LOL Damn! Of course you are right. I´m mining ETH with Claymore´s atm ... don´t know why I thought I could mine XMR with it ...
So I will try it with sgminer!
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the quick reply. Is sgminer better (faster) than Claymore´s Dual miner (I don´t use the Dual function anyways)?

Hello! I can get 3 used AMD HD6990 GPUs for a very good price. Is it still possible to mine XMR with these Cards since they have 2 GPUs with each just 2GB RAM? For Ethereum they wont work because the DAG file is too large for their memory. But what about XMR?
I think it depends on bitcoin destiny. If bitcoin hard fork will success then ethereum will lost his price a lot. Because now ethereum price grows up so fast because of fear before bitcoin hard fork of some investors. My price is between 1,500-3,000$. When bitcoin price should be not less then 10,000$. I am very optimistic
Some says bitcoin prices might goes up to 100.000 dollars. So are you sure that you're optimistic?
In 5 years, we'll be talking about the year, 2022, where bitcoin block halving will have taken place 2 years ago. We'll observe huge price movements.
cmon $100000 for 1 BTC?!? I don´t believe there is such a huge market.
You can get Nvidia cards but they cost more..........
80 GB are not enough. Get at least 320 GB if you want to try different mining software (for different coins ie). Nvidia cost more and are (for most coins) slower than AMD GPUs, although they use less power ...
Well, that´s not that easy like you might think. Are you going to invest some money? You need powerful GPUs to mine most of the coins. Or big (8TB) HDD if you want to mine BURST. Another point to consider (if you go the GPU way) are your costs for electricity ... GPUs need a LOT of power. Give us more infos. Just an old PC will earn you nothing
