nob.pool.mn invites you to mine NobleCoin! 0% fee!
At pool.mn branded pools you will enjoy 0% fee and 100% uptime as ~2Gh/s worth of miners all over the world do!

+1
Hi i'm mining Noble in your pool and i feel all alone Cheesy

I'm having issue with wallet sync on win 8.1 , i added .conf file inside ...Roaming/Noblecoin dir and added to it all nodes that i found in the first page of this post but no active network connections in 10 minutes. what should i do ?

Hi Smiley

Haven't really had any problems getting the wallet to sync, make sure you have all of the nodes from the first page added (I use the debug window to add them)then try deleting the peers.dat file from in the appdata folder. I can probably get you a list of the nodes I use if it still isn't working.

Edit: was being dumb and didn't read that you had already added the nodes off the first page, try deleting the peers.dat file and then leave it for a while

deleted and waiting, 5 minutes and still 0 connections, i'll wait a bit more then i'll burn my laptop and this hotel with its damn ***** internet connection Cheesy
Maybe your firewall blocks connections to noblecoin-qt ?

Btw I heard Coinpayments.com is shutting down on March 31. Might need to start looking for a replacement.

wtf ? any info on that ?

Email I received earlier today:

Hello Guerilla,

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the closure of CoinPayments.net. FinCEN has ruled that Bitcoin is in their purview which would make us a money transmitter. We simply do not have the resources to register with FinCEN and most of the 50 states as a MSB and comply with all of the AML/KYC laws (and no realistic way to raise the funds to do so.)

The shutdown will happen in 3 stages:
1. We will stop accepting new user registrations effective immediately.
2. We will stop processing new transactions at 11:59:59 PM EST on March 24, 2014 (transactions already in progress at that time will be completed).
3. The website will otherwise remain operational until 11:59:59 PM EST on March 31st, 2014 when it will be shut down.

Any refunds due must be requested by the end of March 31st, 2014 and any funds held in your account withdrawn. Keeping the website open for a week from the last new transaction should give everyone ample time to wrap up their affairs in the site.

We extend our sincerest apologies to you and everyone else who has relied on CoinPayments for over 7 months,
MrData & pr0d1gy

OK so the new topic header threw me, This is the main Noble thread right?

Repost as I need help on this, 2 days mining wasted? I friggin hope not.

I have a problem, I think somehow my wallet address got changed. Can a wallet update overwrite the wallet.dat?

My original address was 9fKtNwPFaE5v8aCHC55CaqGzMoBtYrf4aP which was in my sig

But now my address is 9ktbGxdueFSoHWjr9eSQNsfPu8usCbixrJ just updated sig.

So After changing my pool back to my original address after I sent the coins for market purchase (which i thought was my only wallet address) I have been mining into the old one and it is not in my wallet.

As you can see I started using this address on 1/29
http://cryptexplorer.com/address/9fKtNwPFaE5v8aCHC55CaqGzMoBtYrf4aP

And the new wallet address started on 2/9

http://cryptexplorer.com/address/9ktbGxdueFSoHWjr9eSQNsfPu8usCbixrJ

Am I screwed?
Client update shouldn't affect your wallet.dat. Also I don't believe system restore will do much good, because it restores apps and OS related stuff mainly. It could work but you should backup your current wallet first before restoring just in case something goes wrong.

It was already premined; we don't need another negative attribute this early in the game

Premine isn't negative, it's reasonable, the dev uses it for giveaways, bounties, promotions...

Hey Huu, I'm no guru when it comes to the source but have been progressively learning. It is my understanding that line 854 of the main.cpp: static const int64 nTargetTimespan = 30 * 60; specifies re-target time. 60 seconds by 30 being 30 minutes (30 blocks at 60 seconds per). We've seen a number of new coins with this variable seeming to be stable and having no problems.

I do see what you're seeing in that the wallet re-calcuates each block as you do see a new difficulty with each block found. However on pools it specifically states and you can see that it attempts to re-calculate at estimated 30 block intervals. So we're also learning as you are how some of these aspects specifically work. I don't personally enjoy admitting some technical aspects are above me as we'd like to be all over it and understand every detail but there you go. I think NorrisK may be on to something.

Regarding the fluctuations - we had some big miners with 50Mh/s+ jump on and off over the last couple of days between us and others (perhaps Coinye) - so that was sending us from 1 to 3 difficulty a number of times.

Difficulty retarget seems to work correctly, and the fluctuations should ease once the network reaches high enough hashrate.

You can't mine right now. ValidError has >51%

What do you exactly mean? I currently mine at zapto pool and it works perfectly.

He got it fixed. Now I have to look at that damn screenshot agian for a week.
I don't think he fixed it.

He says that one pool reports him 7kh/s (it isn't accurate but it should be much higher), other pools don't report anything.
Typical low WU - high HW problem.

Your WU is too low, it should be around 90% of your Kh/s (atleast 350/m)., right now you are submitting about 11 Kh/s to the pool, and wasting electricity.
You should tweak your Intensity (-I) and Thread Concurrency (--thread-concurrency) until you reach optimal settings.
