You're obviously someone who hasn't been around since the start, or you would know that many made a lot of money on GreenBacks. It wasn't like the ICOs that just plummeted. Or final ICO price was 568 satoshis, within 10 days it had reached 3600 satoshis, and it stayed in 1000s for over a month. If people did not make money on the coin that is their fault as a bad trader. As the developer we are not responsible for when people buy and sell.

We're sorry but you guys are totally out of line for the assumptions you all are making. "Dishonest", we have been up front about everything we have ever done, and still continue to be. As for the btc, we've said from the start that it is for development and costs. We've been working on this coin almost full-time for 4 months at this point, and what, everyone just expects that developers can afford to work on their coins full-time for free? That is completely unreasonable. Yes, there are some scams with devs who create a coin and just run away, but we have been here this whole time. Even in this time where we can longer commit ourselves, we are working to ensure that our investors don't get screwed over. We're currently working on the takeover, and when it is finished you will have the news about who will now be running the coin. We've never left you guys hanging, but you all are so quick to crucify us.

We'll need escrow to transfer the stabilization fund. We've delivered all the projects promised on the roadmap, Our team have dedicated countless hours designing, developing, managing and giving support to the greenbacks community. The team that takeover the project will not receive ICO funds, they will turn over all the developed services of Greenbacks and will go ahead from there. We didn't want to just giveaway a bunch of coins to get people into the community because we felt that would dilute the coin and it's price. We wanted to go the route of getting people to talk about GB, so we worked to get press releases, and try to stir up twitter. Something like a poker site is one thing we focused on heavily, but that developer ran away with the money, and that was after about 3 weeks or so of working with him. The PR maybe could have been better, but if the community had the spread this coin to the people they know and so on, that would make a much bigger impact than anything we could have done. In hindsight things always look clearer though, so I'm not going to say we couldn't have done it better.

We did deliver the android wallet, sorry if you missed the news. Talking about community involvement, look through this thread, for the past two months we were averaging maybe 2 posts per day by people in the community. That proves that the community is not involved. The developers should not be the single force relied on to make a coin succeed, we mention this many times in our whitepaper. It is stated that we expect the community to be involved, work with us, help in developments, none of that happened. The only two times it did, one guy got hacked and never posted in here again, the other ran away with the money we paid him. Even now, you're the only person who has posted in this thread over the past 12ish hours, how does look?

As we have said too, we never wanted to leave the coin to die, we want someone to take it over. As a community member, instead of complaining at us, maybe you could help us find people to take it over. Don't think we're not trying, we've been messaging people on twitter, but no one is responsive. As a whole nothing is happening in the altworld, and it cannot support us long-term.

As a note, we have done everything we guaranteed in the whitepaper, and we tried to work with the community to get ideas for the past two months. Sadly, no one comments in this thread. The only time anyone is commenting is now, and it is not good to see that people only talk in here when things are bad. We speak very heavily of how this coin had to be a community coin to survive in cryptos, but we never got that at all. Everyone left after the first 2 weeks. We've done everything we can for this coin, and been very honest throughout. Also, realize it is not $41,000. We have spent a good deal of money on outside development with the android & mobile app, failed poker site, buying for the stabilization fund, and promoting. Then take the remaining amount and split it between two. We were not trying to get the money and just run, that is why we have given this everything we have. At this point though, neither one of us have enough money to continue leaving off GreenBacks.

Yes, it is Dec 10th. Kind of surprised nobody has applied. We legitimately do not have time to bring forth developments for this coin. We've done a lot, and delivered a lot, but in order to provide for our family, we have to work a real job. Sadly this could not turn into something that could provide for us, as nothing in crypto is succeeding truly.

If no one does apply, then we strongly encourage the community to work on a community takeover.

We both have taken on full time jobs with companies, and this project isn't getting the support it needs. Rather than watch it continue to lose support, we hoping to get it back up and running. So what we will do is an interview process to determine a new individual (developer) or team, to take over the coin completely. The community will decide on who they want to take it over, and we will host voting once we have entries.

We want people to bring in new ideas to the coin, and discuss those ideas in the plan. We're looking forward to seeing who applies.

As a community member, what do you think is an appropriate time? We felt that 1 week was ample time. Anyone involved in the coin should see this thread within a week, if they take longer than they probably do not really care.

This is really not a fair comment towards us, as we have done more than 95% of other coin developers. We put everything we had into this coin consistently, and wanted it to work out for the best. We delivered developments throughout, and we are now trying to bring someone in who can give this coin more than we can. The purpose of us stepping down is so this coin does not have slow developments, we want to see it grow with a new team. The unfortunate reality is that we have families, and putting full-time work into this coin cannot provide for them, as we were hoping it may have. That is why we are working, and why we cannot commit ourselves to GreenBacks. We have really enjoyed working on this coin, and have worked extremely hard to be some of the most honest development team in cryptos. We have received support from other coin developers who respect how we have operated, and that means a lot. The application submission will end Dec 10th, so please send us your applications.

We don't think this should be seen in a negative light at all. As apparent, development has slowed done dramatically, we have still worked to bring forward new things, but it is taking too long. The reason is the time commits that we no longer have available. The positive part is that we will work to bring someone worthy who can bring new life into GreenBacks. That is the goal, and hopefully it is achieved by this interview process. Maybe GreenBacks can get back on it's feet if the right person comes along. Other coins have done this and seen much success.
