What does this mean?
0: GSF 0 - ticket value confirmed 0xf0/16 after 5000 nonces

This is the code showing the testing of the ticket mask value set.
It's normally only 3 or 4 messages over the entire run, on a normal bitcoin pool so I left it in.

The ticket mask is the difficulty of work the chip returns over USB to cgminer.
A ticket mask of zero means return all 1 diff nonces.
A ticket mask of 0xf0 means return all 16 diff nonces.
It's using a CDF[Erlang] calculation to determine when enough nonces returned correctly, means the ticket mask is working correctly.

As per the code:
Code:
// ticket values, diff descending. List values rather than calc them
// end comments are how long (at 25 task/sec = 100 1diff nonce/sec) testing should take
//  and chance of failure,
//   though it will retry MAX_TICKET_CHECK times so shouldn't give up in the
//   exceedingly rare occasion where it fails once due to bad luck
// limit to max diff of 16 to ensure enough nonces are coming back to identify
//  status changes/issues with a single asic
static struct TICKET_INFO ticket_1397[] =
{
    { 16,   0xf0, 5000,  16.9,  15.9  }, // 800s Erlang=4.6x10-5 <- 16+ nonces
    {  8,   0xe0, 1250,   8.9,   7.9  }, // 100s Erlang=6.0x10-5
    {  4,   0xc0,  450,   4.9,   3.9  }, // 18s  Erlang=3.9x10-6
    {  2,   0x80,  150,   2.9,   1.9  }, // 3.0s Erlang=5.4x10-7
    {  1,   0x00,   50,   1.9,   0.0  }, // 0.5s Erlang=1.5x10-7 <- all nonces
    {  0  }
};

i.e. how many nonces returned gives a good idea that the ticket mask is actually working correctly.
i.e. at 5000 nonces at 16 diff (mask 0x0f) it's about a 1 in 21739 chance of it always returning correct nonces but the mask isn't working correctly,
but if in the rare case that happens, it will try again anyway

The aim of the ticket mask is to reduce the amount of unnecessary data over USB.
The new compacF code, however, also links it to the pool diff, to ensure it's not incorrectly higher than the pool diff.

Wow thanks! this is alot of idk info lol. Only thing is that nothing is wrong with the mining! Cool

Kano would have to tell you for sure, but I believe it's an artifact of some testing we did on a part of the protocol we weren't 100% sure about. It's nothing you need to worry on.
Cool thanx

Fan slows down when miners are connected? Miners aren't able to run full speed?

Probably your hub is underpowered.
Yepp the miners it must be the problem that orico is not good enugh anymore. But power a fan with USB is always slow.
But i found something interesting on Amazon Icstation Boost Converter MT3608 Mico USB DC 2V-24V to 5V-28V 2A , Voltage Regulator,Power Supply Step Up Module 3.3V 5V 6V 9V 12V to 5V 6V 9V 12V 24V this should work. found it on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6xlSUBCkhA

Just be aware that upping the voltage will up the draw from the 5v port. IIRC if you are 1A at 12V that would mean you are pulling 2-2.5A from the 5v side.
Ok i understand. I can take a Ipod charger or phone charger instead and connect thre usb to that  Huh

First question is, now when i got my new miner mining my NewPac go slow up and down from 100 too 187MHz i have a Orico 10 ports usb.
and things like this comes up on the NewPac
[2021-11-08 17:55:28.763] 1: GSH 0 - asic plateau: (3/3) 212.50MHz
[2021-11-08 17:55:28.763] 1: GSH 0 - plateau adjust: target frequency 275.00MHz
 -> 206.25MHz

what can this be?

So next question i wonder if you guys have any smart idea how to get a Noctua Fan A-series NF-A12x25 to go faster?
I have it connected with a usb to the Orico usb hub that i have my miners connected to but when connected to a usb it cant go so fast RPM. I still want to have the Noctua because its super quiet.

Any idea how to boost the RPM?

Searching like crazy and find nothing  Huh
Added the details:
https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer/blob/master/mac-build.txt

(and at the bottom of https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5355470.60)
Thank you so much it works now.

Re: Raspberry PI

Has anyone successfully used the Raspberry PI  for mining.
You simply use an RPi as a controller for mining Bitcoin with USB miners.
It wont make you a fortune (or probably not even a profit) but you simply get some GekkoScience USB ASIC miners like here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053833.0
It doesn't appear either of the retailers mentioned in the ANN thread have the USB miners in stock/for sale. Even without this pesky little detail, the default settings allow each of these miners to mine at 23 GH/sec, and at current difficulty/price, that works out to be about $2.75 per year in total mining revenue. It appears some settings can be changed so that the miner can get up to 90 GH/s, which works out to about $10.77 per year in total revenue. Before accounting for cooling costs, and costs associated with having many USB ports for these to connect to (and associated electric costs), you can't pay more than about 0.062/KWH to turn any profit with those miners.
And if the USB ASIC mine $10 in BTC on the pool for one year. You will be lucky if you can withdrawal it too a wallet.

Hello... What is this? Mining with a NewPac
                                          GSH 0: missing nonces
 [2021-04-16 20:55:27.766] GSH 0: Toggling ASIC nRST to reset
 [2021-04-16 20:55:30.335] GSH 0: setting frequency to 275.00MHz

Its trying to set the freq to 275. What setup are you using? What hub? What OS?
Ok, i have Orico 10 Port Aluminium Super Speed USB 3.0 Hub - Black A3H10, one newpac one bi*fury one redfury but cgminer do not detect the old miners so i run them on bfgminer. a Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM connected to the hub. OSX High Sierra.

Why is there no Germany: mine to de.ckpool.org:3333 on this new page?
And i did a ping test to both germany and us pool and both gives me 108 ms, is that good?

The pool no longer has a server in Germany, only one in the U.S, however, o_solo_miner has a passthrough located in Germany

Code:
stratum+tcp://rfpool.org:3334

108ms is more than good, there is nothing to worry about.
Thanx dude!
