place.
I try to use bitcoin as payment as much as I can but sometimes this is just not possible.

Some people maybe saving and storing their money in bitcoin as an investment and for their future.
I don't think it really matters what people do with their bitcoins, whether they store it, invest it or spend it is totally up to them.

I place whatever I don't use on an offline wallet, I think that's the safest way to keep your coins safe.
Whatever I do use, I have a small amount on an online wallet.

The value rising in bitcoin is always a good thing. It's best to hold on right now and buy if you can.
Halving is coming closer and closer, who knows where that will take the bitcoin value.

I think bitcoin will be available as payment way more than it is now in 10 years.
Hopefully by then more people would have adapted to bitcoin as well.

It's quite possible that this is true and you do have a point here.
But the more demand there is for bitcoin, since there is limited supply the value of bitcoin can only go up this way.

Re: How too get rich
by
Gloober
on 14/02/2016, 17:13:20 UTC
You can't get rich with a blink of an eye. You gotta find a way to make profits, set up a business that's unique or doesn't exist yet.
Invest into the things you believe in, money will keep rolling in sooner or later. Keep working hard.
