Odd, I've always done static builds and never had issues with dll files missing.

Could you check if it says what dll file is missing?
All needed libs should be compiled into the .exe itself.

Is there any info in the debug.log ?  ( %appdata%/Leafcoin directory )

What error are you getting?

Started working on possible switch to PoS today.
Still in investigative phase, to see if we can manage to switch to PoS on a new codebase and keep the chain intact.

Too bad the sell pressure is so high on YoBit that trading against BTC is near impossible..

Back in the days we had quite some trading against LTC pair on Cryptsy.
On Cryptopia we can also trade against LTC ( and DOT/DOGE/ and some others )

I've been accumulating small amounts of LEAF over the last couple weeks on Cryptopia as they're so cheap, and generate some trading volume over there.

We're going to investigating best way to switch to PoS, but with keeping some sort of Pow in toe coin to make sure 100% PoS won't kill the chain when noone keeps their wallet open for staking.

It's something we can think of. We'll have to decide which way we're going to try to do this.

We could modify the current codebase and add PoS and fork. Or we could start a PoS coin on a new codebase and do a coin swap.
I'll discuss it with the rest of the team soon.

I personally think this is awesome... trading against multiple coins makes it possible to buy and sell when trading against BTC is a bit locked to 1sat.

What error do you get when unpacking. I've tried both and boh unpack and work for me.

We're still working on that, takes a bit more time that expected. 

It's one of the things we're looking at that we might do in the future...

It's quite hard to fight against coins with bigger and active communities.

The next couple weeks we're going to work the LeafCoin Android Wallet and after that the MultiLeaf Wallet.
We're hoping to get listed on some other exchanges meanwhile.. and get the community back on track

Copy the contents of the zipfile into %appdata%\Leafcoin

OSX:

Copy the contents of the zipfile into ~/Library/Application\ Support/Leafcoin/

If you didn't know already, Cryptsy is probably closing down because of a "hack"
So if you still have coins over there, better try to get them out of there asap.

LeafCoin isn't on trade yet on any other exchange, we're working on that.

It states "This is old version of the source" yes, because the team back then started on porting the code to MVS but never finished.
The github should be corrected with right readme info file.
We'll fix that soon.

It is the correct gitgub, we're still running multiple nodes from that source.
