Women are not idiots. If you want to get them involved tell/educate them about Bitcoin just like you would anyone else, but I guess you're trolling.

I take it you've never actually met a woman then?

To clarify, it doesn't take a lot of sellers to drop the price to $100, it only takes 1, and no buyer than is willing to buy >$100.

I just think it's going to be an interesting ride and having the nerves to hold 1 or 2 Bitcoin when the price exceeds the exchange equivalent of $1 million today will turn you into a superstar when it hits $1 Billion per coin after governments begin to store ownership rights of national assets within the blockchain.

So the market cap of BitCoin will be 21 million billion...?

21,000,000,000,000,000?

I still am not sure how you can afford power for 5 years as well as the equiptment etc. at this price.

A part of me thinks this might just be a system whereby you get back a fraction of what you put in each week, with the fraction being reduced, and never actually mining, just returning a large percentage of what was initially put in.

A risk we all take with cloud mining hey  Cool

Launch screen
Code:
screen
Hit space, then launch the miner; e.g.
Code:
./minerd -a keccak -o stratum+tcp://maxpool.1gh.com:17333 -u mRQmzB5nzqw4Lx1gvEF7uREBqPv5A6jBYJ -p x
ctrl+d detatches the current screen sessions and brings you back to the normal terminal,
you can re-attach your detached session by typing
Code:
screen -r

All done, have fun!

So to clarify, as putty is running, hashing away I press:

screen

[Enter]

[Space]

./minerd -a keccak -o stratum+tcp://maxpool.1gh.com:17333 -u walletaddress -p x

[Enter]

[Ctrl+D]

Then I can close putty and it will still run?

"cgminer is not recognized" in command prompt...?

Yes super noob here Cheesy

Tried upgrading my video card driver (ATI Mobility 5650 HD). No luck....

Hey guys, will this code work for 9600 GT?

It worked for my 650M but that is gen 3 I think so this code mightn't work for my 9600 GT too.

Any ideas?

cudaminer --algo=keccak -C 2 -L 128 -H 2 -l K1000x32 -i 0 -o http://127.0.0.1:8108 -O mGaMU4z9ciCttuXcDrKRKmDsdPeGNaTA8s:password

no that is bad

Cotcho try
cudaminer --algo=keccak -C 2 -L 128 -l F64x4

you don't need to put in -H
and your pushing that card way too fast !
notice the F not K
F is fermi kernel not k for kepler

anyway i wouldn't push it too much more than that..

Thanks for the reply Spoetnik.

So:

Quote
cudaminer --algo=keccak -C 2 -L 128 -l F64x4 -i 0 -o http://127.0.0.1:8108 -O mGaMU4z9ciCttuXcDrKRKmDsdPeGNaTA8s:password

Getting the same error Sad

Did you figure this out cotch? My other comp is a 9600 GT too so I'd like to know too.

Guys, I'm going to bed now.

Should I leave miner retrying on 1gh or when it eventually comes back will addresses/parameters have to be changed and my miner wont auto pick up again?

Anyone know what block was the last one to mature?

Is there a command you can use with maxcoind to display blocks you've found that aren't confirmed yet ?  When you first find a block if you're solo-mining, it won't show in your balance with 'maxcoind.exe getbalance'  I was wondering if there was a way to display the unconfirmed balance ?

Thanks

Maybe /maxcoind listtransactions

I config same you but it have some error "Unable to query CUDA driver version! Is an nVidia driver installed? "
[/quote]

I had that same problem last night fud.

You just need the latest driver for your card:

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/71706/en-us

That fixed it for me.
