Volunteers

Sources tell me only Rijk gets the moolah, the rest work for decentralisation.

I am buying back in , with the reward changes taking place and fairness between Gulden and Novo.

Gulden community you all deserve to go to heaven, you are the best, nicest and most patient people I have met

I consider myself a long term investor but after the reward increases without future compensation was made, I was out. The community that stayed deserve a medal, real loyalty that was displayed because there is other options for investments. 1000s of other cryptos, stocks, property, gold etc
You have to think about the investor in all decisions because the devs and investors need each other to make this work. The devs leave, that's ok investors cut their losses and move onto the next investment, the investors leave, that's ok the devs can start something new. To make Gulden work fair deals must be made, not one sided.

We all human and mistakes can be made, the increase in rewards was probably done in panic mode because of funding. The fact the team is now self correcting through advise from the community gives me great hope and why I am buying this coin again. Development has always been good but a few decisions set Gulden back a few years.

Community is strong these days. Lots of work is done to promote Gulden and first time focus on new exchange listings.

Max supply dropped from 1.68 billion to 750 million and reward drop coming in August but if it does not come in August the faster we get to 750 million supply and the faster the reward halvings will have to come. It's a win win.

In 6 years people will wish they purchased Gulden in 2021.

It's pretty sadge that we have no clarity on the above. It's poor form to keep people in limbo status on what is seemingly a easy decision to make.

I saw on Twitter the Gulden community is going for another exchange. I am trying to get on slack to ask how serious this is and how much of the dev trough is contributing to the listing on bitvavo. I was a martyr on the slack banhammer but I hate to say it, the boys are making the right calls. I change my trading range from 40 - 50 to 50 - 60sat. Don't forget the 160 reward is still pumping out every block. Nothing has changed besides the max supply but the supply glut is still continuing each block.

51% attack is very possible at this stage as the devs have taken a month to see if the block chain is safe. Think about this if you on the fence about dumping.

Must say the sentiment on Gulden Slack is so much better with you gone.
So the issue must have been you as a toxic person.
You could always send some funds to the Kickstarter we made for Bitvavo:

GJRPTU32pLgVVSLKCNzEraUvSGGipzW5PW

Maybe that’s your ticket back in to slack. Otherwise it could be that you are doomed to this toxic semi-inactive platform. With your profit filled bag it has to be a generous donation, though your toxic opinions do fit perfectly in here.

Best regards,

I will donate once confirmation on the reward changes are in. I don't want to risk too much like the developers rightfully don't want to risk putting the blockchain in a vulnerable position.

When the real impact of the reward changes are felt the price will move up. The increase we have seen is long term investors having a buy and walk away policy because they know in 10 years time over 90% of the coins mined and half way through the 30 reward period.

Price range 60 - 90 with small dips and highs either way. Big improvement from one month ago.

I see this as the trading range until the halving announcement or a new exchange listing.

I also invested in whitecoin and it's gone up a lot in value from 0.018 to $2.68 in peak. This trading remind me of whitecoin before it went much higher. Whitecoin has 742 million supply with max supply of 1 billion but reward is only 10 per block but blocks are fast and about 60 reward when Gulden has 160 in 150s.

The reward is meant to drop in August to 120 and 60 in 2024 or 2025.
The developers have to approve the change as it was requested by the community but Rijk looks confident it will be ready for August.
The max supply for Gulden is now 750 million, was changed from 1.68 billion two weeks ago.

The whole point of the reward drops is to establish higher lows after a new high is formed. This is why I asked how long the developers will take to confirm the changes, if it takes 4 years to make a decision they will be forced to increase the max supply and you will lose 100s of investors in the process. Rijk did respond and all we can do is trust until the decisions are made.

Agreed.

Maybe some wait untill the decision is final but inpersonally thing this is the time to stock up on realtively cheap Gulden to fill some witness accounts

This coin has had a long bear market, and you can imagine how many people want out because it's gone up a little. It will take time to shake these people out before the price can move substantially higher. This is natural and healthy, you will already start to notice the dips are taking longer because those dumper are not all able to get back in with the same amount of Gulden as before.

The coin is at a good price, more weak hands will come as we move slightly higher

Witness sync is finished in 4 years. I have insider info.

Frusty the clown. Fuddy the clown. Nobody buys this bs.

I noticed a dump on the market after my post. Traders are selling my BS.

It was an old gulden account on bittrex not traders.

A few older accounts selling. After a 3 year dead market it's expected. When the reward adjustments are in we can make them regret they sold. Hold tight!

Interesting discussions after I was here last time. Some Bitcointalk slang too, of course, but that's part of the game.

I just wanted to clarify what exactly the plan is regarding the supply and reward adjustment.

As you can see on Github, the supply adjustment is already in the code, so only the rewards / halving needs to be added. We are following the advisory board and our intention is to adopt this adjustment as well. However, we need to find out what the possible consequences of this drastic change are. That has nothing to do with our opinion. Our job is to do what the majority of users (community) want.

What we need to find out is, above all, the Witness/Mining ratio. In the design of Witness, no account was taken of a situation where Witness gets more than Miner. Economically that may be very good, but in terms of security and stability it should be too. We are going to look into that and if it turns out that there are significant risks then we will feed that back to the Advisory Board. If there are no significant risks, we will, of course, implement the change. This has nothing to do with the dev reward, which can be adjusted.

At the moment we are in the middle of the Witness Sync development, which will mean a huge improvement in terms of synchronisation. We hope to be able to test it this month and start working on the reward topic immediately after Witness Sync.

This research will not take months and the implementation in the code is not very complex. The change is planned for August.

At Novo, such changes have already been made and will come into effect around the summer. The reason why the change was made so easily there is mainly because Novo is still very small. So if something still needs to be changed, it can be done easily. We often test something with Novo first, and then apply it to Gulden. That is the advantage of being able to efficiently maintain two projects.

Thanks for your clarification on this subject.

Lets give the weak hands time to sell before the next move up.

Technical analysis youtube blog Doopie just calculated that if 114 sat is reached, price will propell to over 209 sat

Not possible until we have certainty from the developers on the future reward programme, for all we know they will take 4 years to make the change and will say sorry for you but we have to increase the max supply. Then we have been conned by the devs.

What potential future price does Gulden have? My 2 witness accounts are earning good for every time I find a block.

When the developers confirm the future reward programme and people have more certainty, I expect a rise to syscoin levels as the coins have similar characteristics in terms of supply and development.

Yeah hardfork is planned in august i read on Blockfolio

August is only 4 months away. Price can stay the same for next 4 months, no need for panic buying until after the halving.

We have 3 months to buy before first reward change?

I have looked at a lot of coins in the last month and all have had very good runs except this coin when it comes to price. This is the only coin i feel safe investing in with the market steaming hot for other cryptos. Collapse will come soon but I sense this coin can maintain its value.
