To value a start-up company at over 5 million USD? I shouldn't even have to answer that question. So a company that isn't making any money is now worth over 5 million. How long, if at all, do you think it will take for your stake to be worth anything? For it to double, the company, once it goes live, would have to make 5 million on top of that, and that's assuming 100% of their earnings will go into the value of Ether, which it certainly won't.
Just think about it and you'll see how overly-inflated the evaluation is.
That's prolly an understatement. Eth will prolly be worth 10mill or more by the time the IPO is done. and then 10 mill will have to be made for a 100% profit

so the genesis block can be pre-mined infiniately?. i thought a read somewhere that there was an 84% max pre mine or something?

I know a lot of people won't like it. But I live in NY and am eventually trying to launch a crypto business. I have no problem having my identity shared, and accountability for my actions. So I am in favor of the law from what I read so far. I think it will be the start of discussion on how we can bring crypto currencies to broader markets.

Just one question- if the vendor accepts bitcoins- i wud just pay in bitcoins (unless ofcourse i mined them and have vericoins)
So can you please explain whats the purpose that i first buy vericoins with my bitcoins (as there are no Fiat/veri market)- then i go to VeriBit to convert those vrc back to bitcoins to pay the vendor !!!

Im trying to speculate why the price has been skyrocketing.. figured it was because of cryptocoinsnews..
so, price was about 33k 6 hours ago, its now about 41k.. prolly beacuse of cryptocoinsnews ( i ithink)
CoinDesk is bigger, so.. CoinDesk + VRC article = big rise.
But Maybe not? sinse everyone who looks at cryptocoinsnews also watches coindesk, maybe no impact?
