Re: Baikal Giant+ How to change clock frequency (overclock)

I've concluded that since the Baikal runs Qubit algo cooler and pulls less watts, (also that it runs very smoothly without errors on the algo), that overclocking the unit should work well. It appears it can be adjusted via the "Terminal", but requires a password to make such a change. The password appears to be controlled by Baikal as the password required is NOT Baikal. If someone knows how to get that password that'd be swell Y'all....

You can access the terminal by, user: baikal Pass: baikal. However, I don't know how to get in the cgminer.conf file. Maybe you folks can figure that out?

I think I know how to get into the config file, but I don't know what can be done from there.

You can use a program like filezilla to access files on the machine.
Host: sftp://your.miner.ip
Username: baikal
Password: baikal

File location: /opt/scripta/etc/miner.conf

I'm not sure I know what password Jrockinyou is talking about.

There is a custom miner setting you can use: baikal-options (format is clock:temp). Setting something like 250:45 allows you to throttle the clock down to 250 Mhz, but 350:45 does not allow it to increase past 300.

Hopefully, we can put our heads together and figure this out, but it's possible the upper limit is hard-coded into their sgminer binary.

Thank you, that should help to dig into the files. I'm trying to find that ''root'' cg or sg miner conf file, which where we can play around a lot. I hope there won't be a layer of hardcoded stuff above it.

Hi folks, im kinda new in mining the quark algorithm. I got a miner to work, but my MEU wallet for windows won't update or connect. Common problem?

Hi,
you can pull the chain bootstrap from : https://muex.io/Bootstrap
and in your config file add:
    seednode=nodes.muex.io
    seednode=weminemue.com
    addnode=nodes.muex.io
    addnode=weminemue.com

Or In your Wallet Debug Console key-in:
    addnode nodes.muex.io add
    addnode weminemue.com add

that should solve it for you and if you have any issues, you can get prompt support @ https://mueslack.herokuapp.com/
Cheers

Thanks alot!
