hi guys is the project dead or worth to stake ?
Price fluctuates, of course, but coin is relatively stable. Huge potential is thwarted by either the dev's inefficient activity, or inactivity.

The project got enough traction and was supported by a lot of people. As I think this idea is interesting, there is a good team.
Thats not a fair assessment. If you read all pages in this thread, you'd see many mistakes were made by the one and only Dev. At the same time, the community was very impatient and harsh (with exeptions who had more reasonable expectations).
I'm going to be honest, it doesnt look well for RAIN. Is money to be made? Yeah sure. But the fundamentals of this project, although somewhat stabble opperations, are not great.
Yet, Dev could sillently be working on the next phase he layed out in the first pages of this thread, but who knows...
Also, from the very first posts in this thread he's been asking for other Devs to help him, even in his last communications. If help doesnt come, nothing changes.
One reason for help not to come is because Dev didn't keep his end of some deals he made with people helping out. And that can happen because its an one man show.
Best thing I think for Dev is to come clean once again and to allow people in who want to be of help. I want to help, but only if he's willing to share with the community.
In the meantime, lets keep it real.
I don't know the project in the same depth as you do, but I think you assess the situation correctly. And I add I find Condensate a great and unique project with the potential of becoming real big. But it'd be work-intensive to get there, and require a long-term dedicated team.

It annoys me to hear so little news on RAIN. Especially, since it's a project with such great potential. Does anyone know if there still is a team behind the dev? Personally I doubt it, because otherwise social media activity would be much more present.
What are sentiments here: is RAIN but a staking coin, like so many others, or should its real world use be developed?

Is anyone troubled by that fact they dont have a white paper yet?
The whitepaper was released in the discord or slack, maybe someone can post it here as I saw it on Twitter a while ago now but can't seem to find it sorry. Most of the activity is in these groups so you might be better off joining them, I personally don't join them because I don't have the time to join all these groups as I am in many different coins. I prefer to just come on this forum to get everything I need.
I'm all for reading it. I love the concept and seems like a good project, however it seems extremely odd the whitepaper isnt on their own website. That is first thing when it comes to validating a good coin from a shit coin. Sounds great, but honestly 808 Coin has a better whitepaper than Rain! I'm seriously surprised anyone has put money into this without that being available.
Yes I do agree that the whitepaper should be on their website, I don't believe the whitepaper that was released in the slack group was complete and was just a rough copy, maybe that is why it was not posted on their website. I'm not 100% sure as I'm not in the slack group but I hope someone from the group can post it in here for you to read.
The RAIN whitepaper that circulated in the slack was indeed an unfinished proposal. It is being worked on and when it gets published, RAIN price shall climb. I think this project is one to watch!
I've bought INS tokens almost a week ago, the transaction is on blockchain.info, I got a confirmation email from the INS platform, but still my balance shows zero coins... anybody else in the same situation?

Ive been part of this coin for a while now, active in the slack channel. Im sadly leaving this coin purely because of the owner/dev Objivest, hes is an utter disaster he refuses to communicate with anyone. If you check out his previous coin with a longer history than rain you will see there was a hostile take over of it due to what i can only assume was his utter incompetency. The whitepaper is a mess and has been in the works now for nearly 2 months with no future in site for its release.

I agree, communication from the dev is as good as non-existent. Still, RAIN has a lot of potential. The white paper you mention is a draft version and does need quite some work. But that is what draft versions are: work in progress. Besides being unfinished, the white paper also lists some great real-life use features connected to the RAIN coin.
I believe Condensate RAIN is a high quality coin with firm, long-term value. All it lacks is community support (and, perhaps, a dev who is willing to accept helping hands)

On the bottom left of your wallet are some pictographs. The second from the right is a cloud. park your pointer over it and a little info frame will pop up, telling you your weight, total weight of the pool, and the expected number of days for your coins to mature.
Since I'm new to pos as well, I'm checking that frame several times a day. In relation to my own question here above, it seems now that after receiving a stake, the counter (for lack of a better word) is reset, resulting in a ridiculously long maturation time. However, in the course of an hour or so, it dwindled from 123 to 81 days. So I guess, it'll end up again at around 5-6 days. I've got invested about the same amount as you, you see...

How long ago did you fund the wallet? With that amount, expect a maturing time of about 6-7 days.

I've recently started staking rain as my first pos coin. Just dipping my toes in the pool, sort of speak, to see how it all functions. This morning, I received my first stake and that felt mighty swell.
When I checked just now, however, my weight had dropped tenfold, and my next stake should arrive in over 100 days!
Any idea whether this is normal? Is their something I should do?
Appreciate the help...

Also, the wallet stops syncing after 10, maximum 20 seconds, and a message appears telling that if date and time settings of the computer aren't correct, the wallet cannot sync. But time and date are correct (at least: they indicate the time and date as is in my location)

This one seems solved, actually. After posting this message here, I noticed the time it was registered on differed from the time setting on my computer. Apparently, working with Windows after using Ubuntu for ages brings about some issues ...

I'm new at staking and after some days of message reading on Telegram's POS Coin Community, I decided to choose rain as my first coin to stake. But I'm having a hard time finding my way in the jungle. I've installed the wallet and downloaded the bootstrap, but I've no clue on what to do with the latter.
So, I guess, that's my first question: what to do with the bootstrap file?
Also, the wallet stops syncing after 10, maximum 20 seconds, and a message appears telling that if date and time settings of the computer aren't correct, the wallet cannot sync. But time and date are correct (at least: they indicate the time and date as is in my location)
Second question: what to do to get the wallet syncing properly?
My two (at the moment?) last questions are:
Do I need to do anything else besides following up on your suggestions on above questions?
How much should I invest to get reasonable stakes?
Thanks in advance, and I hope one day I'll be able to return the favor by helping out some other noob.
