Stealthcoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=681725.0 rips VeriSend and VeriSms and claims all others are just copy of their "StealthSend, World's first anonymous SMS Tx!"

StealthSend is still on target to be released at the end of September. To protect our IP, we are pushing back the whitepaper to about 5 days before that time.

Wait, so vericoin copied something that was never released? How does that work?

So how long are we going to stay in the dark about the deal with this dev ?
If i understand correctly he wants about 500k vericoin to increase the price over 10 fold and will only get Paid After this is achieved ?
I dont understand why VRC holders arent breaking down his door begging him to take this Veri strange deal.
I would gladly give up 10% of my holding for a price increase to 100k sat simple math.If he should fail at least we gave it a shot and lost Nothing.
I dont understand the Hold up I dont believe that VRC (bag)holders are so short sighted that they cant see the oppurtunity here.
That 500k should be raised pretty damn Quick and Easy and deposited at some VERY Trusted Escrow'S.Take this Gdam god's send of a deal and lets get this train moving in the right direction again.

Its atm only 5k more then the Visa card if i had to Choose Id say welcome dev4.

I would not be surprised if the devs want to establish a few things before allowing a price hike. A pump could allow things to drop again, while a pump after utility and useability has been established is more likely to keep a price hike stable.

Since I had already wasted my time, here it is:

I like it.

Before it went public I would fix "infraestructure" and "Staggerinly".

Otherwise I think it would reach certain people. Smiley

In light of the recent VRC - MintPal fiasco, we can assure BritCoin adopters that there is no possibility of us compromising the sanctity of the blockchain and have a strict view on bailing out exchanges.  We believe this creates a dangerous precedent for the future of crypto currency and we firmly stand against the the notion of blockchain rollbacks.
Serious cognitive issues when investor fund recovery/return is touted as an establishment bailout.

I think this guy might have some anger issues....
Appears to be a multiple personality issue. Or more than one person at the keyboard.

If you implement credit to crypto, you're going to get defrauded left, right, and center...
You've heard of coin.mx right? They don't have that problem.

I would like an explanation but I'm sure it will not came, so that's why I've posted the printscreen of private message from the moderator.
I have a lot deleted as well. Doesn't bother me much, just figure there are some weird folks moderating.

Bobsurplus is trash who stole 22.5 bitcoins from the DCM IPO. He's a troll with no cred.

That is why he relentlessly defends the thief. (Unless of course he is the thief)

Maybe the fuds moved to these guys http://coinjoint.info/navajo-suffers-double-spend-attack/

Would be interesting for the admins to line up fud appearances to the threads of the coins that get hacked. If all names were different accounts coming from same IP ha.

I suspect we may see an innovation like this in the future. hardware wallets built into phones that cannot be rolled back.
Yep, much innovation to come as a result of Vericoin actions. As stated, they will change the ecosystem.

Who's going to take a chance and accept vericoin when they can choose one of the hundreds that would die at the first hack!!! You're radioactive!

Just my $0.000000002

Fixed. Cheesy

Fixed your spelling errors too. Shocked

The part where the thief loses.

well, ad hominem does always work when you can't say anything against the post itself Tongue
Sort of like FUD other coin threads works when your own coin can't float itself. Grin

People are getting caught up, Is it Mintpal's fault, Is it Vericoin's Fault. Has anyone with common sense aside from me thought. Hey its the HACKERS fault?
If the hacker is part of your "crew" then he is definitely not at fault. Cheesy

This is clear and rotund enough, isn't it? But what happens when "this" (the theft), happens again... and it WILL happen again? the same "concerned" individuals shout again and again...
This sounds to me like they are "working" on it.

What is interesting is that it had to happen through an established exchange rather than directly through a Vericoin service which they claim is so flawed.

So what I understand from FUD is that no other coin would attempt a recovery for their investors, and no other dev would attempt to save their coin in the case of a hostile takeover.

Man! I feel much better about the other coins now! Let me just dump millions into some other coin since they do it right and leave you hanging.

My new wallet shows my coin balance and history but is not synching.. On mac I went to Library/Application Support - and there is no Vericoin folder in there where I can keep the necessary wallet file. Even the old wallet never made it into the application support folder. In Mac Finder - Vericoin Wallet was (and still is) just an item i could eject like a memory stick. So now it has been synching a good 12 hours and nothing. Again, coins are showing but they are not staking and wallet is not synching.

Please Help
My windows wallet was stuck syncing when I woke up. I backed up wallet.dat (just in case) and restarted wallet. It synced fine when it started. Staking resumed.
