AMD are faster on ethash and cryptonight. Thats more than half used mining hashpower per algo/gpu. Nvidia didn't die because it's slower on most popular algo - ethash. I don't see any reason.

Check if your GPU voltage decreases to 840mv , because some GPU have one voltage regulator so mem/gpu voltage need stay in same range or higher value will be applied to both mem and core

ETH have way more possibilities than BTC. BTC is now only holding value like gold, while ETH is like like working factory. Theres way more possibilities for ETH. BTC was first and thats only make it strong.

I was curious what happend with difficulty today, it was huge drop for all coins. Now that explains. If u disable updates normal ways, then they will come, becasue windows defender will restore your changes to allow updates.

Try disabling all SATA and ALL usb ports, and see what happend.

How come all VERGE mining pools have tons of orphans blocks. ~1/3 network hashrate is wasted

I did some tests with antminepool, 30500MH/s (24 hours of stable mining) , I did receive 145 XVG , whattomine says it should be 162. Seems orphans.

There is no such coin. If one coin is more profitable than other, then it attract more miners, difficulty raise and you end up with lower yelds which make profit same like other coins.
1000$  is not worth to start any mining for having worth income, it may be more like having fun from mining, but not money.

Windows wallet not syncing, i did rescan , but wallet app still not connecting. Added nodes but didnt change anything.
Any hints ?

I have problem with Windows wallet, using bitcoinz-windows-wallet_1.1.0.4_win64
Wallet starts and attempt to connect. I see there 1 connection and it's dropping to 0 after some secounds.
I tried removing directory with blocks, it worked but only for first run after doing it. It started to synchronize, connected to 8 peers.
Took like 1-2 hours to make it 100%, then imported private key, seem it worked fine.
However after closing wallet client, problem with dropping connection happend again.
Every time I want to access wallet, I have to resync from zero. It worked fine for 1 month. Any hints ?
