Temp question
by
Gunday_07
on 27/08/2021, 11:08:30 UTC
Is there anyway to know the memory temp of GPUs like rx580s and 1660super? Why is no one worrying about them? Is there any software that can show these cards memory temp? I've never seen anyone talking about this than the 3070ti ,3080 and 3090s, small cards don't have memory temp issues?

Fiat is been used by criminals more than crypto because things are just easier with Fiat, you can easily track faster when it comes to crypto than Fiat, by the way regulations is coming to crypto but still isn't fiat regulated? Have crime rate reduced because of this? No of cos

Re: TOP WAYS TO EARN CRYPTOCURRENCY WITHOUT SPENDING MONEY
by

What doesn't requires money to earn money this days?

1. You will need data to hunt for airdrops
2. You will waste your time on them when majority won't pay
3. There is a saying that goes like this 'time is money'.
4. You need to offer something to get something back, airdrops bounties and others aren't really free if you think about it very well

Greed is why people lose money this way and I think they deserved it, why trying to sell something you don't work for? You don't join any airdrops you don't join any bounty promotions and yet you received free tokens? You should be smart enough to know that senders are up to something

Re: High withdrawal fee for small rigs owner
by
Gunday_07
on 26/08/2021, 09:57:22 UTC
I've tried various mining pools before and I've ended up choosing flexpool over others but lately I use 80-95 gwei (5-6$) as withdrawal fee which isn't too much if you running a big farm but as for a small rig owner like me it matters, after few research I see other options like binance pool which doesn't require a penny for withdrawal, at this stage isn't binance pool a better option?
Yup because binance built in exchange, you can sell right away, i use ethermine if mining eth, but at this current rewards, mining other alt are better than eth, and the fee almost nothing Grin
What other alts are better to mine than ETH right now? It was ergo and Ravencoin yesterday but they aren't always accurate like ETH, they might top the chart of the most profitable to mine today and tomorrow there are no where to be found again, you will keep switching between miners? ETH is just stable

Re: 2Miners have stopped paying out
by
Gunday_07
on 26/08/2021, 08:34:56 UTC
2Miners has now stopped paying out completely.

I fully get that gas fees are high, but would much rather pay high fees, than let someone else keep (steal) my money.

Trust is a fragile thing.

I am pretty sure they are not scamming you. The fees were high a few hours back but they are now in the <100 Gwei range. I don't know how 2miners works but most pools they usually pay a 1 Gwei fee and just include the transaction with the blocks that are mined by the pool. Pools like ethermine do this. So I am pretty sure its not due to the high fees.

Pools very rarely scam miners. There is really no reason to do so they keep very little in their wallet since payouts are so frequent there would be absolutely no point. Maybe there is some technical error and they are resolving it. However I am pretty sure they didn't do an exit scam.

EDIT,

had to look it up and I guess I am wrong about ethermine now. They no longer cover the fees due to London fork.

What? I don't believe this claim of yours, I have 70$ trapped on crazypool, some said they still works but I've not received my payout till date, it's been two weeks already, scam pools are 💯 real and there are few of them out there

You can use "70" now with NBminer 39.1 version, this have also unlock 1-2% of LHR cards, NBminer teams are really working hard on this, my rtx3060ti now gives me 57MH but bounce around within 55 and 57mh range, very good NBminer team very good

Art NFT projects sound somehow to me as well but the crazy part is people are buying, not just small time investors I'm talking about big investors out there, it means the whole idea works people like you and I are just unfortunately to not understand how the thing works, I will have to go deep and do my own research, I suggest you do the same

Just search for the XFX brand,I think it is the only one available as new in China.A few friends of mine bought in bulk like 25 of them to build their mining rigs. They found them through Alibaba and of course they had a contact in China who sent them the cards, you should NEVER buy through Alibaba without having a contact in China as the risk of getting scammed is really high.

But yes for the other brands most of them you cannot find new anymore.
I've bought cards from Alibaba without any agent in China checking things for me, the truth is always buy from verified sellers and stores, make sure that trade assurance is active so you can get refund if anything happens and also make sure you are buying from sellers that many have bought from and leave good comments

Many coins died in 2018 after bears trampled on crypto market, the end result was devastating so much that many coins got dead in few months, I'm positive that the next bear market will kill many projects too, weak projects aren't meant for bear season, to stay alive will be very hard

Re: I want to start Mining
by
Gunday_07
on 24/08/2021, 06:49:35 UTC
I’ve been in crypto since 2013 years or so and most people whenever they hear that I’m an expert they ask me about mining. I explain to them how you need specific equipment such as ASICS and low power costs. When they find out you make so little they either think I’m lying or just they give up.

Bitcoin and crypto is associated with the whole “get rich quick” mentality. Because when you think of a Bitcoin investor you think of someone that is wealthy. And it’s true for those that mined back in the day with their old GPUs. However many don’t realize that there is something called difficulty and that it’s vert difficult for a new comer to make decent money with mining let alone “get rich quick” type of money. If it was this easy, everybody would be mining instead of working.
You are right, I don't like wasting my time on newbies that want to have idea about crypto mining because in the end they will walk away, this isn't even about difficulty, some people are just too lazy to monitor rig, maintain them and tweak them too, they just want plug and play, I built one for a friend and he sold them a month later saying he doesn't like the idea

Wink is available on binance exchange and it's easy to use for newbies, you don't have to pass KYC verification too unlike some other exchanges, the best wallet to store wink is trust wallet, this wallet supports both bep20 wink and TRC20 wink, good luck

Re: BTC made it to 50k and ETH pumps but mining reward sucks
by
Gunday_07
on 23/08/2021, 15:11:28 UTC
50k is  for the media to do their job and hype it, so idiots can go and think btc will go to 100k and then buy now, this 50k is a media trap mentality, my long term target for this cycle still in play, 79k then hehell.
I'm confused, isn't your 79k prediction base on media trap too? Either media pump or not 79k is your target to sell and leave the market right? Or BTC will still have to go down again before tasting 79K ? Anyways visa isn't even taking the last in crypto space today as per my investigation, even if bear market do come crypto success is just getting started

GT 750M is not a good GPU for mining it's too weak, better find a gtx1660 or rx560, if it's laptop make sure it has minimum of these cards onboard, sorry about that gt750m is too weak for mining

Re: Sapphire GPU are poorly built? Or just not rugged
by
Gunday_07
on 21/08/2021, 16:02:00 UTC
Gigabyte and zotac has the worst cooling materials on them ( cheap thermal pads) while maxsun and yeston have worst cooling mechanism over all but Msi, Asus, sapphire and others are the first on my list, they never failed me, I'm shocked you said they die easily it depends on how the owner took care if the cards, no matter which brand if care is not taken the cards will die fast
I think this is not true. I have 4 year old Gigabyte and zotac graphics cards and they work great. Somewhere I changed some thermal seals, because they deteriorated when removing the cooling system.
Each model has its own problems and here you need to talk specifically. For example, I would not buy MSI MECH or Armor video cards, because this is the worst cooling, and I would buy GAMING with pleasure.
He is probably judging old zotac cards, zotac just learnt about their mistakes year ago there old GPU has worst cooling pads, I had to change the pads on my zotac 1660 super the pad melted on the chips and I found out they using cheap pads

Re: Fantom CBDC

I'm one of their few who thinks that CDBC is a joke and won't work out on the long run but fantom project kinda got me thinking, Fantom release news about their upcoming CBDC that will be representing bank of England, what the fuck? This whole thing got me confused now
No need to be confused about such things, whatever the news at this time, you have to explore it wisely so as not to get caught up in bad things, because trusting good news completely can also be very dangerous for everyone, because scammers are very smart in making such news. it's at this moment
Then you know nothing about fantom, this project have been around for a very long time now so it's far from scam I think OP was just surprised that they can be this supportive on CBDC is all

Re: 1GH in bear market
by
Gunday_07
on 19/08/2021, 10:58:26 UTC
I survived because i have very very cheap electricity. I remember videos when many miners turned off rigs because it was un profitable.
In this bear market 30mhs will not survive only 60mhs with 120watts has chance.
many rigs were 6gpu 180mhs it was giving 3-4$ a day Smiley
Sigh, why saying that 30Mh won't survive? If 60MH at 120watts can survive why not 30MH at 60watts? Two 30MH = 60MH @ 120watt, listen to yourself mate, free electricity is free electricity and cheap electricity is cheap electricity just stop bullying those with small GPUs lol
im not bullying small gpu im giving advice to make a plan. collect your money to pay electricity in the future if you willing to mine at loss if your electricity is high. Make lessons for yourself from the past what happened. Doing same mistake twice will be very stupid.
You are right, it's better to be prepared for both sides this is why I build solar farm instead, I don't want anything to bother me when bear market starts electricity costs is why mining stop making sense in bear market
