05.02.2023 - Update zum Blockchain-Hack
Das Team der Deutschen eMark arbeitet gemeinsam mit dem Entwicklerteam von Communitycoins an einer schnellen Lösung des Hacks.
Folgende Parameter für den Restart wurden bis jetzt festgelegt
-Bereinigung der Blockchain alle illegal erzeugten Coins werden isoliert
-Übertrag aller legalen Coins (ca. 110 Mio.) auf eine neue Blockchain, die mit Block 1 beginnt
-Das Datum des Forks wird noch bekannt gegeben. Bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt werden alle Transaktionen, Mining- und Staking Rewards auf der aktuellen Blockchain nach dem Fork sichtbar sein, mit Ausnahme der Transaktionen, die aus dem Hack stammen. Kurze Zeit nach dem Fork wird die neue Software zur Verfügung gestellt, um die neue Blockchain mit etwa 500 Blöcken zu konfigurieren.
-Alle Wallet-Adressen und Private Keys behalten Gültigkeit
-Änderung des Source-Codes PoW/PoS mit 50 DEM und Halving nach 500.000 Blöcken
-Bereitstellung einer neuen Core-Wallet Version für Windows, Mac und Linux
-20 Mio. DEM aus dem Hack werden auf mehrere Adressen überwiesen, die vom Core-Team verwaltet werden. Dieses Budget für Marketing und Development wird wie folgt verwendet.
-4 Mio. DEM für das Communitycoins Team für den Support und Promotion aller Communitycoins

Das Deutsche eMark Netzwerk wurde gehackt. In Block 4.074.934 (19. Okt. 2022) wurden in einem POW-Block 1.005.025,48111 DEM aus dem "Nichts" geschaffen. Dies wurde durch eine Transaktion verursacht, die 50 DEM als Input und zwei Outputs von 502.512,74 DEM bzw. 502.512,74111 DEM verwendete, wodurch sich der DEM-Bestand um mehr als eine Million DEM erhöhte. Der Bestand an DEM betrug zu diesem Zeitpunkt 109.375.526,136159 DEM. Der Hack wurde 16 Mal wiederholt und Mitte Januar 2023 betrug die Menge an DEM 277.753.695,558915 DEM.
Da die DEM-Blockchain gründlich beschädigt war, bestand die einzige Lösung darin, ein neues Kryptowährungsnetzwerk zu schaffen und alle Coins aus dem alten Netzwerk in das neue zu übertragen, mit Ausnahme der Coins, die unrechtmäßig in das Netzwerk gelangt waren. Eine weitere Überlegung betraf die Wahl der Technologie. Sollten wir die alte Software reparieren oder eine neue Technologie verwenden. Obwohl der Hack die Blockchain bereits drei Monate lang befallen hat, wäre es verheerend, wenn es Monate dauern würde, die neue Technologie zu implementieren, sie zu kennzeichnen, die Community darauf aufmerksam zu machen und sie zu schulen. Noch wichtiger ist es, das Image der Widerstandsfähigkeit und Beständigkeit der Kryptowährung aufrechtzuerhalten. Die ursprüngliche Software ganz aufzugeben wäre eine Kapitulation und ein zeitaufwändiger Prozess gewesen. Die Lösung war daher die Konzentration auf einen schnellen, aber soliden Patch und eine Säuberung der Blockchain.
Bereinigung bedeutet zunächst, dass die illegalen Transaktionen und ihre Verbreitung in der Blockchain isoliert werden und dass alle anderen Coins auf eine neue Blockchain übertragen werden, die mit Block 1 beginnt. Das bedeutet, dass die gesamte Historie in der alten Umgebung DEM-1 verbleibt und DEM-2 als schlanke, aber leistungsfähige Blockchain startet. Die Nutzer können ihre Wallets weiterhin verwenden, während alle Schlüssel gültig bleiben.

The Deutsche eMark team is working together with the Communitycoins development team on a quick solution to the hack.
The following parameters for the restart have been set so far.
-Cleaning up the blockchain - all illegally generated coins will be isolated
-transfer of all legal coins (approx. 110 million) to a new blockchain starting with block 1
- The date of the fork will be announced - till that moment the results of all payments, mining and staking in the current chain will be visible after the fork, except payments that stem from the infrigement. A small time after the fork the new software will be made available to allow us to configure the new main chain with about 500 blocks
-All wallet addresses and private keys remain valid
-Change of the source code - PoW/PoS with 50 DEM and halving after 500,000 blocks
-Launch of a new core wallet version for Windows, Mac and Linux
-20 million DEM from the hack will be transferred to several addresses managed by the core team. This budget for marketing and development will be used as follows.
-4 million DEM for the Communitycoins team for support and promotion of all communitycoins
-Further development of the Core Wallet
-New Mobile Wallets
-Expansion of the development team
-Expansion of the social media team
-Marketing campaigns
-DEM adaptations
-Exchange listings
-Other costs such as block explorer, websites, servers, IT security
-Compensation for lost coins, if necessary
-Compensation for donors who donated for the "restart of the DEM".
The addresses of the "community wallets" will be publicly announced so that maximum transparency is guaranteed.

Additional information about the hack
The Deutsche eMark network was hacked. In block 4074934 (19th oct 2022) 1,005,025.48111 DEM was created out of "nothing" in a POW block. It was caused by a transaction that used 50DEM as input and two outputs of 502,512.74 DEM and 502,512.74111 DEM respectively, increasing the outstanding amount of DEM with more than one million. The amount of outstanding DEM at that time was 109,375,526.136159 DEM. The hack has been repeated 16 times and by mid januari 2023 the amount outstanding was 277,753,695.558915 DEM.
Because DEM blockchain was thoroughly damaged the only solution was to create a new cryptocurrency network and to transfer all property form the old network to the new except for the property that illegally entered the network. Another consideration was the choice of technology. Should we repair the old software or use new technology. Although the hack already infested the blockchain for three months it would be devastating if it took months to implement new technology, to brand it, to make the community aware of it and to train them. More important even is to maintain the image of resistancy and durability of cryptocurrency. Abandoning the orininal software all together would be a capitulation and a time consuming process with the risk of losing all traction that still exists. So the choice was to leave innovation where it belongs: The near future and to concentrate on a speedy but solid patch and a cleansing of the blockchain.
Two other provisions were elaborated. Cleansing first means that the illegal transactions and their propagation in the blockchain are isolated and that all other possessions are transferred to a new blockchain starting with block 1. That means that all history is left in an old environment DEM-1 and that DEM-2 starts as a lean but performant blockchain. Users can continue to use their wallets while all keys remain valid.

Hi new here but is there not a way to cancel that block 4074934 (19th oct 2022) 1,005,025.48111 DEM, I mean others have done it like Dev team of WDC Worldcoin, did something to counter the hackers you should ask many dev teams have had similar incidences and worked around the coins, I know DEM is kind of low in BTC Sat Value but even at 1 that is over 10 BTC. Just trying to help as I can.
