Im 99% sure that Peter Schiff is a big troll and he's definitely holding a lot of Bitcoins.. Every time he tweets about "BTC collapse", this is the time when it bottoms!  Cheesy

Trying to read some posts of this topic from the beginning (~2013) will bring you nostalgia and make you nervous. Though, if you insist and decide to search you will find charts that are from sub $100/btc.  Smiley
Now at 50k a lot of things have changed but one hasn't changed and I'm not sure if it will ever change. It's the people reactions after every correction.
You will see people panic and trying to log in the exchange to sell their coins. Of course, I'm not saying that selling isn't good. If nobody was selling, then we wouldn't be able to buy but I am just saying that they haven't learned the game yet and I don't believe that they will ever will..

Re: USDT | TUSD | BUSD | USDC - What are the differences?
by
GreekCoiner
on 17/02/2021, 00:12:46 UTC
Like USDT which is the most liquid and offshore, all the others are just being issued by different companies. There are more stablecoins with lower market cap and there is also the DAI for example which is decentralized and is minted (created) by locking collateral in MakerDAO platform.

Almost all of them are running as ERC20 tokens but some of them are running in multiple blockchains like OMNI layer (bitcoin), TRC20 (tron), Algorand, EOS, Binance Chain etc.

These coins are actually backing the whole crypto market and without them I'm not sure if we would be above 200 Billion USD total crypto market cap now.

Re: Shall I HODL DOGE?

Doge is more like a meme coin. Its project is inactive and people like Elon are actually trolling every time they talk about it.
IMO, if you have a good entry just hold it! Who knows? Maybe it can pump more in the future.

Re: Will game companies adopt NFTs in the future?
by

Of course they will! They can't do else. The only problem right now is the scalability issues of most projects like Ethereum for example. Once the NFTs party begins, everyone will want to jump in IMO.

It was undervalued and I had some nice profits with it but now its price has increased a lot. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it now. Just wait for a nice retrace. Even if it goes higher, the risk and reward ration isn't the best.

Just stop blindly follow Elon. He's trolling all the time. People like him with so much money can do whatever they want. He's just trolling in twitter and some people think he's talking seriously.

The so called DeFis are such scams. I can't understand how people keep putting their money in such buggy smart contracts which most of them are copy/paste of other smart contracts without any audit and no insurance fund.

Almost all of these defi shitcoins created only for speculation. They won't solve any problem. Guys just avoid locking your saving there. These high APY returns don't worth the risk.

Re: Bitcoin is 100% faith
by
GreekCoiner
on 15/02/2021, 01:38:24 UTC
Bitcoin is based on trust. If trust is lost then it will collapse. Trust depends on various things like mining, crypto exchanges solvency, Tether solvency and of course people.
It is like a trust token. If people trust to hold it and transact with it, they actually give it value.
The faith is about holding it and not selling it when its price increases. Still, a lot of people will take some profits when it goes very high. That's something normal.

Re: Is investing in crypto a good idea?
by

It's simple. You invest $1000. Coins goes to $0, you loose 1000 usd but if it does 5x, you have +4000 usd profit. The risk and reward ratio must be good if you want to put money in something.

Such alts have no use cases except that they are been used by pump and dump groups. Seriously, they have no use cases. It's all about speculation so people will take their profits and move on another alt. That's what is happening on every bull run.
Of course, Im not saying that it won't go higher. I'm just saying that I wouldn't trust my money in such tokens.

You don't have to wait or something. It's simple. If you don't want your transaction to be verified fast and pay these extreme fees, just select a low value like 60-70 gwei or lower, send the transaction and once gas price falls low, your transaction will be confirmed.

Re: KYC is dangerous and useless.. but Monero partially solves that.
by
GreekCoiner
on 07/02/2021, 22:39:42 UTC
I think that KYC can be dangerous only when they can't safely store and protect users private data. But you can't call it as useless since it is important to avoid fraud, multiple accounts creation spam, scams, hacks etc.

For example, in Bitmex at the past when the market was moving the servers were overloading and people couldnt place orders. That was happening not only because of the high volatility but also because some people were using many accounts to spam low size orders and cause overload to the server resulting in huge wicks and massive liquidations. Once bitmex implemented KYC, these overload issues vanished.

Re: CRV - The most undervalued DEX in DeFi
by
GreekCoiner
on 07/02/2021, 20:53:42 UTC

The price is rising because Curve is being used more than ever before. The demand will only increase as institutions and banks get involved in this space and need platforms for stablecoin swaps. Curve is positioned as the market LEADER for stablecoin swaps and that is huge... not to mention they are adding regular pools for all other ERC20 pairs soon + zcash pools on Curve

Yes but there are so many DEX based stablecoins swap projects and you can also do that through Uniswap. Since CRV is open source project, it isn't difficult to fork it and create something similar.

About institutionals and banks, they have no reason to do that via DEXs. IMO, they are using centralized exchanges which have more liquidity and security plus the fact that they can hide their tracks since their trades and deposits are not visible like they are in Ethereum blockchain.

Re: What do you think about DASH coin? Could see the ATH Again?
by
GreekCoiner
on 07/02/2021, 20:44:59 UTC
If you see, many coins have done 10-40x from their lows and I can say that it is possible to see many of them reaching their ATHs if the bull market continues.

About DASH, its ATH was 1640 USD and now it is 117. Due of the fact that DASH is an alt with very big market cap and it is still minable with 50% of its supply to have been mined, it means it still has inflation and it is very difficult to hit ATH any time soon in my opinion.

A lot of people are buying because of the Launchpad. Don't forget that you need to hold BNB so you can be able to participate in IEOs.
